A must see when in Daytona. What a fabulous tour, sampling, and cocktails. It makes a difference when you are able to interact with an owner who is enthusiastic and passionate about his business. A little something for everyone. The owner even made NA cocktails for our DD, and minors that were accompanying us.

John and I were going on a cruise and it occurred to me that one of the distilleries I have been wanting to go to would be open on the day we return!!! Add to google calendar! Open Wednesdays- Saturdays, and John's days off being Sunday- Monday, this was the perfect opportunity to pop in and try some fabulous rum! Jeremy was our tasting guide, owner, distiller... yeah, he poured our samples while talking to us about the business and how each spirit is made. They make their own vodka here, a rarity- and that's their base spirit. Made with Florida Sugar Cane- the vodka had a surprise vanilla finish! The silver rum was also wonderful on the palette. Then we tried the wine finish rum, port finished rum, beer barrel finished rum (John's favorite of course), their gin- if they weren't out of stock, we would have bought this one. They also made a specialty moonshine for a Jeep event! Located in Holly Hill, this small business will be sure to knock your socks off!!! We bought one of the beautifully displayed gift baskets with 3 bottles of spirits, 2 pint glasses, 2 whiskey glasses, a shot glass and coasters all engraved with their Copper Bottom logo. Plus, I got a shirt and a charcuterie paddle, also engraved with their logo! My vacation ended a little rough, but we made up for it here! Another stamp in our Florida Distillery Tour Passport & a new favorite!!! They are currently adding a huge patio on the side for events! Plus their tasting room has great vibes! I was tempted to buy one of their craft candles too! You can't go wrong supporting this small business!

Perhaps one of our absolute favorite distilleries in all of Florida! We've been getting our Florida Distillery Trail passport stamped along the way and Copper Bottom is one that totally stands above the others, hence the name Copper Bottom! Jeremy and his wife have created unique, smooth, enjoyable spirits in a friendly, open and family vibe space. Even during a Daytona Bike Week Poker Run, Jeremy took the time to share his story, and each spirits story, with us and even a quick run into the distillery for a tour! The vodka though, the smooth rich vodka... you've gotta try the vodka!!

Jeremy is the man!! We made a quick stop for a drink before we head out to lunch and wow we are so thankful we did! This frozen pina colada and strawberry daiquiri, made with their rum they make in-house, are amazing!! It hit the spot on this sunny day!

We were in the area to visit with our relatives. He suggested going here. This wasn't on our radar coming into it. When you pull up, do not judge a book by its cover. That was my first impression as well. We walked in and Jeremy, the owner was very welcoming. He waited for others to join our party and if any others showed up. They provide free tasting and tours. The tour was incredible for myself. I'm a winemaker, and everything he explained was very interesting and stuff that I get into when it comes to fermenting of alchohol. Jeremy, provided an excellent tour on his equipment, barrels, etc; The tasting was amazing, he and his partner discussed about the different vodka and rum that they had available. Provided a sample taste of each of them. Provided options on when drinking it, what and what not to do. He answered any questions that anyone had. His stuff was really good, We purchased a bottle to take home. Overall experience was excellent. One of the cool things is that they have a Facebook counter behind the bar. Anytime you go on Facebook and like the page, the counter changes. That was pretty awesome.

This place was great. We first got a tour of their facility and I learned the difference between distilling vodka, rum, and whiskey. They even have some beer barrels that they age their spirits in. One of the barrels is from Beachfly Brewery, which is a must-go. Next, we had samples of each, a mixed drink, and then bought a few bottles. They were reasonably priced. They make their spirits from sugar cane and no grains. I thought that was pretty cool.

This local distillery makes very nice smooth rum and vodka. I have had it at parties and events around town. During the Covid-19 pandemic they made hand sanitizer and actually gave it out for donations. Thank you for the hand sanitizer.

I will be headed back soon to fill these favorites back up .

