We weee visiting on a roadtrip from…read moreCalifornia when my husbands arm fell off - went to Ace for a kit but none of us could get the screw in correctly to tighten it - exasperated, we remembered that this place was across from our Motel - we ran across the street and asked if they would help us - the lovely employee said, "Of course!" And within 2 minutes she had the screw in and tightened as well as the screw on the other side, which was also about to fall out. I removed my credit card to pay and she said, "No no no" even after I had previously said we were visiting from CA (not able to be a returning client.) we were and remain so grateful. In those 2 minutes I also noticed that they had a great selection of glasses - I found quite a few pairs that I preferred to mine - but alas they are 800 miles away from our home. I needed a new presription because I couldn't read the menu at McDonald's and other fine fast food…read moredining establishments plus could not read the subtitles on foreign movies on my television. I got a new prescription and new glasses at Bandon Vision Center. So far so good but now I have to use the old pair of glasses when I used the computer as I am doing now. My distance vision and reading works with the new glasses but not the middle. I was told I could get trifocals but wish I had known this when I got the new glasses. Why wasn't I told that before not after the fact. In all fairness they offered to give me a new pair of glasses with trifocal vision but am not interested. I'll go back up to Coos Bay next time.
