Love this trail. Perfect warm up before going to gym. Takes me about 38 minutes to complete when I mix jogging and brisk walking. Trails are clear so it's easy to navigate. Ample amount of parking. Closes at 10pm which was a shocker to me. I love when I see the parents letting their kids play in the water. Not on their iPads and out in nature burning energy. Good job to them! There's only a couple spots that I can see it being a problem if you arent able to move around well read more

Near Rochester, right off a highway, Corbett's Glen is very easy to get to. It's located inside a quaint neighborhood (expect to walk behind houses at points along the hike), and is very well-maintained. We started on the wood-area of the park, walking toward the creek and water falls at the Glen itself. The round trip of the hike was just a sliver more than 2 miles but it was an easy hike, with just two sections of up/down hill-climbing. Very beautiful and picturesque, with an amazing tunnel under the Amtrak tracks. Very much recommended for a short, morning hike if you don't mind the drive out. read more

Got my first hike of the year in this past Sunday . Rochester is about 90 min give or take from me , but I saw pictures online and wanted to explore it for myself . Well marked trails , easy to navigate paths and then low and behold , a beautiful waterfall coming out of a tunnel . People were very friendly in the neighborhood and walking their dogs . The whole loop was about 2 miles - the perfect distance and terrain for a light hike . Can't recommend this spot enough . read more

Absolutely gorgeous and delightful park. I and a friend did the perimeter trail, which took a little over an hour at an easy pace. There's so much variety to look at. We didn't even explore the whole park, and I want to come back. I was not too impressed with the map signage but I'm not knocking any stars because I loved the experience anyway. read more

Love me some Corbett's Glen on a beautiful day! A great spot for both companion and solo exploration. I've done Hikyoga through Corbett's Glen, I've hiked through some of the trails on my own, and sat near some of the gorgeous falls for picnic lunches. I have ALSO tried to go for a run through Corbett's Glen, with the grand finale of that being a nasty fall on the rock stairs, right onto my butt! User error, for sure, but tread carefully down those stairs as they get slippery fast. The trails are fairly easy and flat, and I tend to go during less peak times, which has lead me to never have an issue with parking. I love the park for its simplicity and feast for the eyes. Compared to some of the other trails in Rochester, this one is well maintained and easy to navigate. Centrally located, be sure to check out Corbett's Glen ASAP! read more

A two-mile natural haven in the middle of Rochester, Corbett's Glen offers a scenic walk through a stunning wooded area. I can imagine how magnificent this place would be in fall with the turning foliage. There are several loops to extend your hiking - the trail is nicely maintained with mostly even terrain and some benches to accommodate rest stops if needed. Many leashed dogs were enjoying a walk the day we visited the Glen. The walk is beautiful, the falls gorgeous and there's some history to be learned from the posted literature on the trail. Will definitely recommend this spot. Be warned there are no available facilities. read more

This park is a hidden treasure in Brighton right off Penfield Rd. I first came here for a meetup hiking event not expecting much because I had never heard of it. The trail is a perfect distance about 3 miles and the trail is kept clean with little to no difficulties in doing the entire trail. The coolest part about this trail is the creek throughout it and the tunnel. It's a beautifulish unique spot for some really cool and different pics. A very nice location to hike in the Rochester area. The nature park has two main entrances, one off of Glen Road (off 441) and the other off Penfield Road. We usually park off of Penfield Road because there is a parking lot, and Glen Road has more limited street parking. There is one main trail with a few loops that make for great trail running. The trails themselves are well maintained and very soft, which again is great for those who like trail running. Dogs are allowed (on leash of course), and there are many people taking their dogs for walks here. For the most part, the trail is quite easy and flat. There is one section where the elevation changes, but it is easily navigable. I of course like the section of trail that follows the Allen's Creek. There are some small, quite calming waterfalls there. There is a deck overlook, that used to have a letterboxing cache nearby. I'm not sure if it's still there or if you can still access it with all the trail improvements they've made recently. And I'm not sure if people are still letterboxing, so I won't say more than that. As mentioned, there have been some trail improvements (as of Fall 2019) it seems that new trail "fences" have been erected to keep people on the main trails and out of the water. I have mixed feelings about this because,yes, we should endeavor to keep our natural places clean and untouched by human activity, but at the same time, I think they look rather ugly. A word of warning to dog owners, please keep dogs on leash, and I highly recommend keeping them on the trails as much as possible. It's peak season for ticks as I write this, but I was surprised just how many ticks my dog picked up on our most recent walk through Corbett's Glen. We regularly take our dog to wooded areas/parks, and I've never seen this many. So just a friendly reminder to do tick checks for both your dog and yourself when hiking. read more

While the trails are not looped, I explored the northern part of the park. I saw very few people along the trails. The parking lot off Penfield Road has about 7-8 spots so some people parked alongside the fence. It was a nice visit under an hour if you went through most of the trails. The marks were not super obvious but you won't get lost because the area is small enough to handle. Some trails got really muddy after the snow melted so wearing proper shoes is a must. read more

