One of the very few really good used bookstores in Clark County. Nice variety of the classics and a good history collection.

Very friendly staff, they just don't "believe in masks." The selection is just okay, I do recommend Dragon Castle Books for the much larger selection and safety precautions. I had emailed the store asking if they had a few books in stock. Wendy was so nice to look for me, and said she'd place a book on hold for me, and that it would be at the store on a certain day. I came in that day to buy it, but they said it was still at the warehouse. I was a bit disappointed but took a look around anyway. They had a nice rare edition of another book I was interested in, for a fair price. The man who was helping everyone initially told me they were having 40% off of the already discounted store store prices, but when I got to the register they did not honor that extra 40% off price. Perhaps I misunderstood him. Overall I appreciate the very friendly staff, but I do not recommend stopping by, and instead recommend going to Dragon Castle for better selection and safety. read more

The best used bookstore in Las Vegas! Many people don't realize that they have a HUGE warehouse of books they don't keep on site so if you want a book call or ask! They probably have it in another location or can get it for you. Their prices are the best around and they are just so nice. Wendy the owner really cares about her patrons and she even has book clubs who meet in the store some week nights. There is a cat in the store sometimes so be aware! read more

What a hidden gem!! I needed to get a book for a Christmas book exchange but didn't have any copies of my beloved "Little Women" I wanted to part with. Both of the owners quickly started scouring the store and ended up finding me three versions! And a few other books on my reading list. This store is wonderful! I came in when I visiting from out of town and absolutely loved the store! They had a decent size selection of young adult books and the prices were beyond reasonable! They were having a 40% off sale while I was there so the prices were even a better deal. The people working there were extremely friendly and helpful as well. Glad to find them on Yelp! I stopped at Fat Boy for a bite to eat, first time in there and right next door I was very happy to see this bookstore, I had to go inside while I waited for my food! Wendy and Anthony are the owners and extremely nice and helpful and even showed me around so I knew where the books were that I was hoping to find. No luck on this run but I was able to put in an order for a book! It was a cool, comfortable space and I really want to go back and take more time to look around and see what is there, I am sure I missed a ton! So nice someone had the courage to open a real bookstore! It's filled with used books of all sorts. Found a book that was somewhat rare here, it was so exciting! Like finding treasure. My son found a rare book too, from an accomplished, professor born in 1800s in a subject he plans to study next year when he's off at college. It's fun, you just don't know what you may find, a surprise awaits! This store gives space for discovering a book you didn't know you wanted to read! How lovely it is to be able to hold a book in your hand, and then decide if you would like to purchase it after reading a few lines, as opposed to ordering online and being so sure. Another plus is there really is an actual 'copper cat' that belongs to owners, a ginger beauty, that gives store a homey feel. read more

Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue except for the extremely one sided views on how wonderful Donald Trump is, Obama not being a citizen and their narrow minded opinion on gays. read more

I came here looking for The Alchemist with my mom, the owners were very helpful and got it for me while we looked around. The shop is cute, charming and the owners were very friendly. There were all kinds of fun trinkets around the shop and a lot of them were themed with popular book series like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and other fun miscellaneous Knick knacks. Walking into this shop was like stepping out of Las Vegas for a moment and into an old storefront in Boston or New York. I had no agenda or specific title I was looking for (dangerous, I know, to love books and wander aimlessly in a bookstore) so I was quickly lost in the stacks and emerged with an armful of finds from Cormac McCarthy to underground histories of Las Vegas. Small bookstore packs a big punch! I'm a huge reader and there is nothing better then browsing through a used bookstore that has little nooks and crannies to read and relax in. The selection was great and very reasonably priced. If we don't support these great local gems we will be left with all big box stores and no personality. read more

It's a charming book store that has friendly, knowledgeable owners. There is often a store cat inside and when that's the case, they put out a sign so you know kitty is there. They have a wide selection of books and are happy to order anything you need. They also opened their store to us after hours to use for a quarterly writer's group. My sister and i fell absolutely in love with this cute bookstore! Great variety in books selections, and other merchandises that support other local businesses. They had harry potter pillows that are so cute and soft~ (I only bought one, but my goal is to collect more lol) The couple running the store are so kind and friendly, very welcoming and feels comfortable to be in! They are so willing to help you find what you are looking for (and try to find it for you if they don't have it in stock), chat about books, and make you feel so welcome in their shop.
