Whenever I go to this credit union for anything other than a routine deposit, I always ask for Angelique. She understands procedures and if she doesn't, she won't hesitate to call the appropriate people to find answers. If I require different, more complex services I ask for Kimberly, who is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Both of these women work very hard to provide top quality service to their customers, and I always appreciate this. The only thing that prevents me from giving Copper State 5 stars is the customer service I try to reach by phone. Sometimes they have put me on hold for 20 minutes before I hang up and end up driving to the actual site. The customer service reps I do manage to reach by phone invariably end up giving me different information. As soon as Copper State trains their phone representatives better, I will change my review to 5 stars. IN RESPONSE TO ANTHONY'S COMMENT: This is a stock email that he always writes. I've seen his comments in response to other reviewers, but he has ***never addressed the problems raised*** by those reviewers and he has even responded inappropriately, given several reviewers' comments. I have consistently complained over a period of several years about the inconsistent answers given by poorly trained phone personnel, and nothing has ever been done about it. read more

I wish I never would have banked here. credit unions are supposed to be different than banks but honestly iʻve never been treated as badly as when i call copper state. If I were the manager- Iʻd review Charlies calls-he is condesending, rude and the absolute reason I hate having my loans here and he always blind transfers to voicemails knowing you have to call back and go through the system again. The minute I pay them off or refinance I am done. No one responds online though the message portal either. itʻs a joke read more

Based upon my experiences, Deer Valley CU is fortunate to have such a competent team of folks at their Surprise branch. I began using this branch as a place to transact business for an out-of-state Credit Union and the staff was always helpful. Even though I was not a member of their Credit Union. Since that time I have opened an account and this has become my banking location. My decision to open an account was infuenced by the assistance and professionalism given by the staff at the Surprise branch. Deydra, who first signed me up for an account, never fails to give a warm greeting when she sees me or my wife at the bank. Rhiann is always ready to assist and engage in brief conversation while quickly and accurately conducting business. Then there is Yvonne whom I can depend on for knowledgeable advice and solutions whenever I have a difficult situation to work through. This FCU is top notch in my book. I personally do shared branching service from all around the United States from Alaska to AZ. I've must of joined over a dozen different Federal Credit unions and banks over the last decade. Over 15 years I have been utilizing shared branching around the U.S. and I can honestly say that this particular branch on Bell st is a perfect example of how professional a business should be run. I've been with Deer Valley FCU for over 2 years now and how well this branch runs, is why I'll never leave. Great Customer Serive from Cali at the Surprise Branch and David the Commercial Loan Officer. Definitely do business again!

Came in to do a shared branching transaction and since I didn't have my account number I went to use the atm because desert schools up the street was malfunctioning. Apparently they did a remodel and completely moved the atm to another side of the building. Then I attempted to use the front doors which were locked. No signs explaining it or to use other doors. So confused so I walked around the building and found a newly renovated door with the new location of the atm. I walked inside because I needed to make sure it held deposits for the shared branching and was greeted quickly. I explained my situation and was told it did. I realized at that point with the renovation the previous front doors must now be an employee entrance. They should really label those doors to avoid confusion. Also for updating everything I was bummed to see that you still needed envelopes to deposit items and because it couldn't see my cash and it was shared branching it held my funds for a few days. Service was good especially with me not being a member. I'm giving the three stars for the way the doors aren't labeled and the old atm. read more

I received a telephone call from Copperstate Credit Union the day after filing my complaint regarding two checks that weren't ours being run through our account. I received an apology, the money was refunded and I received assurance the matter was being investigated and would not happen again. Copperstate also contacted the other bank processing the checks.
