He and his crew did sheetrock, bamboo floors, baseboards, painting/texturing, tile, bathtub replacement, appliance retrieval and installation, some fencing and a garage floor. They are prompt, professional and are not scattered out over several projects at once. His employees have been with him for 5-20 years, wear a company uniform, and are dedicated and respectful. Unlike other contractors, Saul is present at the job site performing some of the work. He presented me with no surprises with the billing. He was pleasant to work with, takes pride in a job well done, and has none of the arrogance I've encountered with other contractors. There was nothing wrong with our bathroom before, it was just outdated. They did a decent job, but now we're noticing mold growing all over the cabinets. We've never had a mold problem before. Mold is growing under the sink, in the drawers, it's especially growing on the pieces of wood where it's been cut and the edges are rough. We told Mark about it, he came out and said maybe the cabinets are sealing too well so he put cushions on the cabinet doors and drawers. He also re caulked the sinks, and put on wall penetration covers. He took moisture readings behind the vanity and said it was saturated with water and proceeded to cut a huge hole in our hallway. Upon inspecting all the pipes, there was no sign of any leaks. We didn't do anything different in the bathroom, but there I was having to scrub mold off my new bathroom cabinets. The only thing that has changed in the last 7 years of having this house is the new bathroom cabinets that we had Gulf Coast Builders build and install, and now there is mold. Now Mark wants $350 for repairing the hole he cut in my wall. We didn't ask him to cut the hole in the wall, and he didn't tell us beforehand that he was going to charge us $350 to repair. Now he's not responding to us since we told him we shouldn't have to pay for the wall damage he created. We've called and texted him and no reply. Attached are all my moldy pictures and the big hole in my wall. I wouldn't recommend this company.

He passed on his subcontractors' pricing without ever questioning it. He brought down his quotes several thousand dollars after I called different things into question. He did nothing to educate me on things that needed to be done such as sealing the marble tiles on the shower floor. I spent $25k on a bathroom renovation and the shower floor looks like crap after just a few weeks. Spare yourself and hire a different contractor! Who knows what it'll cost me now to fix it, but it won't be with Rudy.

In any business, I expect complete transparency and they have fallen short on that. If my husband didn't pay attention to details, we wouldn't have known they had given us materials different from what we had actually ordered. If we didn't call them out on it, they probably would've never told us about it either. Another thing is, when they sent us a quote, it included removal of the carpets. When I told them that we had already removed the carpets and staples, they still did not adjust the price. They came back and just said that the original quote was already "discounted". They never mentioned which one was discounted from the previous quote. We asked them about it and nothing specific was being said about which item was actually "discounted". Again, a flaw in the communication chain. On the day of installation, even though the installers did a good job, it would've helped a lot of one of them can actually speak and understand English. They had the radio blaring. I had asked them to turn it down but I don't think they even understood what I'm saying. My husband works from home and is having conference calls all day and I'm homeschooling my kids while I'm working on my desk. And these guys doesn't seem to mind talking loudly to each other and crank up their radio. To the owner, please look into this as not all the residents you service are Spanish-speaking. I didn't want to ruffle feathers and didn't want them to take it out on me and do a poor job if I call them out, so I sent my kids outside. It's a hassle, to say the least. As much as I hate giving this kind of review and rating, I'm also obligated to speak out the truth as it is. And I hope positive changes will come out of this review.

I had a gorgeous custom stained cedar fence installed. Image #1 Neighbor to my left (Jim) had his rotted back garage wall rebuilt, the door header, jam and all garage siding replaced. Three new exterior doors installed, all new hardware. All the house siding panels replaced, rotted porch ceilings repaired, window calking replaced and the entire house and garage power washed and repainted. Image #2 & 3 Neighbor to my right (Micheal) had a built-in carport built, wired for security lights and painted. Three others had misc fence and exterior repairs. A&M has also been doing work for some of our relatives. Alec is a preferred contractor on my street (Braesview Lane in Breasvalley) and his wife provides thorough, easy to understand invoices. I am simply making this recommendation out of appreciation for the wonderful job they have done for my neighbors and I. We are so pleased to have found this family company to work on our homes.
