After looking at scores of photographer's websites and talking with/interviewing several…read morephotographers, we chose Kate Maxwell to photograph our wedding last month.... and we're so glad we did! Kate has a great eye and takes SUCH beautiful photos. I love both her detail shots she and her "bigger picture" shots. She also captured some really fantastic candid moments (both between my new husband and I, and among our guests during the reception) and her posed shots turned out really well, too. We're not super into posed photos, but you've gotta do a few at weddings, and hers turned out great... plus she even kept everyone laughing during the posed family photos (and not in a cheesy way at all). We also just loved Kate's demeanor and how wonderful she was to work with. We could tell from the first meeting that she had a great balance between being calm and able to roll with the punches, but also fun and bubbly and positive (which definitely helps when you're stressed out of your mind from all the wedding details). Our wedding day timeline got totally blown (by factors unrelated to Kate), and she was so incredibly patient and go-with-the-flow. Honestly, she was one of the people who helped keep me sane on my wedding day -- and I'm definitely not a natural at the whole bride gig, so that's saying a lot.
