We had a drain problem and called cordia they came out and they used their drain camera to inspect the pipe and charge just $225 for that job then the next few days I called and asked for the video and they told me that the video had failed and that it would have to come out and do it again so this time they came out the next morning and did the camera work again also had Steve the owner come out to give us a bit on some work and I've called for the last week for the video and quote and now the phone is dead I would not suggest to use them again because they are unreliable. There must be a problem with the company because the last 34 days the phone is not working! read more

I contacted Cordia in January '24 and the boss, Steve Cordia, came to my house and eyeballed my job. I went into his nearby office read it and signed the contract for a leak in an upstairs drain, for $1950. I then heard nothing for three weeks while I could not use my upstairs bathroom. (There are two up there so not a huge deal.) He did tell me, at the time of signing, that I needed to "open up" the job" , meaning to cut openings in the walls and or ceilings, to enable access to the problem. This would save me money. I did not know know exactly where the leak was coming from so I opened two holes in the living room wall and ceiling without seeing any pipes. Third time was the charm, but, stupidly, I used a rip saw in the walls, which was not the right saw to use. These walls were from the 30's. No drywall on studs in those days. Wire , lathing, concrete and plaster. Fine dust all over the living room, dining room and halls and everything that was in it. Wrong saw. Finally, in the middle of February, the owner sent his son, a licensed plumber, to work on the leak, which was coming from a lateral drain line in the ceiling between the living room and hallway. He cut away the damaged section of pipe, which was copper (not used for drains now, but common before the use of PVC) . The section of copper he removed was indeed badly compromised. It was explained to me that while copper for supply lines lasted a very long time, copper drains, especially lateral lines that did not drain completely, because they were, well ....., lateral tended to have standing liquid in them Copper drains that came from upstairs bathrooms drained vertically into the lateral, and finally into a cast iron stack, did much better because there was no standing water in them. But the laterals collected bodily fluids and bathroom chemicals of all sorts, but they did not drain as well as the vertical runs. Eventually, the copper got eaten up, and then leaked. I would say he spent about an hour and a half in the house. Had we stopped there, the leak would have been repaired, I could have made my case for total time of about 2 hours of work and requested an adjustment from Cordia, and gotten busy fixing all the holes in my walls and ceilings. But I had signed a contract which included replacement of the bathroom drains in my upstairs bathroom. These were not leaking and did not need replacing but I didn't know that. Further, access to this drain system required opening the wall in my bedroom and creating a large hole in the ceramic tile floor of my bathroom to provide space to hook up with the first floor lateral. Another month passed and nobody appeared for another month to hook up the drain. Finally in the middle of March two people appeared to finished the job. They were also part of the Cordia family. One was licensed. he went to work in the bedroom opening and hooked that upstairs drain to the lateral in the downstairs ceiling in plastic. Considerable copper line was removed. It appeared to me it was excellent condition. In the bathroom, the helper took a hammer and began pounding away at the ceramic tile floor tile under bathroom sink. I was horrified, although the company had told me that for purposes of access, it was necessary to do it. I did not feel the need to watch any more of this and went downstairs as they were getting ready to turn to water back on. This done, I went about my business as the workers packed up and, I suppose, made the short drive back to Cordia about a mile away. The next day I noticed that a collection of antique cutlery that had been in a lucite box on my dresser was no longer there. (Only the top remained) I noticed a gray box containing a dozen rolls of quarters put aside from the days I operated a small apartment building with a coin laundry, was missing. There was a cigar box, kept for years in the top drawer of my dresser, was now sitting on top of a window AC in the corner of the room. All told, the value came to about one thousand dollars. Nobody but Cordia, aside from my son, had even been in the house since January since the holes, dust, tools, plaster bags, paint cans were everywhere on the first floor. NOBODY had been in the second floor but the two plumbers. To make a long story short, I contacted Cordia. The only investigation they made was to ask the plumbers if they were the thieves. Amazingly, the said no. That was it. Cordia said somebody else had removed my money and property, although nobody else had been in the house. They said they trusted their family employees and made no other effort. The Clayton police said in the absence of physical evidence there wasn't anything they could do. I won't belabor this. Based on charging $1950 for what should have been a job of maybe $500 and then having been relieved of my property. I am not recommending you use Cordia Plumbing. Too bad. They seemed like nice people. I paid my bill. read more

