When I grimaced at their prices ($.75/color copy??), and mentioned wanting to shop around before placing my order, the copy "Queen" went ballistic, screaming at me about how "this isn't Hollywood." I have been in here several times over the last five years. The last two visits were not good and I will not be back. I am regretful I returned from last week's visit that did not go well to give them another try. I honestly feel hurt by their rudeness and unkindness when I went to them again for help with something and to intentionally do business with them versus going somewhere else; versus using an online service; versus printing at home. I'm sure when you read this CQ that you will call me some rude name and all I wanted to do was give you my business. As small as it was... that was my intention - to do business with you and not someone else. I have recommended Copy Queen to my past employer; to online local chat rooms - Ask Taos!; to Chamber of Commerce members. I regret doing that now. The color was not working one of the color copies I was having done and they explained on both visits: "It is a problem with your file". Okay, maybe. I mess up things. I went home to fix it. Yet, it prints fine in color at home and the other printer (9 to 5 Ship and Print) I went to afterward did not have any problems with it at all. One copy at CQ was visibly crooked and one woman told me very bluntly and sternly "What exactly do you want me to do about it?" I said after a shocked pause, "Reprint it?". Then the other gal said, "Our printers do that sometimes and there is nothing we can do about it and explained that it may not be straight". Okay... sounds like your printer is off. I was charged for the incorrect color prints both visits, the crooked print - definitely not my fault and was told: "I did not charge you for the handling fee". Wow. . . . I left and immediately went to the other printer up the road. She printed my files in color with NO color problems from the same files, printed both STRAIGHT, did not charge me for one print she made where the printer messed up. AMAZING. She went out of her way and laminated the files, clipped the edges so they wouldn't be sharp and took my debit card. I felt better and not bad like at Copy Queen. read more

A rude woman that runs the place is taking the "Queen" part a little too seriously. Copies suck, and if you even mention it, she throws a fit and literally will slam the door on you, no refund, no explanation with a $5 charge to fix it. Copies look like they are printed at grandmas house when she's low on ink. read more

Unskilled printer that doesn't care about quality. Printed my job wrong and refused to correct with out charging me again. Noticeably light printing because their toner was low. Avoid at all cost. read more

The ladies at the front were rude. I had a lot of questions, and the woman I spoke with made it clear that she was impatient with me. When another woman came in, I reiterated my question but the second woman also didn't understand me and just kept repeating the same answer as the first woman. Good service is still important--even in a town as small as Taos. If you really need something here, it'd probably be cheaper and less of a headache to order online. read more

Terrible experience. The customer service at this business is offensive. I've held off on writing this review so as not to contribute to the negativity- however, I believe that the community should know so that we can stop supporting businesses that we feel like we have to "deal with". By warning people about this place, we can stop settling for bad businesses and allow for better ones to take their place. No one was present when I arrived in the room. When a woman Nicole Romero did finally come out, she printed my items. From previous times I'd been there, she has offered to cut the papers. When I asked if she could cut them, in an aggressive tone she pointed across the room and said "you can do it yourself". When I walked across the room, to cut my own papers, as she directed she began assisting other customers. About 3 minutes later, she yelled across the room in a disgruntled tone, in front of 3 other customers, "Can you hurry up and pay so I can get back to my lunch?" (As if I'd known she was working on her lunch break).... Sorry, not my problem. Businesses and Employees tend to forget that the reason we use hard earned money to pay for services is to get the job done WELL. I didn't pay for the lip service. If you dislike your job- you should probably fix that. Don't let it spill over onto customers. read more

Have just returned from Copy Queen to have postcards made from some artwork. I was told that I would receive a copy of how it would print, in my email. The typesetting person at the front was very helpful and suggested ways to save me money on the run of cards. I feel satisfied with the help I got and also with the cost of what I want to get done. read more

Really bad customer service. I wanted to either redo or cancel an order for business cards because I was not happy with the outcome....they were on very inferior paper stock and looked cheap even though they were twice the price of most online printers. The owner threatened to take me to small claims court if I did not pay. I ended up getting a great card later for half the price through an online company. If that is the owner's idea of customer service and good business building... Hmmmm? read more

I have been using Copy Queen every year to print and spiral bind notebooks for an annual writing retreat I hold in Taos. They always get the job done professionally and promptly. I went in with my mother to have some of her old pictures developed and the lady who was helping us was the rudest person I have seen in a long time! She literally acted as though she was doing my mom a favor. When it came time to paying, the lady wouldn't take my card because it was under ten dollars. So we copied more photos which by the way pissed her off even more that she actually had to do her job. So we went back to pay and it came up to $7. Pissed off even more she grabbed my card and angrily swiped it. If you seriously hate your job that much go look for another one and don't disrespect someone who is contributing to your business. Too bad this is the only place in town that copies the way they do because they would definitely lose my business read more
