My favorite White Rock Local Market buy. I use it as salad dressing!
    Diana D.

So much fun and lots of great local product. My favorite find is Cita's Salsa, Garden Green flavor. I am using it on everything and I will never purchase salad dressing again! Just be aware that it has no preservatives and must be used quickly. There were several local farms and ranches peddling their goods. Blue Yarn Farms had eggs from their "Delirously Happy Chickens," Green Spot breakfast tacos were spot on. Fresh bread and pastries from The Village Baking Co. It was small enough to stop at while running Saturday morning errands, but big enough to make the stop worthwhile. I am a fan!

Season is in full swing and in love this place. Like many farmers markets you need to be sure to look for those who actually grow it. Sometimes people sell at the farmers market after buying wholesale! So, go and enjoy a Green Spot taco while checking out the booths... There is fresh food, a seafood dealer, meats, breads and sometimes cheeses. Check out this local gem and support something important for every one of us - natural fresh food! I try to buy from all the small organic vendors to make sure they keep coming back! Also, if you forget cash they can give your token from your debit card and they also accept the food stamp cards for token now too.

Red Ranger Ray Guns made from recycled stuff... CRAZY! And no they do NOT shoot!

This market is a fun way to begin your weekend, unfortunately it is only on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. It is held in the parking lot of a strip mall and parking is relatively easy, although sometimes you have to ride the lot a few times before a space opens up. Diversity and fun is the name of the game. Don't just whiz through... stop and talk to the vendors and farmers as well as others attending the market. What are you looking for? Fresh veggies? Got it! Organic meat? Got it! Goat cheese? Got it! Hypnotic donuts? Got it! Herbs for your garden? Got it! Jellies, bread, biscotti, honey, goats milk soap, bicycles, olive oil, cheese, eggs, pasta... GOT IT! And how about Red Ranger Ray Guns... GOT IT! (oh... you weren't looking for that?) You better check it out for a few good laughs and to learn the fine art of recycling. And how about some recycled glass yard art? Check out Tiffany on a Stick. Meet Garlic Mike and a fella I call Mr. Kohlrabi (grows the finest kohlrabi around!) And where else can you find a fella dressed as a buzzin' bee? Now that takes guts! The market is dog friendly and you might even find a dog here needing to be adopted. Bring the whole family for a fun start to your weekend! Meet you at the Green Spot!

The best source I've found in Dallas for all natural soaps, lotions, soy candles, and air fresheners.

This is a great market in all the ways I like. There is fresh, tasty produce, local products, creative arts and gifts, freshmade bakery goodies, walkable size, spicy pickles, helpful booth staff, and innovative items. Try it...you'll like it. My best find ever is the White Rock Soap Gallery. Everything they offer is handcrafted here in Dallas by "family". If you like quality products at a great price, they are the folks to see for soap, candles, lotions, creams, and air fresheners. This market makes it worth it to get up early on a Saturday morning.

Wonderful time! Wish it would open again before March! Delicious honey and tamales! Beautiful cutting boards! All local. We will be back!

These are glorified flea markets selling cheap jewelry, overpriced soaps and rebagged vegetables you buy at the corner grocers, resold as artisan greens at a 500% markup. Most all these actual food vendors are only resellers of meat and dairy made/harvested by another company. The fact that you can purchase up to $150.00 with an EBT card for overpriced groceries is a joke! If you like paying $6-8 for a small 5 inch loaf of banana bread while sipping on a $10 matcha mocha latte in a 10oz cup, while shopping for $5 bar soap that'll give you a rash, you'll love these places. Also, while claiming 60-100 vendors at each market, I counted barely 40 on any given weekend, not counting the food truck. By all means, buy local, but save it for actual stores, not these ripoff pop ups.

I came here to buy bags of food items to re-stock my pantry. The huge bag of Gari bought was spoilt, has foul odor and taste horrible and unfit for consumption . Everyone in the family spot confirms this immediately. I had on other occasions over looked spoilt yams bought from this store by just trashing them and moving on. But on this occasion , i had to drive 40 miles with the bag of Gari back to them ,so they could at least see for themselves what they are selling to the public. Their customer care was so poor that they refuse to even touch, smell or taste the gari to confirm. They were so rude and lack any iorta of customer care , they just told me nothing is wrong with it and nothing could be done about it. I advice them to taste from the batches of same batch of bags on the rack were it was sold from to confirm, the never bulge nor show any remorse. I was not ready to ruffle my gentleman-ship because of a bag of gari, i simply left it with them and went to a nearby African Store at Richland to buy another bag of Gari. Avoid them like plague, Worst place ever.

The cedar market ranch has quickly become a regular stop for my house hold on grocery day! Not only because of the fact I can get my entire grocery veggie and fruit haul for $30 or less, but the quality of the produce is always so fresh! The location is tucked away in the cedars of Dallas and honestly you would miss it if you don't have the exact address! It's inside of an old brick warehouse, which if you ask me, adds to the entire vibe of the establishment! To make it 10x better, they always have other local vendors and small businesses selling their product as well! My favorite part of it all is the fact that they open their doors for other local businesses. Our favorite has quickly become their food vendor in the front, Lola's kitchen! And on top of that, they have a coffee shop in side as well! How can it get any better!!! Their service is always a 10/10! You can definitely feel the family vibes! Which is a big reason we keep coming back! If you are ever in the area, I recommend stopping in! I know we will be back for sure!
