Gosh, I didn't know what I was missing. This is a true IYKYK! Once you have visited Horrocks, you will return for life. This is a magnificent, rustic, unique, expansive establishment that offers a cornucopia of items. From floral, to meats, cheeses, wine, speciality items, fruits, snacks, vegetables, hard-to-find items and more. There is so much more! Things that stood out even though I loved everything about this place: -the vast selection of canisters of olive oils -the vast array of different varieties of balsamic vinegars (amazing!) -house made items in every area -house made popcorn with so many flavors, so fresh. -the many, many homemade soups: probably around 20 different kinds and delicious. -a ramen bar, what? -bakery -pizzeria -exotic fruits and vegetables and regulars ones too -the wine bar: sip while you shop. -house-made sausages and cheeses -house-made jams, jellies, local honey -extensive variety of spices, herbs, flour and grains - great service, very helpful. This is a must try and truly a destination. I cannot wait to shop and browse here again!

I recommend you set aside two hours to explore. I'm serious. They have a bar that also includes non-alcoholic beverages and the shopping carts include a cup holder. Where to start though? Fruits, vegetables, soup bar, cheese galore, huge candy bar with Michigan fudge... Lots of frozen meats and vegetable packs, a chilled dairy room, fresh sausages. Oh, the COFFEE and the OIL section?! Yes, you can taste the different oil flavors. And you can and will find the coffee that suits any taste. I make a 1.5 hour drive to go here every now and then, and it's always worth it. Bring reusable bags to keep your frozen food cold. And don't step in the plant section unless you want to come home with some flowers or a pretty plant, it's too tempting! I'm not saying anymore. Their fresh meat case looked like a griller's dream -- beautiful steaks, ribs, chops, and chicken. Another perk: free samples of some very tasty beer can chicken. We came away with Reuben brats, raspberry chipotle bacon, and bloody Mary beef jerky. Everything was delicious! It's not cheap meat, but their prices were congruent with their quality and local sourcing without being prohibitive.

Today, I decided to take a stroll on down to OhMi and get a 20oz cold brew. Such a phenomenal day for weather out there people, the best of the year so far, I do say! As I enter the business, I'm greeted with a friendly hello and I begin looking around as there were some folks ahead of me. They have wonderful merchandise for sale as well as healthy kombucha drinks along with their chocolates and coffee of course. I would recommend all their chocolates. So packed with flavor and often fudge like, they're kept cold, and they have, I believe, 180 or so flavors! However, I was only looking for a cold brew today! "Well, what did you order already?! Tell us!" Okay, okay, I'll tell ya. I asked what they'd recommend as I'm down to try any and all flavors! The friendly lady said they have a special from St. Patrick's Day still available that has some sort of Irish Whiskey flavor. She went into greater detail about the drink, but it escapes my mind, sorry y'all. But anyways, I was already sold! Well, it turns out it was thirsty Thursday, so I got a dollar off my drink! Absolutely awesome, can't beat a 20oz for only $4 and at this quality too! I decided to get one chocolate because why not? I got the superior fudge which I devoured about 20 feet outside of the shop! They gave me a free two-pack of chocolate surprise cookies too! The good folks in there are always giving away free goodies, and I'm down for it! The cookies were super soft with a hint of what I feel is a molasses taste. Almost like the delicious homemade molasses cookies my mom used to make! The chocolate surprise is in the center, and it's a smooth light chocolate! I highly enjoyed them, thanks! The coffee was phenomenal and refreshing. The coffee here has never disappointed, and I love trying all the different varieties! These people are like mad scientists when it comes to the flavors, but they're doing nothing but good in the community and in their shop too! Love this place and always look forward to coming back!
