I jumped through hoops to get immunizations shots, for my service dogs, and proof that they were service dogs, along with pics! I had to do all of these things before I could even look at this home!! I also had help, from WGAP, to pay rent ,for a year lease, and that was sent to Con, by email. You would think that with everything going on,with COVID, an owner would be happy to get guaranteed rent. Besides the fact, I am a good tenant! When Connie arrived she got out of the car ,with a nasty attitude, and refused to even speak to me, or say hello, until she got half way in the yard. I should of known better when I noticed, on the phone, that she had an attitude! I responded by saying, "You don't have to show me the place if you don't want to, I can look elsewhere." I was also shocked that her company was asking me for 500 dollars "each" for my service animals, and 20 dollars, per dog, for a pet fee each month. This is illegal!! Moving forward, She told me that she was taking application fees, from several people, and couldn't tell me what order I was in, or how far along others were in the application process. She also told me how people were stealing things on the property, behind the house, I was looking at. I actually began to think she was doing everything she could to convince me or dissuade me from considering this property. I then thought, "surely, I must be wrong". Why would she do that? I followed her back to her office to give her money, for a background check, and of course they all of a sudden didn't take cash and I had to get a 50 dollar money order. This was on a Thursday, on January 21. My credit was checked that day, at 11 am, and I realized that it didn't go through. I got a notice, from Experian, that I forgot to unblock my credit, and my credit couldn't be checked. I called her back and she said she would reach out to someone to see if I only had to pay for half, since they got the other two credit companies. It took her 27 hrs to get back to me, which was Friday, at 3:30, the next day. She told me the credit check would just be 25 more dollars. I was driving when she got back late and had to wait the whole weekend, until Monday, to get in touch with her. I would try to communicate with her many times in emails and my emails were IGNORED, prior to this day, and afterwards. On Monday, I called her again and she ran my credit on Monday,at 11, and crickets. Then Tuesday goes by and crickets. I called some of my references and they were told that they gave me great reviews on Tuesday and Wednesday comes around and crickets. Finally, I had enough of this. I emailed Connie at 4:30, Weds eve., and said I feel that this is not the right fit and it is causing me a lot of anxiety and that I felt uncomfortable because of the unprofessionalism from her and the people at her company. Her response was Sorry, you feel uncomfortable but, I told you we were screening several applicants. I would be happy to send your screening results. I asked for the results and if they were denied and didn't get ANYTHING from her.Crickets. This just angered me even more. Something is seriously wrong with people who act like this. I am really considering suing this company. How amazing that after endless emails and phone calls she was unavailable until I said I had enough of this garbage!!! By the way, I didn't get ANYTHING from this lady about my credit check. Nothing They totally SCREWED me over, they discriminated against me and they are UNETHICAL. I am going to speak to a lawyer and reach out to the ADA about their unlawful practice. If I have to, I will SUE them out of principal. I had zero response as to what my background said. STAY FAR AWAY from these people!!! They talk to you badly and look down on you like your trash if you have any help from the government. Apparently, It doesn't matter that I am a substitute teacher, at two different schools and the schools were shut down. I am considering suing them for discrimination and refusing to provide me with any information after taking my application money TWICE. By the way, I saw another review from an gentleman stating that Oak Street hotel and gorge rentals were the same and Oak Street hotel said they weren't and they are! This company is lying. The second time I had my credit run for gorge rentals it was processed through Oak Street hotel and is listed on my bank card as a transaction with them. I definitely never stayed at Oak Street hotel!

When we found a home we loved, before negotiations began, Maui did the most amazing thing. Because the seller already had offers on the table, he strategized that the best chance of reaching my goal - getting an accepted offer - would be to incentivize the seller's agent by coming in as an unrepresented buyer. In effect, he sacrificed his commission for me to have a better chance of getting this home. I did get the home and will forever be grateful to him for this generous gesture. This is not a cavalier suck up feel-good upgrade, they earned it. One example Against all odds they, Carmen the manager, her head repair guy, Ricard, (and the generic handyman dictated by the owner), and an expert HVAC business, persevered to manage the home I'm leasing with excellence and tact. They successfully managed, with minimal cost to the owner, a HVAC failure during a difficult time, in a wildfire smoke and covid nightmare. This as well as respectfully dealing with a distant home owner, who was experiencing more sever local wildfires themselves far away. If an owner is reading this, I recommend using Carmen's excellent connection with the experts to save money by doing the job right. Her tact and diplomacy and well earned respect in the community of repair professionals, present a case study of professionalism. The best thing about the wonderful, beautifully renovated home I'm renting is Carmen's professional management. She took the difficult route of thoroughly and tactfully exhausting all options requested by the owner, in a timely manner, until a speedy thorough repair was done. As a result we beat the next smoke drift by a day and have a comfortable home just as the fall temperature drop is a few days away. The wildfire smoke is in the MERV 13 air filter, not the walls and ceilings as it could have been thanks to her decisive skills. Her communication was terrible, unprofessional, and at one point, she complained she might have to sell her own house as she wasn't selling anything. She was rude when I was sick and lost my voice & told me "just answer the phone, I will talk." We couldn't wait for this 6 month contract to end. We do not recommend her.
