The cherry on top our our vacation! I was looking for a photographer before our vacation but did not have any luck (cost and timing). All I wanted was one family photo with 7 of us and one toddler. I reached out to Pacific Dream with little hope of them having availability, but to my surprise they were able to get us in. Samuel was our photographer and he was so laid back, he made us all have fun - no stress. All of our pictures were beautiful and looked to tropical, we really did have a great time. We weren't looking to have professional photos taken but saw the sign while going down to the pool and decided why not. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in the evening before we left. Samuel was friendly and easy going and the shoot itself was over in 20 minutes...which was perfect for us and our toddler. The best part was the way he made her smile (huge genuine ones) without any loud or annoying clicking sounds, high pitched voices, etc. I met Laura the next morning for the viewing and I was very pleasantly surprised to see so many beautiful photos captured in such a quick session. Jared took our engagement photos in Kauai, Hawaii at the Princeville Resort. Despite being the first time my fiance and I have had professional photos taken of us, Jared made the process very smooth and enjoyable. We wanted him to provide guidance and he did. We recently stayed at the St. Regis Princeville, and worked with Jorge (the Pacific Dream branch manager) and Jonathan (our photographer). They were both wonderful - friendly and professional! Jonathan took beautiful photos of me, my husband, our daughter, and my parents. He made us all incredibly comfortable, and we genuinely enjoyed the sunset shoot on the beach. (We aren't people who usually enjoy having our picture taken. Most of us prefer to be behind the camera...) The next day, Jorge worked with us to select a photo package. It was surprisingly fun! The photos were all so good; we looked happy and relaxed, and the beach at sunset was a lovely backdrop. The pictures actually brought my dad to tears! Everyone who has seen them has been extremely complementary, and they are great memories for us. This was a wonderful part of our vacation! I highly recommend them!! I reached out to several photographers on the Island before our vacation and was disappointed with just how expensive a simple family shoot would cost. I was feeling discouraged when I got a reply back from Pacific Dream Photography which happened to be in the lobby of our hotel. They made it incredibly easy to set up a photo shoot and we met our wonderful photographer, Caitlin, just steps from our room. She took us to several spots on the property and in 45 minutes we felt we had accomplished 2 hours worth of shooting! We had an incredible experience with Pacific Dream Photography--I'm going to let my wife tell the full story. We were staying at the St. Regis Princeville, which was pure luxury Island style. This was our first vacation without our children in 19 years and we'd almost forgotten how romantic Hawaii truly is. One morning, I woke up and asked my husband how he felt about renewing our wedding vows on the beach. He said, "sure" and instead of going snorkeling and ziplining that day, we started planning a sunset ceremony. Unlike our original wedding, there was no need to worry about the guest list, caterer, flowers, band, etc., and the concierge at the hotel had connected us with a local Hawaiian minister. But as we're both film and video producers, we knew we did want a really good photographer. We'd walked by the Pacific Dream Photography office in the hotel on our way down to the pool and had already set up a morning shoot for the next day, not knowing we were going to renew our vows. They graciously rearranged their schedule to be there at sunset. It was all part of a day where everything just naturally fell into place. We asked our photographer, Josh, to shoot mostly candid shots, as we wanted the focus to be on the ceremony and he was totally unobtrusive and stayed in the background, until we asked for a few posed pictures at the end. As the sun went down over Hanalei Bay, our minister performed an intimate Hawaiian service on the beach and gave us matrimonial leis to exchange as we renewed our vows. It was an extraordinary setting, with nature as our only witness. And what a witness she turned out to be! The next day we went to see Kristin at the office to review our photos. Turns out Josh had created a video montage of some of the best shots, set to the Van Morrison song, Have I Told You Lately, and unbeknownst to us, he also shot some video clips, which were a real bonus. We were very impressed with his work; he captured the heart and spirit of our ceremony and was totally in the flow with the casual aloha spirit we'd envisioned. The photos were magnificent and the video priceless. We will never forget that special day and how seamlessly things came together. My wife, my daughter and I visited Kauai during last week of 2012. We must have called and emailed every single photographer we could find in Kauai to take some family portraits of us. No one got back to us except for Pacific Dream! I swear most of the photographer there are bunch of lazy bums! There was one photographer (a young girl with accent) who couldn't spare an hour for us because she