We decided we were still hungry enough to at least split something and are we glad we did!! Friendly people who work there, spacious yet down home feeling inside and outside seating (we opted for the patio as it was named after) that had a wood fire going and heat lamps so it was truly cozy! I am a Best Western's rewards member and the staff recognized it immediately. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful. The room was clean comfortable, and spacious and had a continental breakfast in the morning it has the usual good stuff of a best western where you make your own waffles and have sausage scrambled egg and fruit things like that I have to say I was very pleased that the attention the staff made to making sure breakfast food was hot plentiful and available. They also suggested a couple of nearby restaurants for both breakfast and supper. I always tip the breakfast person and housekeeping too. It's an old school way of thinking and I hope you will consider adopting it. The room's all the space I needed and a Mini refrigerator, microwave but no coffee maker. What they have now in the breakfast area is a coffee maker that makes espresso... i did a double shot and added some hot water for dark roast americana. Everything was working just fine and very clean. As I said, I was impressed with the staff and their willingness to try to help me in any way that I could. I have stayed here for up to three days while traveling. This most recent was overnight It's a old mining town with lots of cultural assets so I so its worth exploring, If they ever upgrade things i would recommend adding some grab bars even if they didn't one bathroom at a time.\nBecause even average seniors would benefit from grab bars. There is a bookstore immediately next door owned by a lovely gentleman from Scotland who is very knowledgeable about the building and the city. The breakfast had enough selection for us picky eaters and passed our coffee snob test, and you can't beat the location. While our paths never crossed with the staff for long enough to have a substantial conversation, everyone we met while in Silver was truly wonderful. The parking is street parking but we never had any trouble finding a spot immediately in front of the hotel or at worst beside it on a side street. I did wake up once on our second night to some noise on the street, but that was my only issue the entire time.

No one was at the front desk when we checked out, so I was unable to address with him, but they did not respond to any of my communication communications about the property. $170 for one night and there were far better options for the money.

My partner and I arrived on Thurs, 5/21 to a room that was the worst I've ever experienced. There was dust on all surfaces, two dead roaches, dirt and grime on all tile floors, crumbs and dirt on the carpet, and pubic hair, urine, and grime all over the bathroom. I immediately asked for a new room, but could not be accomodated and was told that they could not clean it until the next day. I searched other hotels, but could not find availability due to the busy weekend. The next day, the room was 'cleaned', but nothing was cleaned in the bathroom and the dead bugs remained. I called the desk and another housekeeper was sent up to re-clean the room. After both attempts, the room still felt dirty and I was completely uncomfortable for the entire stay. I asked several times to speak to a manager, but one was never on duty and I have still not received a call back from one. The other three rooms I booked for family were also dirty and dingy, but none as bad as my own. I am completely disgusted by this experience and plan on posting this review on all sites until I am provided a call from management and a proper solution to the experience.