Loved this little park. I wore the wrong shoes so there's a nice steep hill that I slid right down. We have two little pups that did great on this path. We made it down to the stream and enjoy nice views. The snow was melting and it was a little muddy in areas (one of our pups is white so everything shows) We already are planning our next met up here! read more

It was my first time here. Right when you turn from Linden Ave, make an immediate left on Glen Road. There's street parking, about 4 spots on each side. There is a high chance you might have to parallel park. The trail is the opposite direction, walk past the couple of houses and go through the "tunnel" to get to the trail. There is water and rocks along the right side and it gives off a nice cool breeze. The trail is approximately 2 miles. Some parts of the trail have shade and others don't. The water is about ankle to knee high. The trail is not steep at all, it is flat. This is a dog friendly trail! My dogs loved it. There are NO garbage cans here. This is a very nice trail hidden away in the suburbs. It is small but it's so close. I will definitely be back. I would suggest spraying bug spray. read more

I went there last year and it was amazing!! My kids loved to wander in the river! The waterfalls are gorgeous and very small. It's too cute to not go there! The best part is you get to walk in a giant tunnel and see a creek down to the river into waterfalls then more river! We ended up walk and saw a trail which we took that path. It was fun and very relax!! It's perfect for summer time and relax at same time. I'd recommend everyone to go there and enjoy the nature! We all forgot what it looks like in nature especially we are engrossed into technologies! We miss out a lot what nature have for us! :) read more

This is a beautiful park that is hidden in Penfield. I didn't know about it for the longest time even though I lived in Penfield for a year (I usually don't get out much). It used to be private owned but now a park for us all to enjoy. There are three cascades. The scenery is beautiful, particularly in the fall. There are a handful of parking spots in the small lot at the entrance. The trail is about 2 miles total. It's a big loop but it can be confusing to get back to the parking lot because of the multiple turns in the beginning. If you're close to Penfield area, definitely check it out. Your stress will go way down after one hike. read more

A truly beautiful place and a must visit natural location in Rochester. I love this place, both the north more woodsy part of the park and the south with the creek trails and waterfall. The area by the tunnel and waterfall is one of the prettiest in the country IMO and makes for a beautiful backdrop for some lovely pictures. This is a very easy walk if entered from under the bridge but there is a fairly steep hill to get to the North side of the park or to the south from the North and vice-versa. If you're feeling a little adventurous, there are numerous higher up trails in the south part of the park with spectacular views of the creek and park below. Just be careful as they're very steep. The creek itself is beautiful and the rapids provide a peaceful area to sit and rest and enjoy the sounds of the creek. I love it here, you will too! Parking can be a challenge so be prepared to either wait, or park somewhere in a nearby neighborhood and walk to the entrance. read more

Corbett's Glen is a gem of park located relatively centrally in Rochester. It's easily accessible and a quick escape from the urban jungle. The flowing water and greenery makes it easy to forget that you're in Rochester. It's a relatively short trail that can be walked in 30-45 minutes. Most of the trail is mulched and well-delineated. A great place to visit if you'd like to get a fairly easy to access view of a small waterfall or two. There are barriers newly erected to prevent folks from getting too up and personal. I enjoyed the waterfalls but also the various plants and trees. There were some nice places to sit if you needed a break. Reviews recommending bug spray are totally right. So be prepared! Have always wanted to see this park, yesterday I did. Parking is tough though so be aware. The park entrance is cool as you go through an old tunnel, the path is pretty clearly marked. You can follow the unmarked path along the water which gives you great views of the water and falls, but it can be a little bit of a work out as you're climbing on rocks, and working your way through some bushes. Was able to get some great photos, and the views are just incredible. It's kind of a short hike, so you can do it in less than an hour. Very nice, hidden park, check it out. read more

This park has some natural aspects to it that are quite beautiful, however the herbaceous layer has been pretty much completely taken over with invasive species and I saw very little wildlife today other than hundreds of Spongy Moths. It's kind of surprising to me that the town of Brighton doesn't do more to maintain this area. read more

It used to be a secret. When I was a 12 year old child I discovered a hidden bridge that I went under. I felt like it was almost going to Oz and I might even see the Wizard, Ok, maybe not, I was a little savvy at 12 but I knew it was special. Anyways, when I walked under the bridge I saw an old home and a beautiful falls. Nobody was there, NOBODY but me! More so I knew I was very close to a busy expressway. So odd and special in such an unusual place. It became my secret that I only shared to my brother, my best 2 friends and later on important girl friends. I grew up, things changed. I stopped going, I guess I grew up a bit. Jump up to the the 21st century! It is now a very sweet small park that has two major entrys. One is on Penfield Road, and the other is Glen Road. Small, several trails and unfortunately a lot of loved hikers. You will like it if not love it, but you will never get to see the secret feeling that I used to have :) None the less still go. it is really nice. read more

One of the best nature areas around Rochester, mainly because of the cascades near the tunnel on the South end. The rest of the area is fairly vanilla as far as forest trails go, but unless you're an elevation snob I don't think that makes this place any less magical. There is also a nice boardwalk that goes across a marsh area and I enjoyed that part of the trail. Corbett's Glen is where my wife and I had our engagement photos and we were happy with how they turned out. The place around the tunnel and cascades has a certain serenity to it, and we've been back a number of times. I definitely recommend parking at the south tunnel side - it's a little more nerve wracking with the 45 degree parallel parking, but it's worth it if you want to be spared the drudgery of a long regular hike through the woods. read more

