My first experience with this Texas born and bred outfit was about 15 years ago when they expanded out of Lubbock and into the metroplex. My relationship has been up and down since then. However, recently with HEB out of San Antonio invading the metroplex,all boats seem to be floating higher due to the competition. I've noticed the Market Street prices have regressed as a result. Also,their stock selection and merchandizing has elevated. This store is no different. When it was in my path and fed my need to stop and grab some 5 o'clock refreshment,I found it fit the bill. The store is always immaculate, and the staff is both friendly and helpful. The prices are very competitive. They often have staff providing various tastings of snacks and drinks. They also have gorgeous flowers and a nice gift assortment. read more

I do prefer the Flower Mound location over their store in Coppell, but Market Street in general has been in a tailslide for many years. The selection of seafood is pedantic, wine is also equally lacking. I do like that they stock prime beef, which is nice, but overall it's not really a luxury grocery store like it pretends to be. Central Market beats this brand so bad it's not even funny, and even the prices aren't really "lower" anymore to justify the discrepancy. What it's basically turned into is a Tom Thumb, and by that I mean the modern evolution of Tom Thumb. Yes, I know the ownership roll up is the same, which is probably the reason for this. The produce department is small, almost claustrophobic, sometimes they're out of even basics such as Raspberries. Deli is fairly well stocked, but just outfitted with run of the mill Boar's Head wares. The staff is generally pretty hospitable, I never liked the "bring your groceries to your car" schtick, but it is available here if you opt not to use self checkout. The sales are rather laborious, as you have to use the app to clip coupons for most items; meanwhile at Central Market and or HEB you just scan the sale items and poof, they're priced correctly. I absolutely enjoy shopping at this store but today I bought grapes. When I got home to share with my kids, they were all old and bruised. I had to toss the grapes out. I didn't keep my receipt so I felt it pointless to return them. Maybe I need to be better at choosing grapes but maybe they need to do better mgt of their produce. read more

I must say I need to shop here more. I've been here before but a long time ago. The produce section was absolutely amazing and so colorful and neatly arranged. Everyone was working and putting things up. The kids were just excited to get in the fire truck basket and eat fruit and cookies... I think the variety of fresh sushi spoiled my husband so we will definitely be back.. OMG why didn't anyone tell me about the fresh sweet tea???? I mean I was torn because it was close McAlister's.... so y'all know me you already know if I can sip sweet tea while shopping I'm in there lol!!!!! I ordered a fruit basket which went to the wrong address. Presumably my error though. The woman who received it called to say it didn't belong to her but she was told not to worry about it and another one would be sent while I was told via email that I needed to pick it up myself. I sent an Uber to pick it up but given what she had been told the woman had already disassembled it. I called Market Street right away and was told another would be put together that I might not have to pay anything for and a manager would call the next day. That didn't happen. I called again next day and ended up speaking with 4 people to get this re-ordered including the Store Director who was abrasive and denied the above saying that the woman would not have been told to keep it (despite that it defies logic since she was honest enough to call and say that it didn't belong to her). Market Street was unwilling to work with me initially and this process of sending a bereavement basked took several days. Eventually they offered 20% off the second basket and hours of my time on the phone with various people. read more

I really wanted to love this store but I'm struggling. First off the lady giving pie/cake samples could care less about the customers and she was too busy texting on her phone. I took a sample but had no idea what it was or where to get it if I wanted more. Next stop was the bakery. I asked for fresh yeast and the girls had no idea what I was talking about. When I explained, she said she said that she couldn't sell it. Was looking for Masa. Found all sorts of flour but no Masa Flour. Then I was looking for dipping sauce for my Gyoza but they had none. I like this store. I like their products. I drive 30 minutes to get there but today the meat counter had a rookie girl that does not know her cuts or prices!! She charged me twice as much per pound for pork chops and labeled them a meat cut. How incompetent can she be? Yes I should have looked when I was checking out instead of home but I was bagging since a second Check out person was not available. Of course the store uses teens but have them learn first. They are teens! In the Butcher area