A pretty cool place. I live in Las Vegas and have been wanting to come here for the longest time so now that I am on a 2 week vacation, I figured why not, my brother and I (he has a car) decided to check this out. It is upstairs and downstairs. It was almost like walking in someone's home as there were rooms and more rooms and more rooms of unique items and they also had soaps and honey. I found a snowglobe for Christmas. Peg was the woman behind the counter, she was super nice and friendly. 100% would go back, probably in October when I get another vacation. There were a lot of Witchy items inside, like crystals and tarot cards, incense and things along those lines, which is great :) Price wise, can be spendy but look its an antique market, there was a product I was going to buy that was $65 but I know I can buy it on ebay for $35 (Looked it up while there) so I didn't get that. read more

On my recent trip to the antique shops of Boulder this store was the biggest with the most stuff. I noticed good quality things. A wide variety of things at mostly fair prices. It almost seemed more like an east coast type of antique shop. I saw a lot that I haven't seen in a couple decades. The only downside is that this place is a very old building and has many trip hazards so be careful where you walk. Also when planing a trip to Boulder City keep in mind that the majority of businesses here open later than posted hours. Parking was close and easy. read more

Three Stars, just for the merchandise available at this Boulder City antique mall alone. Outstanding selection of collectibles, almost all with (even for antique malls) ridiculously high prices. If high prices don't scare you, this place is well worth checking out because, man, do they have some pretty great stuff. I love Pyrex. Vintage Pyrex, that is. Originally Pyrex was made with Borosilicate glass, the same stuff they make test tubes out of. Vintage Pyrex can go from freezer to oven. Modern Pyrex isn't made with borosilicate and doesn't have the same heat stability. Well, Goat Feathers has the good stuff. I really wanted a replacement for an 8"x8" Pyrex baking dish I broke a couple months ago. I remembered they had them the first time I visited in 2022. But what I didn't anticipate was the price increase. The dish I wanted, that was $18 in 2022, was $25 today. I thought about it for a quick minute and then said nah, that's just too much. I spotted a vintage Pyrex oblong baking dish for only $12 and decided to get it instead of the 8"x8". I was astounded it was only $12, as it had a feature I had never seen on a Pyrex dish before: a thin ridge on the bottom that lifts the dish off whatever you set it on. The Pyrex baking dish was my only purchase. But I spent another hour just enjoying the collectibles on display. They have tons of stuff I used to collect. I spotted a yellow Lipton Tea Kettle exactly like one I have at home. I actually have 4 or 5 of those beautiful tea kettles in various colors. They wanted $25 for the one I saw today. I was tempted, but I had to remind myself I'm not collecting anymore. I had to remind myself of that fact repeatedly as I walked through the store. Especially at every vendor that was selling Salt and Pepper shakers. NGL, it was a struggle. Reading other reviews of this place I noticed that several people commented on how unpleasant the sellers are at Goat Feathers. I wish I had something the contrary to say, but that was my initial impression of the place too. This visit was better than my first, but I attribute that to not interacting with the sellers until I was ready to check out. I found this beautiful patina'd copper pot and lid with a unique shape AND it happened to be 50% off. It's one of those stores that you have to visit regularly due to a changing inventory and deals. read more

It's a cool store. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't even entertain offers made. Only antique store I've ever been to that practices this type of business. Prices are "decent" to very high. The price tag you see is what you pay. If you are lucky they will give you 10% off, which basically pays for the tax. Also, most employees aren't very friendly. You're lucky if they even look at you. Not sure why this store is the way it is. It's sad. I think they cater to tourists who will throw down money, vs locals who are on a budget. Go to Bella around the corner. I wanted to like this Antique store since they have some good stuff sometimes, but when the employees get attitude when you ask for a deal or to call the seller of the items for a better price it becomes no longer an enjoyable experience. Not sure why some antique stores take it personal and fight with the customer about calling sellers. The employees don't own the product but act like they do. Just call the seller and ask for the best deal for your customers instead of making them upset and not wanting to come back. This store lost a big sale due to their attitude towards the customer. read more

I am a avid teacup and tabletop clock collector so we ventured over to Boulder to give a few on their shops a look last Sat. Goatfeathers has a lot to look at. Everything from buttons and matches to beautiful pieces of antique furniture You could easily send an hour just looking at their items.. most is priced reasonably but as you would expect some of it is priced way too high. I would go back to look for my teacups but not in the near future I have a feeling the inventory doesn't change very often. read more