I am a fan of the park, I think it's a great little space that is pretty well maintained. The high traffic usage has left some of the paths covered in plastic or other material that they intended to have under the wood chip. On a hot day the place is virtually overrun with families (I use the word loosely, depending on how loosely the little ones are monitored) who are wading and swimming in the water. read more

Today was my first time even hearing about this place and it turned out to be a little treasure. It's nestled away on a side street off 441, just off of 490 and as you walk into the park, it's as though the city melts away behind you. Despite only being about 18 acres, the park gives you a nice opportunity to hike around and see the carious waterfalls and wildlife. As you first walk into the park, you have to cross beneath an old railroad tunnel with Allen's Creek flowing alongside you. The tunnel reminded me of the front gates to Jurassic Park because, as I said earlier, it really feels like the world behind you disappears. Once you get to the entrance of the park, you'll notice some of the small waterfalls and a nice house with some beautiful wrap-around porches. Apparently this used to belong to Patrick Corbett (hence the name of the park). If you look hard enough, you'll see a set of miniature railroad tracks around the house. I spent the latter part of the walk wondering if anything actually went on them. For those looking for a leisurely walk, stay on the main path, but be sure to bring some shoes you don't mind getting wet and dirty. The trail can get pretty muddy and even the spots that I thought were solid ended up giving me some lovely wet feet. If you're looking for a bit more rigorous hike, you'll notice a dirt path running closer to the river and you can follow that. There are more hills, but it provided a nice opportunity to see some cardinals, blue jays, chipmunks, and even a garter snake. So, if you find yourself hanging around on one of these beautiful Rochester days and you want something to do for an hour or so, swing by Corbett's Glen for a nice hike. If you want to extend your trip, pack up some sandwiches and make a picnic out of it; there are several picnic tables that allow you a nice chance to just relax outside and take in nature. read more

Enjoy a relaxing walk with a waterfalls view. Two entrances, Corbett Glen North trail is off Penfield road, but the parking is limited here along side the road. South trail is on Glen Rd that leads to Postcard Falls. Enter across a bridge and through a tunnel leading to a small waterfall. There is a seating area where the sign is located, be careful of young children there is a steep drop off down to the water. Follow the path leading to a cascading waterfall. Dip your toes in the cool water or wade through the small stepping stones. Dog and kid friendly. Please clean up after yourself, there were full doggie bags and some littering which is disappointing. The trail is very easy with several loops. Bring a lunch or snacks and enjoy a picnic next to the beautiful falls. There are some trails off main trail that are steeper, but looks like it is fenced off in areas. Enjoy the butterflies, and other creatures along your hike. Awesome place to go for a little nature hike. We went on memorial day and parked at the North entrance, it was packed. The park is large enough where it didn't really matter, parking was just a pain. We hiked from the North entrance to the south part of the park to see the falls. I was expecting them to be larger but they are more like turbulent water. Not sure why I thought they were going to be larger. It's nice and peaceful with lots of wildlife and we'll maintained trails. I would recommend a day trip if you're in the area and havnt visited before. read more

Nice little park for a hike right close to Rochester. The entrance off Glen Rd is cool because you walk under the train tunnel next to Allen's Creek. It's a great entrance to a cute little park. We walked for about an hour throughout most of not all of the park. Parking on Glen Rd is a little tricky - watch the signs for where to park. You can get a parking ticket if you don't! We broke a sweat so I guess it's a bit challenging but nothing too tough. Check this park out! read more

Corbett's glen is a relatively flat hiking spot, with a few smaller falls. The tunnel falls are about a 3 foot drop, and depending on your entrance, are the first thing that you see. These one are the only handicap accessible falls, or for people with strollers.There is a another set known as the "Postcard Falls" that are about a 5-6 foot drop span, farther down on your hike. The water comes from Allens Creek, and empties into Irondequoit Bay. If you do all of the trails it totals up to about 2 miles. There is a large open field on the trail, which is perfect for dogs, picnics, or playing frisbee with the kids. read more

Wear deet due to deer ticks. Wear rubber boots due to muddy areas. Leash your dogs and pick up doggie poop. You can no longer go into the creek. Parking in the lot on Penfield Rd is at your own risk. Cars get broken into on a regular basis. Also, remember it was once a dump and some broken glass has been rising through the ground. Careful out there. read more

I recently came here with Adam to find a new place to walk and enjoy the scenery. The falls are nice and you can get right in the water. There were many people swimming while we were there. There is also a very nice clearing that you can enjoy a picnic. I'm very sure there are multiple trails and loops but the one Adam and I took was pretty short which was nice because it was hot and we weren't interested in a 5 mile walk. There is not a lot of parking so you may have to walk a bit to actually get to the falls and there are 2 different parking areas at different parts of the loops. I think the next time Adam and I want to get outside for a short walk, we will probably come back here for the nice loop. read more