too. I never got ripped off at Albertsons Kroger or other markets like this. Being charge 10.19 lb for pork chops ? The price and name is on them in the case at $5.00 lb. so next time I will not go to the market crud street. I can go to Whole Foods or Markets that are closer to my community of retirees. Remember when Market Street opened? It was good, worth paying more for items. Went in this morning, no one smiled, no one said Hello, Excuse Me, Thank you, Good Morning, not from a single employee! I was a bother for them. The manager brought up 2 heavy cases of drinks for me and dropped them in my cart. Wow these are heavy! Not, can I get someone to help you get these in your car. Not May I ring you out? (As he could clearly see by my bags that I already paid for the items.) I could have easily walked right out of the store. Instead I went to the self check out where the cashier was deep in conversation with another employee and clearly had no interest in helping me or the other gentlemen there. I like this store but the Deli needs real help. I waited 15 minutes and was given the wrong meat. I just gave it back to them because it clearly wasn't turkey after they insisted it was. I didn't feel like arguing after waiting so long. I just ended up buying already sliced boars head turkey instead. Please properly train your deli staff to work quickly and accurately. Never lets me down. I've came here when it's raining, snowing, and even during some tornado weather. All around the best grocery store In town. Although the return policy on alcohol is horrific. It should be a complete no refund. NOT if you return it, you have to purchase that same amount in sales for other alcohol. That's not right... There is no way that protocol makes sense to management. Endless (and flexible) beer and wine selection; the store associates and managers encourage you to request your favorite and they will survey the consensus and bring in what the people want! Upon completing a thorough walk through the store, they not only have the most popular items, but they have an amazing array of local and "mom-and-pop" food and drink items. The community feel in this store is heavy and warm. We were reminded several times that if we can't find something we like, we should just ASK and they will find a way to make it available in the store. This store has an olive bar, a coffee bar, a food bar, salad bar, soup bar, bulk bar, snack bar, sushi bar and a beer and wine bar! There's plenty of convenient cafe-style seating; inside, atrium, and outside! It also features a delicatessen, bakery, fish market and meat market. You can TASTE produce before you buy it, just ask a produce associate! There's a giant playground out the back (under construction as of the day of the Grand Opening) - what more could a GROCERY STORE have? How about extremely friendly and helpful staff - who asked us our names, and said farewell to us by name as we left. I will review as I shop here more often (which will be very often, since we can walk to it!) but as of right now, the overwhelming review is, unquestionably, five stars. Wow, this place is amazing and it's also huge. I would describe it as part Kroger, part Natural Grocers and part café. They have a dining area near the Peets Coffee Bar and a covered terrace outdoors with tables. It's a lot of things put in one place which is a little overwhelming. I spent a significant amount of time in only a third of the store. They have an outstanding looking bakery, cheese shop, wine, sushi and even a café area. The prices on those items were actually quite reasonable. Everyone was so friendly and chatty, I really liked it here! I even heard customers telling other customers how much they loved certain products. I thought their wine and cheese selections were extensive, their sushi looked very fresh and I was staring mouthwateringly at their bakery display. In fact, I got distracted by food a lot when I entered. People kept greeting me and asking to help me and I had to sheepishly tell them I was fine, just staring at their cakes and then ribs and then sushi and then gigantic sandwiches and then beautiful loaves of bread and then... well, you get the idea. Their produce was higher than I expected. I appreciate that they had organic items and there was even a Graple... which I thought was made up... so nice selection. I just found that the prices were really high. I thought the prices were really high for the meat as well. Then there's a large section of the store that is a typical grocery store with the typical selection and prices. There were some items that were very cheap and some items that I knew I could get cheaper at a few places, and we're talking pre packaged items like crackers, pet food and cleaner. Their dairy section was extensive and impressive and the prices were outstanding! I was really surprised after touring other sections of the store to see prices that rivaled Winco. They had so many options for dairy and dairy alternatives and even typically pricy items like creamer were very cheap. I would definitely consider coming here for milk, cheese and yogurt. What a