I purchased a Groupon and they would not honor it, because I am not a new customers. No where on the Groupon does it mention this. "May be repurchased every 90 days. Limit 1 per person(s), may buy I additional as gifts)." The front desk lady states "it can be repurchased after 90 days for a gift." which doesn't make any sense. Other Groupon says "New Customer Only." I feel like they do this so you come in expecting using the Groupon but they tell you no, so you pay full price since you are already there. I've been coming here for years. Today I went in and they had changed all the beds for stand up beds. I have never been in such a boiling hot uncomfortable bed in my life. I had to get out after 5 minutes I was so light headed and hot.. It must have been at least 120F in there. I'm never going back. read more

I've been coming to this location for close to 2 years, ever since the tanning salon closest to me closed down. When it was copper tan, I felt it was a decent place, aside from the lotions being outrageously expensive. But they did have great deals on purchasing tans and I bought quite a few whenever they had a special. Super happy I never bought a membership because I've heard terrible things but all in all, I was happy with it. Recently however, copper tan was taken over by zoom tan. And all I have to say is I am absolutely dumbfounded on how a company could be so awful! The first horrible change is that they changed their times so now they don't open until 10am. Every other tanner that I've ever been to has always opened nice and early to obviously allow for people to come in before work. I think copper tan used to open at 8 or 8:30 AM but now that they're zoom tan, the don't open till 10! Crazy! After I finally got in there after waiting in my truck for 30 minutes for them to open, I wanted to simply buy a couple of pair of the eye protection stickers. Since they're only $.50 apiece, I asked for two of them and started to hand the woman behind the counter a dollar bill. She said they no longer accepted cash. So I told her to give me 10 pairs then so I wouldn't be using my credit card for just a dollar. Then I went into the room and noted that the nice big luxurious stand up tanning beds had been replaced with a smaller rectangle shaped black box. Let me just say that although it has a nice strong fan going over top, after about four minutes, you start to feel like you're cooking in an oven! The old beds had a time max of 9 minutes I believe and these new beds have a max of 12 minutes. I'm not sure who could ever last 12 minutes because your skin is literally burning by the seventh minute. Luckily they're strong enough and I've been able to get away with getting a great tan by going for only 10 minutes. I wouldn't be able to stand longer than that. Another thing I had noted was that they had stopped putting the towels in the rooms, but I just figured since I was getting there as soon as they opened that perhaps they hadn't gotten to it yet. At least I could ask the person behind the counter for a towel, and she would gladly hand one to me. Today I went after not going for a little over a month, and as I've always done before, I asked if there was a towel in the room. She literally reached down and grabbed a white paper towel and handed it to me. I was in complete shock but just walked away to the room to get my tan. Now I have never come on here to write a bad review about all of the previous things that I felt had gone seriously downhill. But the paper towel replacing an actual towel is literally the last draw. I will say that the one and only good thing about zoom tan is that they were at least willing to honor all of the tans I had previously purchased with copper tan. But that's it. I so wish that I could find other places closer to me, but as soon as my previously purchased tans run out with this establishment, I will most definitely take my business elsewhere. I don't care if I have to drive 20 minutes, this place is an absolute joke!! I felt it necessary to write this review in hopes that zoom tan might actually read it and decide to actually do something about all of these insane changes. First, being that they change the times to open as early as they did before. Second would be to accept cash! And last but definitely not least, the TOWELS! I am a Floridian and I am white AF so I decided to do something about it and took advantage of one of the specials they had going on. Very surprised at how fast I went from white to off white (but seriously results are fast). The people are friendly and I've never had to wait. After 2 weeks they know me and what I want. I pay as I go I'm not a fan of having memberships on my credit card but they always run specials so if you're feeling a tan without breaking the bank check them out! read more

Not honoring a $300 dollar package of spary tans I bought when it was coppertan to begin Jan 2024, I have spent many days and hours in emails only to be mostly ignored or wait several weeks for a response. Most recently when I bring up the fact that I have sent them my bank statments proving the purchase as well as the employee who can vouch for such purchase they have completely ignored my request to be made whole. They just keep saying "welp we can't locate it in the system" even though I have 3 seperate emails of them contradicting themselves on what is in my account. Not one person from customer service or so called "coperate" has been able critically think and or come up with a solution for this matter they just go to that trusty line even with being provided substantial evidence that my account is not accurate. Best part is they Don't care I mean come on look at all their BBB ratings at EVERY LOCATION they are not like that because they are a ethical company. read more

