Super nice staff! They engage with the customers. This shop is flanked by other thrift stores which is a plus! This store has plenty of things to look at. Everything is organized nicely and the displays are beautifully done. As I walked in, I immediately saw some bowls (red!) that I wanted. But I left them there, and if I worked my way back to the front of the store and they were still there I would get them. I liked that the clothing racks weren't too cramped. I liked that everything was in its place, shoes all in one spot, same with housewares etc... the store is well lit. Very cute store and I could find myself definitely returning here. Parking again, is an issue if you don't come early. Love the staff's friendliness and I bought the red bowls! read more

They give scholarships out every year so most of the staff are volunteers. Awesome and friendly staff. We found a couple great vintage chairs for $15.00 each with chair covers. Beth helped me get the second chair to my car when my wife was working. read more

The store is so clean. And filled with one of a kind treasures. Plus the ladies are all really helpful and friendly.

Such an amazing little store!! So many incredible quality items for sale. All the ladies you see there are dedicated volunteers... giving their time to this great little store. All the proceeds go towards educational enhancements for our local youth, thru scholarships for high school seniors, programs at Casa Romanica and Boys & Girls Club, to name a few. Coral Thrift is a nice, clean shop with friendly staff who are all volunteers! After they greet you they advise you of ongoing sales. The clothing is set up to easily find the style and size I'm looking for. I'm happy that the money they make goes back to help students via scholarships or other educational programs. This store does not honor their prices. Today I was there shopping and picked up a small item that was on the front counter. I asked to add the item to my order and the woman working there said "Oh no this is too cheap. This should be $5 not $2. I'll give it to you for $5" I very politely be told her that it's not a good practice to change prices on people while they are checking out. She said too bad, that it should have been priced higher. I then said nevermind then and decided to leave without making a scene and she yelled out "Jerk" as I was leaving. I don't catch the woman's name but she told me that she was originally from Arizona. read more

I have been a long time customer, but will NEVER shop here again. While most of the volunteer lady's are wonderful, there is one name Marilyn who is beyond nasty. Last time I was there, about two weeks ago, the sweet lady ringing me up told me about the rear parking as I am disabled and walk with a cane, so it is very difficult to park in front and try to get in and out of my car with traffic whizing by. Today I parked in the back, exactly where the lady told me to the last time I was in there just after Christmas. When I got inside "Marilyn" told me to move my car as it is for "coral staff" only. She was very loud and had everyone in there stareing. I am legally disable with a properly displayed disable placard, so you should at least familiarize yourself with parking laws regarding the disabled. When I explained that I was a regular customer and was Told to park there last time I was in, she literally caller me a LIAR in front of all the customers and "staff". Marilyn ( if that is even her real name ) then proceeds to falsely tell me to get my fingers out of her face. Shocking as not only did I not have my finger or anything else "in her face" but she wasn't even standing close to me. She was standing way on the other side of a clothing rounder more than a rounder away from me, hence why she was talking so loud and causing a scene. I have been coming to this shop for many many years and knew ladies that volunteered there who have since passed away. Marilyn even had the audacity to say I had only been in there once before, hum...try asking the lady who volunteers with the beautiful short grey/white hair, as I had recently bought the vintage crystal wine decanter she donated that had belonged to her mother. The Coral Thrift Shop provides assistance to worthy causes but has failed miserably to provide any basic respect to loyal customers including the disabled community. Shame on you. FYI... by law you are required to provide at least one handicapped parking space for your business / shop and haven't. We are also allowed by law to park in those spaces so please familiarize yourself with handicapped parking laws. Marilyn is a very bad reflectiion on coral thrift shop, and with her nasty attitude should not volunteer anywhere. This was not the first time she has been very rude to me but it is definitely the last, as I will NOT shop there until she is gone for good. read more

NB: This review pertains primarily to their household items. I just moved to San Clemente; I am a thrift-store lover; I need lots and lots of household stuff. This place was such a delight and soooooo cheap. Most glasses, plates, bowls, flatware, and more went for just 10¢. Their assortment of adorable wine glasses, 50¢ each. Not only were these finds all incredibly cheap, they were also in good condition and quite charming. It's a non-profit -- like the also fun Assistance League Bargain Box next door -- and the proceeds return to the San Clemente community, which is wonderful. And the women who work there are hilarious, helpful, and kind. Definitely a must-do if you like thrifting and are in the area. Though I focused on household goods, there were also definitely finds among the women's clothing. read more

I would have to agree with some of the yelp reviews some of the volunteers are quite rude" more of a social gathering for some of the volunteers who really don't have hearts set on the charity or the community of shoppers only show up to receive brownie points. This is just the greatest shop! Have been going there for years and have always found amazing items at a very fair price. The last time I was at the shop, it looked like they have really cleaned up the room where the kitchen things are and mens clothes are. Always can find something to buy to wear for everyday or going to a special occasion. Thanks for all the scholarships you give to local kids. read more

I am writing this review to raise concern for a particular snotty woman who was working/volunteering today on 8/19/19 around 12 PM. I didn't catch her name but she had shoulder length blonde hair. She is NOT to be confused with the nice sweet lady at the register with short white/grey hair. From the beginning I walked into the store, I heard the aforementioned woman chatting rather loudly/disruptively with a customer and blabbering on about dancing. She was then talking about how her son/daughter(?) chose an "obnoxious rap song" for their wedding and I am honestly surprised she didn't say something racist because she was so "disgusted". She also told the customer she was going to reserve some special items for her which I am not even sure is allowed. Even worse, she then went on to gossip about some director (perhaps the director of the nonprofit) and some other people in the organization/neighborhood saying some really nasty things about them. She was doing all this while standing in the aisle in the way of customers and came off like she was just there to stand around look pretty & chat about herself because she paid no mind to customers. She was also very condescending when talking about minorities. At a regular store, I might even find this respectable but at a nonprofit store that is supposed to be assisting the disenfranchised, I find it hard to support them because people like her make you wonder where your money is really going. read more

Great local Thrift Store that supports local organizations with scholarships and contributions. My visiting son-in-law needed to find business clothes, and this store had just what he was looking for. A local man had donated beautiful and expensive near-new clothing, lots of pieces, all of which fit my son-in-law perfectly. I found a vintage aloha shirt...and some fun kids toys. Good staff and nicely organized. read more