great find! Their bakery items and bread look great. The only thing I tried from the bakery was a macaron that was kind of meh. However, the cakes look wonderful. On my second trip I checked out their pre packaged items and café area a little more. Their salad bar looked okay and they had an assortment of pizza, fried chicken and brisket. I thought the selection for a grocery store was the most impressive aspect of it. I didn't realize until I decided to actually try something, just how cheap these items were. They had sandwiches and paninis that were $4-5 but absolutely gigantic! I got a small comfort plate with catfish and a side of mac and cheese, with a roll (they offered many bread options though) which included a small drink and was only $3.99. It was a surprisingly good lunch on the run and their sweet tea was very good. The catfish was pretty good and the mac had a really great flavor. I couldn't believe I got a satisfying meal for that price in a store. It was a really pleasant surprise and I may even put them in my rotation on the days I'm too busy to get a lunch at work. This experience made me look forward to trying their sushi- which I heard several customers saying was really good. While eating in their dining area I saw many people camped out and working on their laptops while others were catching up with friends. Never thought to go to Market Street for that, but it works. While eating I saw their coffee bar was very popular. I am one of those people who cannot leave the house until I have had a pot of coffee so I rarely get coffee while I'm out and never in the later afternoon. However, the drinks that were being served were so pretty I am seriously considering stopping by while running errands on a weekend. It's a nice alternative to a Starbucks in a Kroger, that's for sure. The location is extremely convenient on 2499 and 3040. There is a gas station, a Hollywood Feed and several other places that would make it easy to stop in the area and get a lot done. The store itself has a lot going on and that makes it closer to a one stop shop, depending on your goal for the day. I can definitely say that they have a lot to offer to a wide variety of customers and I appreciate that in any business. We had a fantastic experience using all three for our wedding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous...I can't say enough! Far exceeded our expectations. The cake was delicious and beautiful. Not one piece went to waste...it was devoured! And the food...the food was wonderful and Sarah did a fabulous job of setting up! The coconut chicken and sweet Asian meatballs had rave reviews!!! I love love love this place! I would choose this over any grocery stores out there. Love the different variety of veggies, meat, seafood, deli and to-go meals. Not to mention their flower shop. It is just heavenly. I enjoy spending most of my time shopping for plants and flowers. They're always fresh and have the best selections. And to top it all off... they have Peet's coffee!!!! I Love Peet's Coffee. Ever since moving here from Chicago I thought I would never have Peet's coffee again ... or not until my next visit to Chicago or Seattle or SFO. I know it's just coffee but it's more than coffee. Not trying to be nostalgic but it certainly brings back memories when I was back in college at Northwestern University... I don't usually shop there because the prices seem high. Then I realized their prices are pretty good if you pay attention to the ads. Also, I don't expect good customer service from high school kids but the young people who work there seem very polite and capable. The deli department, some lack communication skills but then one guy really went out of his way when they made a mistake after I waited 25 min for fried chicken. I really love this store! When we moved here, I didn't know what stakes are waiting for me to give this market a try. To think that there are too many choices in the area. So one day I visited just to look around. Oh wow, I'm so impressed! Staff are very courteous and always smiling. I'm not used to that kind of service and very rare to experience a warm approach where I came from. Bonus point and I think it's a must that staff will walk you to the car and help you with your groceries to unload in your car. Wow! That's amazing and service to the max! Hands down! Plenty of options inside the store. Check their specials often. Got a good deal once of $5.00 for a lobster tail. Be a rewards member and it's free. You just need to register online. You'll get good deals every time you reach a certain points which is very easy if you shop here regularly. This is my go to store. The store has a great selection of foods, which I love. What I don't love is the manager Sydney acting as if I'm lying or a thief every time I buy something on sale. 1st bad sydney experience- My husband and I went grocery shopping one Friday night and were excited to see multiple items on clearance marked "discontinued" and priced very low, mostly $.89 for items like a package of gluten free ice cream sandwiches, salsas, etc. The items didn't ring up for their