My wife just loves to meander around this large shop, looking for a deal. Me... I sit on the couch & patiently wait. It is a large two story place stuffed to the gills with memorabilia & quite a bit of handmade knick-knacks. Those of us from the local area visit Boulder City quite often & each time, we know to stop in at Goatfeathers. The merchandise changes often, as do the vendors. Each time we visit my wife finds a new treasure to admire. Generally speaking the prices aren't too high & it's possible to get a discount. By far my favorite antique store in Boulder City- and probably the largest, too. Lots of variety, carefully curated into distinct sections and styles. Plenty of stuff to search through, but their jewelry is awesome! Vintage earring selection is on point, necklaces and earring sets are not even necessarily antique but retro-style and great prices: $10 for a pair of earrings that can totally make an outfit; $13-18 for a necklace-earring set that will elevate a simple black dress to A-List status. Lots of various collectibles here, but my favorite section is their Scrabble area: tiles divided into consonants and vowels, along with game boards and the trays, to customize into crafts however your heart desires! Anyone who loves Scrabble as much as I do automatically gets mad respect. Staff is busy but friendly, love that they don't follow people through the store or endlessly try to make pointless chitchat- sometimes I just want to browse without being bothered! read more

I've visited Goat Feathers several times over the past dozen years and would normally give them 5 stars ... but this time I give them only 3. The reason is that during my visit this past Saturday, they were playing LOUD "Hip-Hop" and "Rap" music over their music system. Given that it's an ANTIQUE store, it would be logical and nostalgic that they play music from the 40s through 70s. Not only was the music redundant and obnoxious, but at least a couple of other customers looked at me and commented on how terrible and distracting it was. I normally love this place, but this time I could hardly wait to leave. Sure I have gray hair, but so did 75 percent of the other customers in the store, as well. read more

This place is so great. A combination of antiques and handmade items, the shop is clean and well lit. We found some holiday items this trip, and have found fun treasures on previous trips. Unlike many antique shops, I never feel cramped or claustrophobic in here and I feel I can move around easily through the booths. My husband and I love to come and walk through the store after breakfast at the Boulder Dam Hotel. This time I hit the jackpot! I normally don't go upstairs thinking it's the same stuff as before. I have started a collection of tabletop Christmas trees. I was so excited to see so many different trees that were not only glass but they lit up too! I think I bought 6, and they were all on sale! We have stopped here a few times over the years. This place is crazy big! And amazing! You could spend hours in here!! There is just about everything you can think of. My husband loves seeing old stuff and he could spend forever in these kinds of shops. Sometimes a little too long lol I love seeing the stuff but I am not looking for too much and don't want to buy something just because. I need to bring stuff here! :) But it is enjoyable to just browse. It is fun to see all the stuff people have collected and each area has so much to see and even a upstairs with stuff! During our journey into the unknown, THE CITY OF BOULDER aka Boulder City, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I didn't know what was in store for me, until I saw all of the antique shops! ANTIQUE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! I had no idea we'd be going antiquing that day, but out of all the shops we got to explore, this was my favorite one! As we were walking towards it, I spotted a Goat and the sign "Goat Feathers." I had no idea what it meant, but my friends and I were so intrigued by the name of the place, we HAD TO GO IN! This giant emporium had to be closest to the most organized! From the antiques, giant movie posters, old school typewriter, candy, handmade jewelry, vintage clothing and furniture, I was like a kid again! We had to have spent nearly an hour in there looking through everything! Such a fun experience! I am a sucker for accessories, so the next time I hit up Boulder City, I'll have to buy a few more cool earrings and necklaces! My friend did find the coolest little thing ever! It was a little Tea dropper in the shape of a little house. You put the looseleaf tea inside the little house and submerge it into your tea cup, and so you get fabulous tea!! Went here yesterday after finding that Antique Depot, my jam, was closed for the day. Dang it! When I go to an antique store, I'm on the lookout for two things, and two things only - 1: furs 2: old kitchen utensils. This place had both, and a fur cape that I was considering getting but decided against it. Why? Basically, I wanted to sleep on it, and I don't want to support a business that jacks up its prices. I saw an 1890's Enterprise Manufacturing cherry pitter that I wanted but they were charging $56 bucks for it! WTF?! An equally sized, same cast iron, with a table vice grip mount meat grinder goes for $10 at other antique stores (which I bought back in CA.) There's not a chance in hell it's worth that when they're selling for $5-$20 elsewhere. This place is huge but I can't support a place that tries to sell an old wall mounted coffee grinder for more than $250. They have some cool stuff but they're pricing their items for way more than they're worth. read more

This store doesn't really have good deals. I feel that vendors definitely price on the higher side so I don't really spend too much there compared to other places in Boulder City. Also... it's annoying that Fox News is always on upon walking on. That didn't deter me from entering but I thought about skipping the place on more than one occasion. I must say, out of all the thrift stores in Boulder City I used to think this was one of the better hidden gems, but not from my most recent visit. It seems like the pricing in this store went way up. And there's a lot more "newer" or "reclaimed" stuff in here then before. When I go thrift store/ antique shopping I'm looking for that old one of a kind vintage find, not this new crap you can find in your local boutique.
