Three Stars, just for the merchandise available at this Boulder City antique mall alone. Outstanding selection of collectibles, almost all with (even for antique malls) ridiculously high prices. If high prices don't scare you, this place is well worth checking out because, man, do they have some pretty great stuff. I love Pyrex. Vintage Pyrex, that is. Originally Pyrex was made with Borosilicate glass, the same stuff they make test tubes out of. Vintage Pyrex can go from freezer to oven. Modern Pyrex isn't made with borosilicate and doesn't have the same heat stability. Well, Goat Feathers has the good stuff. I really wanted a replacement for an 8"x8" Pyrex baking dish I broke a couple months ago. I remembered they had them the first time I visited in 2022. But what I didn't anticipate was the price increase. The dish I wanted, that was $18 in 2022, was $25 today. I thought about it for a quick minute and then said nah, that's just too much. I spotted a vintage Pyrex oblong baking dish for only $12 and decided to get it instead of the 8"x8". I was astounded it was only $12, as it had a feature I had never seen on a Pyrex dish before: a thin ridge on the bottom that lifts the dish off whatever you set it on. The Pyrex baking dish was my only purchase. But I spent another hour just enjoying the collectibles on display. They have tons of stuff I used to collect. I spotted a yellow Lipton Tea Kettle exactly like one I have at home. I actually have 4 or 5 of those beautiful tea kettles in various colors. They wanted $25 for the one I saw today. I was tempted, but I had to remind myself I'm not collecting anymore. I had to remind myself of that fact repeatedly as I walked through the store. Especially at every vendor that was selling Salt and Pepper shakers. NGL, it was a struggle. Reading other reviews of this place I noticed that several people commented on how unpleasant the sellers are at Goat Feathers. I wish I had something the contrary to say, but that was my initial impression of the place too. This visit was better than my first, but I attribute that to not interacting with the sellers until I was ready to check out. Despite the (sometimes) surly sellers and the hilariously high prices, I still recommend this place. There's a lot of cool stuff up in this mug. Mikey C says: did I mention the high prices? I did? OK then.

What An Absolute Lovely Antique Shop!! I Really Enjoyed Going Through The Different Rooms & Finding New Treasures. I Would Definitely Love To Revisit.

Wizard of Oz find. Cute display

My favorite shop in Boulder City. It is a large two story shop full of fun finds. On my last visit they had Christmas items on sale and I was able to pick up a few great things. I really like how organized the store is. The aisles are clear and more spacious than most thrift stores and everything is displayed nicely and easy to find.

Super cute vintage store. Things are priced well and it's filled with charming antique and lovely handcrafted items

We returned to GFE to check out treasures from the past and possibly see if I could add to my collection of vintage and retro toys or food collectibles...no luck this time but I did see a few cool things like an Edison Phonograph, Vintage Humidifier and Cigar Cutter, and a seriously overpriced Vintage Ice Cream Scoop from Japan priced at a whopping $93 dollars!?!? Lucky for me, I already own the same one which only cost me $8 on Ebay...:P Stop in if you're ever in Boulder City and wanna take a trip down memory lane, you just might find something you like!....ALOHA!!! Gorgeous necklace and earring set. $18

By far my favorite antique store in Boulder City- and probably the largest, too. Lots of variety, carefully curated into distinct sections and styles. Plenty of stuff to search through, but their jewelry is awesome! Vintage earring selection is on point, necklaces and earring sets are not even necessarily antique but retro-style and great prices: $10 for a pair of earrings that can totally make an outfit; $13-18 for a necklace-earring set that will elevate a simple black dress to A-List status. Lots of various collectibles here, but my favorite section is their Scrabble area: tiles divided into consonants and vowels, along with game boards and the trays, to customize into crafts however your heart desires! Anyone who loves Scrabble as much as I do automatically gets mad respect. Staff is busy but friendly, love that they don't follow people through the store or endlessly try to make pointless chitchat- sometimes I just want to browse without being bothered!

Lots to see in this antique store. We weren't looking for anything specific so we're just browsing. I bet this would be an antique hunters bonanza.

Love they way they light up!

Everyone knows that the Japanese individuals love their gaming platforms and cultures . We can thank the creators and brilliant minds for small businesses that give America a small piece of their world. Thus we have a little bit of Henderson right here from Japan . This store is a must come in for. It's nestled in a small alcove where you wander in . The store front does not do the store justice. Let's go in . Most of the store is just browsing along the aisles . They offer so much variety . One thing that captured my attention was the selection of small scale models making kits for sale. Come to find out, Japan produces 80 percent of the world's small scale plastic model sets. It is centered around the city of Shizuoka. The "idea" of model design and making is a cherished art form in this particular city . Many small scale sets and designs are available for an individual to purchase and enjoy. The art and concept of origami design paper can be found here too. Are you ready to be creative and make something out of this imaginative state? Let's slip into another dimension and reality to explore life in the most beautiful ways. Origami is used to many different ways. One can use it as a tool to meditate, religious practice, ceremony; the range is not limited or restricted. Some of the folded papers represent many aspects of what they are folded to be. For example the lotus flower symbolizes spirituality and purity. Come find out more! The world has changed so dramatically let's discover something new to make it all rainbows and roses. They offer many choices for food and drink from Japan that you could choose from too . Go check it out. .

From there, I spied 66 Trains in a small building sharing the parking lot with Carl's. Score! While my wife went to Carl's, I went in to the train store. Inside I met the proprietor Ben who is super friendly, knowledgeable, and generous. It's a small store, but it's got enough to get a person started or progressing along in the hobby. If you're thinking of taking your hobby to the next level (like converting from DC to DCC), Ben appears to be willing and able to discuss the merits of such a decision, the nuts and bolts of doing so, and I'm sure would be able to special order whatever you might need to grow your involvement in the hobby. I took Ben's recommendation on a pack of HO-scale couplers, picked out a used HO-scale coal tender from among a box of used rolling stock (all priced very fairly), one of each of some impulsive-buy honey sticks on the counter and a Tootsie pop for my sweet tooth. Ben only charged me for the couplers and tender and gifted me the sweets even though they were marked with a price per stick. This unplanned stop made my day! Good to meet you, Ben! Good luck on the success of your train shop! Catch you next time I pass through Kingman!