discounted price, so the cashier called over the manager Sydney. When I told her the price the item was marked at she rolled her eyes and said "I don't think that's right, but I'll do it anyway". I am 100% sure it was correct, I even read the description on the label and made sure it matched the item. 2nd bad sydney experience- I got a mailer with coupons printed on it that says "use your rewards card and get these great offers- $1 scoops ice cream, and $5 off produce. Well of course the discount didn't come up automatically so the cashier calls over her manager Sydney. Sydney says "there is a $10 minimum" me: "the mailer didn't say that anywhere, there was no fine print". Sydney: "did you bring the coupon?" me: "no, it's not an old school coupon you have to bring in. It says use your rewards card and get these savings." Sydney starts to walk away without discounting my order, so I have to again state my case and she rolls her eyes and says "that's not right, there is a $10 minimum", but discounts my order as she says this. I really like this grocery store. Everyone is friendly and they will take your groceries out to your car unless you decline. They have a nice coffee shop with good variety of coffee. Their flower section is pretty good but if you have particular flowers that you want it's probably safest to call a few days ahead. They have a really nice bakery section, they have some types of bread that I haven't seen anywhere else. It's also right by 2499 so it's easy to get to it. read more

This Flower Mound location does not appear to me to be as customer friendly and service oriented as other locations. Their ready to go sandwich and salad area is very small compared to other locations and the manager who oversees that area doesn't seem to care to meet customer requests. A small example; I went in to pickup a chicken salad sandwich and they didn't have any so I asked the sandwich maker if he could make one. He said he could "only make these" pointing to Cubana and panninis. He asked his manager and the manager said "we don't do those here, other stores do" When you have a full deli and workers just standing around waiting for customers, how hard is it to make a couple of sandwiches? Very unimpressed with the Flower Mound location and won't likely be going back. Management should take note. read more

This is an update for the Peet's Coffee bar: I just had an iced coffee with sugar-free Monin syrup. I swear, this was the best iced coffee I've ever had. It's so good. I have no idea how or why is it so much better than the iced coffee at other places but it really is that much better. The Monin syrup is the best. I really want to love this place but they make me feel like I'm a burton when it's their job! The section is the best on the area, though when I asked for a piece of skirt steak the be tenderized... it blew their mind and they we're in capable of doing it! Also the tortilla selection is awful... which is a huge factor in the Tex-Mex here. This place would be awesome if they made their own... much like Kroger! Then their food they have either to eat there or for to go.... this is a nice feature but most of the time it's cold! First time here and only came to get tillamook ice cream.. They are the only place that sell it here in Texas.. And the selection is wonderful. As for the rest of the market.. Produce was nice and fresh looking and the meat were all packed nice. People who were there to hand out samples were great. But not that much different from other markets. . I love this store. They've got everything here. And stuff you didn't know existed. Like 30 different types of flour. I'm definitely coming here if I need something out of the ordinary for a recipe. I'm sure they'll have it. The store is super clean. It's reminiscent of a mother's or whole foods, but there is something about it that I prefer. I can't quite place it. Everything is really well organized like a grocery store, but it still has the feel of a health food spot. The prices are really reasonable and competitive with grocery store prices. AND they don't just carry healthy foods. I found mocha Oreos there - 2 for $5. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable too. I love this little spot. Each time I've gone it hasn't been super busy so I'm able to shop in peace. I'll be back :) read more

So glad to have this place nearby! Pros: Great spot to grab a meal with the family or friends. There is a good variety of hot food and salad bars etc. Grocery section seems to be well stocked with good variety, but I don't do much grocery shopping here. There is a seating area inside, and a patio area with TVs, but the jackpot is the outside tables with beautiful shade trees and a playground for young kids. We haven't attended any (yet) but they offer some special music events etc. Cons: It's pricey. They could use some kind of system for getting drinks and multiple meals to the outdoor area. It's tricky to transport everything especially if you have multiple small kids. --------- Go check it out! I'm grateful for this place that encourages community in our town. read more
