Starting w/Kristina at the reception desk, most pleasant, to meeting w/ my Physical Therapist Dan. He treated me with the utmost respect and confidence with a genuine concern for my journey to healing. Along my journey I had the most positive support from other PT's as well. To mention them: Sally, Stephanie, Mike, Wendy, and Brandy. I had the pleasure to working with them all. Today September 16, I completed my Therapy. BITTER SWEET to say the least,but pleased that my knee feels great. This is my second TKR (rt. knee 4years ago). I am extremely pleased with the progress we have mad. After a total knee replacement in July 2024, I started my PT at the ATI location in Simpsonville SC inside Prisma Hillcrest Memorial Hospital. I knew I hurt, I knew that this would be a test of humility and patience for me, a imaging professional for 30 yrs, I am used to providing the care, I am not used to relying on others to care for me...I am stubborn and I pushed to get to my goal of returning to work and reaching my therapy goals What I didn't know is the team at ATI would become like family for me. On the days I had energy and was gung ho, they worked to push me.. On the days where I was frustrated with the pace or setbacks in my recovery, they comforted me and got me through the hard days, and I had many. To say I had 1 or 2 therapists working with me, think of the saying "it takes a village" well, it's true in my case. They were flexible with my work schedule and would fit me in with whoever had availability.