I have been a loyal customer at this salon for over 5 years when the pandemic broke last March of 2020 I notified the facility via email that I would not be going back to the facility until the Covid-19 was cleared. The last time I entered the facility was February 2020 I have been sent to collection in the amount of $171.49 which is insane being that the pandemic caused everyone to stay home. This was a federal and state mandate. The mere point that they are trying to capitalize on the pandemic is egregious, to say the least. COOPER TAN SALON should reconsider. I would avoid this place, the bulbs must be EXTREMELY old and never get changed in my opinion.. Ive been going tanning at different salons for over 20 years, and this is the ONLY place I do NOT get any color.. This is after MULTIPLE tans in the "platinum" and "celebrity" stand up machines..I primarily joined because I wanted to tan my lower body, legs, etc..After MULTIPLE visits I am still lily white in the areas that I wanted to get tan, which is absurd..And I mean I got ZERO color whatsoever.. Never in 20 years have I had this happen, and the only explanation is that place is a scam -in that they do NOT change their bulbs, probably ever..Thats the only explanation for how a machine would give you no color.. The bulbs still get "hot" which is deceiving, because heat is not what gives you color..Its the UV rays from the bulbs (which you dont feel) that stimulate tanning..When the bulbs get old and are over used? They wear out and stop emitting the same UV rays at the intensity needed to give you a tan. So basically this place takes your money on false pretenses (the pretense being "You will get tan in our machines"), and then ensures that you cannot actually get a tan by not changing the bulbs in the machine.. This is done to maximize profits (as bulbs are very expensive) at the expense of ripping off their members who expect the machines to work.. After reading the other reviews Im just charging this charge off my credit card, and blocking them from ever charging me again. Its not worth arguing with dirtbags like this, because you wont win. With the credit card company I will win. As an avid, experienced tanner I warn you to avoid this place like the plague. This is one of the best Copper TAn locations due to the fact that the employees at work at this one are very knowledgeable towards the products and services and they are very kind especially the blind with long blonde hair that works there she's always been super sweet and always knows what products to use for what you're wanting to accomplish. I got the absolute wrong instructions from the attendant, & ended uo with orange hands and feet as well as an allergic reaction to the spray tan. Do they care? Nope. I didn't recall the pin # I used when I signed up years ago and was told today that I couldn't do a one time tan without remembering my pin. Are you freaking kidding me?? I worked at the WPB location for 7 long, grueling months. I was verbally abused by corporate and my managers day after day. Corporate is absolutely disgusting -- they don't care about the employees much less the customers. This is not a cute family owned business. This is a nasty, money-hungry, crooked facility. Now, I had another friend go through the exact same thing at this location. She went in to sign the papers, was told that the account would be closed out and she was "up-to-date." Three months later she gets this call from a different location saying that she owes 80 something dollars in backed up fees... this sounded all too familiar, so I warned her, but she had the same outcome... This place doesn't even deserve one star. I went for the first time and was put in a room to spray tan. All I heard from the door was you are all set in Room 24. I have no idea what that meant and when I yelled out what? they were gone. The start button wouldn't work. On a side note, the equipment looks old, I was in there long enough looking at it trying to figure out why it wouldn't start so I had alot of time to look at the spray tan equipment I called the front desk and was told...Honey I told you that you needed to move to room 24 and then was hung up on. This was enough for me not to use their service and asked for a manager. The manager wasn't there so I inquired why I was lied to and hung up on. Since there wasn't anyone in the store, I also asked why didn't you come to the room I was at and explain to me what you are telling me as I've never been here before, not yell thru the door and walk away. I used to spray tan frequently and then just sort of stopped. I live pretty convenient to this Coppertan. I never did a spray tan booth before, only airbrush. I saw a deal on their website for a $10 tan so decided to give them a try. Coppertan offers both spray tans and tanning beds. They sell packages as well as individual sessions. I was pretty surprised to see how inexpensive unlimited spray tans were. $58 a month sure beats paying over $30 and up for a spray tan. It was a pretty easy going experience. I was taken to the booth where the attendant also explained how to stand as I never got tanned by a machine before. They have foot covers that stick to your feet as well as barrier cream to keep your palms of your hands protected from absorbing too much color. When ready I stepped in the machine and pressed a button that started the whole process. When I was finished and getting dressed the machine went into a self cleaning mode which I thought was great. I did a level 2 which I guess is their version of a medium color. I had a really good experience so I let one of the staff tell me about packages and prices. I ended up signing up for the Copper Club which is a monthly unlimited deal. So far it's been about a week and the color is fading evenly. I will either go back tonight or in the next couple days to get a new spray. read more

Unfortunately this company does not follow the Americans with Disabilities act . I was diagnosed with a disability 3 months ago and was no longer able to use the company's services. I contacted the location that have a monthly contract with to inform them of my situation and to let them know I am unable to come in but need my membership cancelled. ( This form of cancellation is covered and backed by the ADA) . They proceeded to charge a disabled person 3 months inna row for services they could not receive. When Michelle was contacted via email numerous times she continued to deny a refund to my account . This denial was also followed up with numerous unanswered emails in regards to the ADA. They are stealing from disabled people during a pandemic which is just horribly sad. Thankfully the ADA has people who help rectify these situations if the company does not . read more

CopperTanUSA is the worst business I have ever encountered!! It is impossible to cancel your account!! I heard a different story from every employee I spoke to regarding my situation. I stupidly gave them my debit card without signing a contract on my first visit. When I went in to cancel because I was leaving the state they said I couldn't until I signed the proper paperwork. I have a specific case where I don't meet their "moved out of state" criteria for cancellation. I have called and sent numerous unanswered emails trying to explain and they have now blocked me. After tanning for many years and having to stop I decided to try again after speaking with one of the staff, Lisa, while out. I can't do UV light due to sun spots so I tried a sunless tan. Wow I loved it!! She was very thorough at explaining to me the differences that the levels due and what I want. She was so knowledgeable about the products and different things. She suggested a starter coat and then told me after I try the bronze to maybe try clear. My tan is great and the salon was clean and well kept. Sent two of my out of towners here for a spray tan.. they only turned orange where they put the barrier cream. Doesn't make any sense. When I first called to ask how the spray tan reacts with the ocean the girl put me on hold and asked another girl next to her my question.. she told me they both don't do spray tans so they don't know. First of all they should probably be more educated if they work their and secondly their spray machine just sucks. My friends followed all the recommendations/rules. The color just sucks, I was surprised how orange it was and it was streaky.. just horrible. I felt bad I sent my friends there and I shouldve known not to by my first phone call there. read more