Absolutely love the vibe of this distillery. My favorite's are single Barrel Rum and the Port finished rum . Everyone is friendly and make you feel welcome! If your in the area you should make this a stop for some taste testing .

Was looking for something locally brewed and stumbled upon a bottle of Copper Bottom Vodka back in 2020 in the liquor stores while visiting the Ormond Beach area. Well, I loved it!! After realizing it was so close to our resort we went to tour the facilities when we came back in 2021. It was amazing!! The staff was great!!! He answered any questions we had, chatted with us about anything and everything, and was just very friendly and personable. We still absolutely love their product! We love them so much I just ordered two bottles to gift to a friend for a "Stock the bar" house warming party. Couldn't think of a better gift to share with some great friends. If you are ever in the area, Copper Bottom it is a must!

Love visiting this location!…read more I've always made sure to make a stop here when I'm visiting St. Augustine. This last visit was no different! Inside is spacious, clean and what's really interesting is that they have informative areas that showcase the distillation process and other fun facts about the distillery! I enjoy coming for their tasting that they offer. While it use to be free of charge local businesses in the area that also had tastings started charging so that makes sense especially with the amount of visitors they get! Luckily it's only $5 dollars and you get a chance to enjoy a variety of their products. There are employees are different stations that give you information on the spirits and mixers they offer while they craft drinks for you to try. Such as a mule with their vodka, a sweet tasting drink with their crafted rum, another with gin and the final stopping point is an old fashioned! If you end up loving any of the drinks, you're able to purchase a bottle there in their gift shop. They also offer to hold any of your purchases for a later pickup time if you don't want to be holding onto your purchase if you're busy visiting and exploring the city. They also provide different paid experiences involving their whiskey. I have yet to try them out but maybe one day I'll make sure to!

We stopped in unexpectedly, signed in without any trouble, and were done in under a half hour. It helped that it wasn't crowded at all and our group of 5 were the only ones on the tasting tour at the time. You get to taste 4 different cocktails made with their various products. The first two were decent, with the second being a step up from the first. The third was our favorite by far, a tiki rum cocktail that actually had a really nice flavor to it. The fourth and final one was a straight vodka pour from an older woman at the last station. She told us that good vodka shouldn't taste like nail polish, which is a bold thing to say right before handing someone a sample that tasted pretty much exactly like acetone. A couple of us couldn't even finish it. The staff overall were super friendly though, and it was genuinely cool getting to go behind the scenes and see all the big machinery in the distillery. Now the gift shop at the end is a different story. Everything was overpriced, and their clearance section was almost insulting, with maybe $2 knocked off the regular prices. We won't be buying any of their products, but for $5 the tasting itself was a fun little experience worth checking out if you're in the area.

They had quite a lineup for tasting. And the samples are free! I enjoyed their orange blossom sweet tea vodka. The orange blossom makes it a little different than the usual sweet tea vodkas. On the menu, they have a John Daly cocktail. As a golfer and a fan of golf, I was destined to enjoy this cocktail. And their prices! Talk about a bargain! My drink was only $7.99. We had a few more samples and then I spied their seasonal frozen drink. It's a spiked "hot" cocoa! That frozen drink was so good. You could not detect the vodka in it but I'm sure it would kick in. I just had a sip of my husband's. So good. The store is super cute. They were busy decorating the place with Christmas stuff- even though Christmas is literally around the corner! Haha. A bit late but much appreciated. They have quite a bit of merchandise. Some is loggerhead and some is just cute gift type- for example- their tea towels are funny! I grabbed two for Christmas gifts. They have shirts, coffee mugs and tons of bar glassware. You can even buy bottles of their spirits. The place is a bit small. There's a Large table that seats about ten people and then standing room. You can see right into their distillery from the windows. Their spirits are offered at a few local restaurants, including The district, which is next door. Parking is along the street. The little lot across from them is gone- it's undergoing construction to be some retail building. Definitely stop by when you're in the area. Have a free taste, get a cocktail and pick up some gifts. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
