I was unsure about location to propose so Ikaika consulted me on a phone call about potential locations and times available. He was very detailed and thorough about pros and cons and tailored his service towards my preferences. Ikaika also offered back up time slots in case other circumstances changed our scheduled shoot. Ikaika was responsive throughout the day of the photoshoot. Proposing is stressful enough and Ikaika made the coordination process seamless. Alii Kauai Weddings did the best job helping me plan my dream elopement from Texas. I had never been to Kauai or even on a tropical vacation anywhere and they were always available to answer my questions and helped me plan everything out exactly like I wanted. The moment that I realized I had definitely made the right decision hiring them was when our flight got delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight and we got stuck in Los Angeles the night before our wedding! It was so stressful and I don't know what I would have done without Jessica. I called her and explained what happened and that we would not be able to get a flight until the next day ( Sunday, our planned wedding day). She made a miracle happen and was able to move our wedding from Sunday to Monday: flowers, cake, videographer, photographer, officiant, wedding coordinator and all! I couldn't believe it and was so grateful to not have to go from the airport straight to our wedding! The vendors that she works with were exceptional. We booked an engagement session with Naomi in October 2017 at Ke'e beach. We had awful rain throughout the entire day. We were very concerned that the engagement session would not happen. We heard from Naomi throughout the afternoon about what we should do about the rain, alternative times / dates if the rain persisted. I was pretty panicked because I had paid for hair and makeup and I really wanted the photos done. Naomi was relaxed and wonderful throughout the session! Thankfully the rain dissipated. We got hit with rain several times, and instead of letting it derail the session, James just rolled with it. First and foremost I reached out to about 3 other photographers on the island, the prices were a bit high for a short session. Also because I wasn't familiar with the area I asked the other photographers if they had any suggestions, most of them were pretty vague and didn't give me much feedback. I e-mailed Josh via his website, he replied pretty quickly and I sensed the enthusiasm in his e-mails he suggested a few places in the vicinity of the area we were staying at, I Googled them (all really beautiful) and his prices were very reasonable! He was our dude! Josh is really a chill and nice guy and also very professional (he was early and flexible with our meet time) and makes you feel relaxed throughout the whole session. Even the hubs who isn't really the let's pose and take pictures type said it was a cool experience.
