I found her on Yelp, and she came with raving reviews. I went to her website first and fell in love with her work. I called her, we chatted about what I was wanting, and she quickly said let's meet over coffee, so we can discuss more and make sure we both want to work with each other. Perfect. During our meeting, it was all about me. We went through sample photos. We talked more about outfits, and what I had envisioned doing. Went over pricing (she emailed previous to our meeting). She discussed setting up a private Pinterest account, so I could show her ideas of what I wanted. I never felt rushed. I knew she was the photographer I wanted to work with. So, I picked a date. With that, came my first assignment: pick several outfits, and then we meet again to look over them, discuss, and she would provide suggestions. This way, there is no scrambling on the day of the shoot. We met again at the studio, so I could check it out and go over the outfits. She made excellent suggestions and even made suggestions on where to purchase the items in expensively. On to assignment #2. The day of the shoot: I arrived at the studio, the hair/makeup artist started working her magic, there was music playing in the background, and Kara sat and visited. We had a blast getting ready. After hair and makeup were done, the artist left, and the shoot began. Just me, Kara, and the camera. Kara made me feel so comfortable and so beautiful. She made great suggestions for poses, props, and smiles (or not). The time flew by! During the several weeks prior to the shoot, I would text Kara with questions, send her pictures for suggestions/thoughts, and she was always quick to respond. She truly worked for me the whole time. Not just the day of. The unveiling of the photos: my boyfriend and I met her at the studio for the unveiling. We sat with Kara and went through all the photos and had narrow it down. That was the hardest thing to do! We wanted them all!! I would highly recommend Kara! She is professional, meticulous about her work, and she is there to work for you. I hired Sean Carr to shoot my wedding and I could not have made a better choice! We hired Sean for 8 hours with a second photographer, Alfred, on our wedding day. We're from Florida so we chose to hired Sean because he was a local photographer with experience shooting at Latourell Falls, our wedding site, and he had great prices and reviews. Sean met with us ahead of time to discuss our wedding plans and desires. He stayed in close contact with us and was always responsive. The day of our wedding Sean and Alfred not only shot our wedding, but they helped us set up the food for the reception and even helped us set up the firepit to celebrate around after our reception. We had firewood, but it got wet, thankfully Sean had firewood in his car which he gladly switched for our wet wood and he and Alfred even helped start the fire! We told Sean and Alfred, "Photographers are family!" and that's exactly how it felt.
