I wonder if they have a maximum number of students allowed to sign up for a class? I think enforcing everyone to sign up online for a class, may help with this issue. My latest class has been the Saturday morning Barre classes and despite the difficulty of the class, I really feel the burn during class and the days following! I think the instructor here really do a great job at teaching and getting to know their students. A pet peeve of mine in exercise classes is when an instructor tells their students to go on their own and repeat sets of movements on their own. Having to pay for a class, I expect the instructor to guide me all the way through. I am glad all that through all the classes I have taken at Prana, I have not once encountered that pet peeve of mine! Check out Prana in Broadview Heights! Of course I feel stronger with more energy as well. Secondly, it seems like every time I start a committed fitness program I get injured. I am so competitive with myself, and in my youth I was so invincible. Of course as I age, and I still play tennis quite a bit, my joints do not bounce back as quickly. So when I first started with these guys my meniscus tear on my knee starting hurting a bit. They quickly changed my exercises and I was able to continue with no pain. I am now back into the grove. There are so many times I tell them I would not be there if I did not have the appointment, or I would have stopped 5 reps earlier if I was doing it on my own. What an amazing, grass roots type of studio, that truly goes against the large class size culture…read morethat dominates the Pilates scene in the rest of the NE Ohio area. The instructors at this studio are truly incredible - they challenge you but make sure you feel comfortable and able along the way. The equipment is great and having the Cadillac reformers for all class attendees is a huge plus and something you don't see at other studios! They haven't created an "unlimited package" option which some may dislike but I think it helps to make the classes more accessible for attending and I personally love it. They are able to keep their prices reasonable as well which is a rarity in the industry. The best thing about this studio compared to other studios I've attended is that they truly make your time in class "worthwhile" -- and they use the equipment. I never feel like I leave wishing I did more and there isn't much time spent doing things you could do at home on a mat which is truly the point of being in the class and having access to the reformer. I was told I had to submit to a membership application in order to get the free trial and then I would need to cancel within thirty days if I did not want to continue. Seemed simple enough until 8 days in I tried to cancel. I was there in person twice and told the manager was not there. I called. Left voice mails. Many. I called corporate twice; no return call ever from them. Then I did get the manager a few times. Maria put me on hold for a full ten minutes, before I hung up, called again and got the voicemail. That was the first hold. Second hold, a few days later, I got put on hold again by Maria. Left again, by Maria. Called back and got her. She tried to coax me into staying many times. It was VERY OBVIOUS she was trying to get me to the 30 day mark and I said, NO CANCEL THIS and she said she did, apologized and I thought that was it. Until Sunday, May 26th when I received an email from a collections company!! I cannot believe this is happening. This is 2026 and predatory subscription practices still going strong. I am currently working on a resolution. I have not yet heard from either the store nor corporate, which I am not surprised. Corporate never returned my calls back when I was in the midst of trying to get this cancelled. It was AWFUL and now, a new issue.
