Some prices seem reasonable and on sale, other prices inline with top brands. They also sell a bunch of tee-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies with Houghton , UP, Yooper, etc. on them. Some really cute clothes but not many in larger sizes. Maybe because it is end of the season? Either way, I would definitely check out this store when Houghton!

But what they have is a building owner who it is well documented wants to get out from it and put nothing into it before then. Previous examples are the many times the owner did not pay the power bill and the entire building and it's stores were left in the dark. (again well documented) current example , snow removal cost money who needs that....the roof collapsed today. On one hand probably the beginning of the end for the old building , on the other that will likely mean new ownership. I hope it comes back with the "all indoor" mall as opposed to "strip mall" style but regardless it should be better. But the day's of a day trip to Marquette including Bavarian Inn breakfast , Westwood Mall & American of Marquette for some shopping & dinner at the Villa Capri with a pop in at Taurus Comics & The Copper Country Coin Shop before a possible night at The Queen City is a memory lost to even many in Marquette. The rest are lost for good , let's hope this rises like a phoenix instead. Because right now "come see the collapsed roof" is about the best draw they have had in 5 years or more.

It is small and dingy. It definitely does not get you in high spirits or jazzed up to buy anything like most other malls. The odd combination of stores are like none I have ever seen together in a mall of such size before. Granted, I am from a suburb of Chicago and the malls in that area should not be a "standard" to compare other malls against, but Westwood Mall is sad even for Marquette. So you have to call the 877 # to find out what happened takes about 5-10 mins to get them on the line we are told the item was cancelled due to none in stock, we were transferred to the store and told it was again out of stock? So they have no way to order from another store nor from warehouse. So the rule is it takes the store till the following business day fro their system to return the money and then it's takes another 3-5 business days for their bank to refund to your bank then your bank takes another 2-3 days for the money to show in your bank account for the refund, but here's the kicker then they email saying they are gonna ship your item after all this and recharge your card? This is nuts! This is the system for I know the store does there best to fix the issue but doesn't help when your money is held up for over a week!

Goodwill stores a big part of everyday life in the economically depressed UP. Here in the UP, a lot…read moreof kids can't afford the new stuff, so a strong resale shop like this is pivotal for back to school shopping. It's not inferior merchandise in many cases either. Like Eric P says, this is indeed a good one. Set back from the main road not far from Wal-Mart and other smaller mall stores and restaurants, it may be a little hard to spot with the hilly terrain of Houghton. Inside, it's not a cluttered resale shop but more like a department store in its arrangement. We've found clothes for our kids that are perfectly clean and wearable. There's also lots of shirts and sweaters and plenty of sports logo wear, assuming you're into the Green bay Packers and Michigan-based institutions. I like the fancy pattern sweaters with wild colors and a Goodwill is the place to find them for cheap. Someone else's closet-fodder can be my winter wardrobe. The toy section is a bit run-down, more like a poor yard sale, but it kept our kids occupied while we shopped the store without them nagging and misbehaving. Seems we always leave this place with something good on our vacations up north.

The insurance person in the pharmacy works miracles, and everyone is accurate. The app helps find things, since staff are mostly all busy taking orders out to cars, and it's hard to get help inside. The outdoor pickup can sometimes take 45 minutes of waiting after they text that it's ready, so I've given up on that.