had a wedding to photograph at the end of the week which was 5 days down the line! We were really shocked and surprised how lazy and kickback some these photographers were. But not the guys from Pacific Dream....they promptly returned our call and we scheduled a session. We stayed at the St. Regis in Princeville, for our baby moon and chanced upon Pacific Dream through Guest Services. We weren't looking for anything very extravagant, but something to keep for our memories - Kristin did the photo shoot and was very patient and wonderful, suggesting some great ideas for the shoot, and picked nice locations as well. When we reviewed the pictures, we had to narrow down about 150 pics to a handful, because we wanted only a few pictures, and she was very considerate of our opinions, while helping us narrow down by giving us valuable inputs. My husband and I did a photo shoot with Pacific Dream Photography for our anniversary trip while we were staying at the St. Regis. We wanted to make a little photo book to commemorate the occasion and called around to a bunch of different photographers but eventually settled on Pacific Dream Photography because of the convenience factor (they did the photo shoot right at our hotel). We loved our session! Our photographer, Kazumi, was fantastic! We had great chemistry with her and she did an excellent job of capturing the precious, fleeting moments of the sunset! She also knew the property really well so she knew where to get the best scenery! In just 45 minutes, Kazumi took over 800 shots and gave us over 220 "finished" photos to choose from! She also made a little video that brought tears to my eyes because it really captured the dynamic between me and my husband. We met with Kristen to go over our photos. She was extremely patient with us and super accommodating as we took a really long time narrowing down to the pictures we wanted. She was also very helpful, chiming in with her professional opinion whenever we had a tough time deciding between similar shots. We are super satisfied with our experience! We reviewed the photos on our last day on the island and it was an excellent way to end our trip! read more

I was definitely disappointed with this company, I would not recommend to anyone. I would say it is partial my fault for not doing my research thoroughly and prematurely booking Pacific Dream Photography for my wedding based off of a few pictures they included as part of their contract. To start, this company is a large company with multiple locations that contracts many photographers, hence you are not getting one style of photos but rather, the style of the person who is your photographer, which in my case was not the style of what I had wanted. After realizing the original manager had left, and the type of photography company it was, I asked if I could cancel (3 months left into the wedding) and they said they could but would take 50% of my deposit. There was miscommunication between the replaced booking manager and he ended up sending the photographers half an hour earlier then I stated I wanted, which meant they finished half and hour earlier than I intended them to, loosing important moments to capture. Of roughly 500 photographs, my family and I liked less than 20, and sad to say you can't do your wedding over to capture the moments you wanted. I am a amatuer photographer myself and I've seen and taken better photographs than I was provided with. I had two very young girls as my photographers, one which was in "training" and were eager to leave upon 4 hours, even though they showed up earlier than I had asked them to. Many of the pictures were not taken with a single focus but rather as a dynamic picture, leaving it to look as though anyone could take the photo, with any type of camera. They did not direct the session as they should have, feet were cut off where they should have been included, photos were off centered when they should have been center, grooms shirt was sticking out which would have been nice to mention. Each photograph looks exactly the same, no differences in styling, background, distance, perspective, etc. Overall, this is one of the worst experiences and I am very unhappy with this company after how much money I had to spend. If you are looking into booking this company for such an important event, such as a wedding, I would say DO NOT DO SO, you WILL regret it. read more

Jorge set us up with photographer Rachel, who was fun and energetic and really helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We came to Kauai for our honeymoon in July of 2015. Since we had eloped it was important to me that we had some professional photos taken. I am so glad that Pacific Dream Photography was available. We had a 45 minute photo session at many scenic places on the beautiful property of the Grand Hyatt Kauai. Our photographer Calen was great, he made us both relaxed and we had a lot of fun during the shoot. The next day Eugenia went through each of our 130 photos one by one and we got to choose which were our favorites. Most of the packages also come with a great slideshow set to music and video clips that were sneakily taken during the shoot. Eugenia is wonderful at her job and we utilized her expert opinion on many occasions. Calen and Eugenia both were lots of fun to work with and wonderful in their respective roles.