Cordia Plumbing did everything great! Whereas other companies couldn't get me on their calendar for at least a week, Cordia got me on for three days from the call. To my surprise, they call me just an hour or two later and where able to work me in the same day. Their prices were the best I was quoted and they didn't try to upsell me for unnecessary services. Horrible experience both with the plumber and with the office after the plumber's visit. The plumber didn't fix the problem, which I understand. There were reasons the faucet could not be fixed. However, the plumber actually made the problem worse. We called a competent plumber to have the system repaired. I would strongly suggest you try another plumber instead of Cordia. read more

Was referred to this company by another contractor. Twice I scheduled a meeting with them and stayed home from work...and both times I was stood up. I called to complain and they sent someone over same day. When someone did show up, he was supposed to follow up with an estimate. That never happened. I have no idea how their work is because I will never use this company. They completely wasted my time. read more

Cordia didn't perform any plumbing work for me, but I had an experience with them, nonetheless. One of their plumbers came into my yard and took water from the outside tap on my house - without so much as asking. I have no objection to giving away a small amount of water or allowing someone else to use that tap - but I certainly expect to be asked permission, first. read more

What a wonderful plumbing experience. Cordia was hired by the county to fix the water main lateral going from the street to the underground shut-off, so I hired them to replace the 80 year-old pipe going into the house. Everyone involved showed that they were concerned about how their work affected me and did what they could to minimize the impact. They were friendly and informative about what was happening. There were some issues that were not under their control (the water main cracked during the night) and Steve jumped through hoops to get the water company out to fix so that they could complete the work. They made sure I was never without water when I came home from work. I'd hire them again in a minute. read more

I had two differing sewer inspections, I asked Cordia to review the inspections and be our 3rd to confirm the condition of the line. The were on time for the inspection but didn't look at the other videos, didn't focus on the problem area that was clearly marked with a flag, but had no problem billing us full price, $150 for doing the bare basic inspection, not doing what I asked, and they were wrong on the condition of the line. This guy did an amazing job of fixing a blocked sewer line. After three different plumbers came out who didn't sort it (one of which dug up my basement floor for no reason!!) I had a large job that I needed a licensed plumber for, so they sent the owner Steve to come over to give me a bid. The little guy came over on a Tuesday. I asked him when he could get me a bid and when they could do the work. He said he would email me a bid the next day, and the work would probably be done the next week. Wednesday came and went, no bid. Thursday morning I called the office, they promised me they would talk to Steve and I would get an email Friday. Friday, afternoon no email, so I called the office talked to a different person. "I promise I will talk to him about it this afternoon and get you a bid on Monday". Monday morning I called at 8 am, "Steve said he promises he will get you a bid this afternoon". It is now Wednesday night, and have yet to receive a bid. Who makes 3 separate promises and then does not uphold them? I am guessing someone I do not want to do business with. I am a painter and give bids all the time, one time it took me 48 hours, never ever took me any longer than that. Steve by the way took no notes, no pictures, and a week later promised to get me a bid. I wish I had received the bid, just so I could see if he even remembered the giant list of things I wanted done or if he was just going to make a up a number. I am guessing the later. The reason I chose these guys is I had worked on some jobs at the same time as them and thought they did a good enough job. At that time they told me they would take all the scrap metal from their jobs, copper, cast iron from radiators and save it all up and at some point take it all in. The proceeds would be large enough to send several if not all of them on vacation in the Carribean, I was reminded of this when the Steve showed up in March with an August tan. If they make that much money from it, seems like somebody is getting the short end of the stick, and it isn't Cordia plumbing. read more

I have used Cordia plumbing several times to replace valves in faucets, repair running toilets and unclog drains. it was very easy to get an appointment with them and Chris arrived right on time. He did a wonderful job and left everything spic and span. I highly recommend Cordia. They do excellent work. Ed came on a Friday to address a sewer backup in the basement. Told us he would be back on Monday. I called after hours on Friday night to report the backup was now urgent, as we had raw sewage in the basement. A different plumber told us he would personally make sure Ed would be back on Monday. Called Judy, the receptionist, on Monday to make sure we would be seen. Was told they would try to "squeeze" us in. This was the first sign of a problem. No call, no plumber on Monday. We had been witout a shower/toilet since Friday now. Tuesday, I once again spoke to Judy to check the status of our issue. Was told Ed and Steve would talk it over and she would call me back. She then told me they would be at the house in the afternoon (Tue). I said, like, what, noon or one? She said yes. I took off work to be home at noon. When nobody was there by 1, I again called to check on the status. She said she paged the plumbers and they didn't respond and she would call me back. When I didn't hear back from her by 1:30, I called her to cancel the work order; I had found another plumber. Working with this company was a nightmare. I would not recommend their services to anyone. read more
