It was a good location though; in between the office and the room that the housekeeper lives in, so it was nice and quiet. This was a great place for our stay- right in the middle of the Keweenaw peninsula, and at a great price point. It was nice to have a kitchen! I couldn't figure out how to use the oven (or maybe it wasn't working? not sure) but I didn't contact management to ask how to use it because we just used the microwave instead. The bathroom is VERY small, and it was pretty tight to shower in there, but the bed was comfortable and the place seemed very clean. We got a designated parking spot, which was nice. Overall we would stay here again.

The kitchen is huge and has everything you need to cook and make coffee. The second floor consisted of the two en-suite bedrooms, a washer/dryer, and futon couch. There was also a shuffleboard and foosball table, although we didn't use any of these. My husband and I had our own bedroom on the second floor; I really loved the view of the Keweenaw Waterway and the town of Houghton just across from us. It was incredibly beautiful! Also, the price for two nights was NOT bad at all. When we stayed it was basically under $200 per night. A lot of other comparable places would easily charge an upwards of $500 per night! I feel a little sad that we didn't stay longer because I could have easily stayed here for at least a week, but alas, life gets in the way and I have to get back into the real world. But if I'm ever around Houghton, MI, I would totally come back here again!

They rent cabins which look very nice. Renting online was a breeze! We arrived 30 mins early like they requested and it took maybe 15 minutes to sign the documents and look over the unit. The staff was very friendly which is always helpful. Their units are brand new and have navigation which we found very helpful. The side by side was very clean when we picked it up. There is trail access right on their property which is very convenient. We'd love to go back and rent from them again and stay in a cabin as well. If you're anywhere in the area, I recommend renting a side by side from here or even renting a cabin.

Today I went to rent a UTV (side by side) from this business and it was not until I got there and…read morewas filling out paperwork that they sprung their $1500 "insurance policy" deposit on me. They wanted to charge a card $1500 before I could rent a UTV. I rented one from Copper Country Rentals at The Trailside Lodge the day before and they had no such fee. I rented one from M&M Powersports the same morning and they had no such charge. Any business that would be any less than completely up front about a charge of that size is questionable at best in my opinion. Take your money elsewhere!!!
