They spoke very highly of Tom (Durant, the owner) and his team. When we contacted Tom to provide a quote in early 2025, he was at our home within a few days so we could "walk" the job and get an understanding of what was needed to complete the project. Tom proved to be very thorough and broke down every aspect of the work and materials and equipment required. Whether you are technical in nature - or not at all - Tom is able to explain it in a manner anyone can understand. Over the next week or so, we communicated back and forth to hammer out some of the details, make some changes to the project and finalize the deal so they could begin breaking ground. At no time during our preliminary discussions did Tom try to upsell or oversell anything - he wanted to know exactly what we wanted for our fence and gate, and that is what he built. He was always very forthcoming and straightforward with us during the project, as well as being professional, patient and gracious. One of the strengths of Centerville Construction is the knowledge of the land and topography around this area, as there is a lot of rock right at the surface, and/or up to 4 or 5 feet under the surface. This requires some specialized equipment and construction methods, especially when coupled with the high winds and extreme temperatures in the summer and winter, to ensure a well-built, long-lasting fence. Their 3D drawings were nothing more than the Monopoly buildings with no details. Their creativity was extremely limited and it was a struggle to try to get them to listen to our needs. In the end we could not use any drawings they provided to us. They pushed us to pay for schematics before we even received a drawing we could use. When we pushed them back on this, it became clear that they wanted to farm this out to another contractor and had not intention of building it ever. We would not recommend them to others.
