After a total knee replacement in July 2024, I started my PT at the ATI location in Simpsonville SC inside Prisma Hillcrest Memorial Hospital. I knew I hurt, I knew that this would be a test of humility and patience for me, a imaging professional for 30 yrs, I am used to providing the care, I am not used to relying on others to care for me...I am stubborn and I pushed to get to my goal of returning to work and reaching my therapy goals What I didn't know is the team at ATI would become like family for me. On the days I had energy and was gung ho, they worked to push me.. On the days where I was frustrated with the pace or setbacks in my recovery, they comforted me and got me through the hard days, and I had many. To say I had 1 or 2 therapists working with me, think of the saying "it takes a village" well, it's true in my case. They explain it as a way to track your routine. It's a rip off. I did not like that surprise expense. If you look at the cost of each exercise your jaw will drop. The therapists and location were fine but my problem has been with sorting through billing and trying to determine what is what. The billing department staff are not very easy to understand but have all been patient with me. I should have checked the reviews and went to a personal trainer instead. I would have gotten the same results without the exorbitant cost.
