Solid bowling alley and friendly staff! I don't bowl often (it had been at least 5 years), so I don't have a good comparison. Nonetheless, the staff were friendly, and the owner was sociable and welcoming. The three star rating reflects the location (it was a bit of a drive for me) and that we had to reset the pins and deal with a couple of minor equipment issues across a couple of hours. read more

We drove almost an hour due to prices being lower than our local bowling alley. I called to confirm pricing but no answer. When we arrived the prices were $12 more than posted online. The girl working simply shrugged and would NOT honor the online pricing. When I mentioned I called and there was no answer she shrugged and said "I was busy". A fun bowling center for all ages. The staff is friendly and it is a big center. The kids love to go with groups and we have had a birthday party here that was also fun and organized. There is a good sized snack and pro shop and play area. The play area features a few video games and a small carousel for younger children. Call ahead if you are going with kids in the summer during the week. They often have leagues and camps and the lanes are sometimes full. If you call ahead you can avoid a wait. I had a great time with my friends here. It was affordable and during summer they seem to have some kind of special every day. They also have coupons in the Memphis Entertainment program and are part of the Kids Bowl Free program. I came all the way out here because it was halfway for my and my friends to meet but also because of all the good deals. The price for cosmic bowling was fair; however, there was nothing cosmic about it. No fun lights, the music was HORRIBLE, and the lanes kept needing to be reset. The food prices are ridiculously high- fries cost $5 and I got literally 5 fries with my burger. I will say the food was good though. My wife and I decided that we were going to get out more and do more activities around town. We decided that we would join a bowling league in order to get a little more activity and to meet new people. We went to the bowling alley and bought all new equipment, bowling balls, bags, shoes, etc. We filled out a league request sheet and left our name and number. WE did not receive a call after two weeks so I decided to talk to the league director himself one day when we went in to practice. He stated that he would be sure to call us and that we had plenty of time before the league started but he would definitely call us. We never received a call. Even months after the league has already started, no call. That is not just bad customer service, that is absolutely RUDE. The one positive thing I could say is that a couple of the members of the staff working out front were VERY polite and kind. I highly recommend going some place else if you want to join a league. The league coordinator is AWFUL. read more

I've been here many times, but it's actually my last choice of bowling alleys to go to in Memphis. In fact, this one would be our last resort. It's not extremely terrible, but they have less to offer and the equipment is pretty outdated. I would recommend maybe for more of a family type of bowling alley, not so much for a date night. They don't really play good music and there are no drinks (other than beer). It's a pretty average, older bowling alley. There are others in Memphis that are more updated and offer more, such as bars, better food, etc. read more

This is a dated bowling alley and they don't seem to do a good job with groups. I was recently at this alley with a large group. We had a blast - but that was because of the group, not the alley. The main problem was their management of our lanes. We purchased three games - as did everyone else in the group. Half way through the middle of everyone's second game (keep in mind that we all played at different paces) the systems shut down. OK, a programming error. I can buy that. The games then shut down again after our second game, before the third. I didn't want to wrestle with the guy at the counter again at that point, I just wanted to leave. I give them props for keeping the shoes clean. Also, they had a nice, well waxed selection of balls and the lanes themselves were in good shape (although the computers and video displays were straight off of Captain Picard's bridge). read more

I don't want to write this review, but this is one of the few times I've been this disappointed by an establishment. After being told my boyfriend and I would have to wait an hour at another bowling venue, we had the idea to come here instead. We hadn't been since high school and couldn't think of a reason not to. But now I have several. We were on lane 9. Lane 9 broke down 3 times during the 2 games we played. The 3rd time was actually the last frame of the game, and we were so frustrated, we just left it. The guys behind the counter were attentive and helped out every time but 3 times is excessive. Maybe they should have someone in to look at the mechanics. Just a suggestion. And there were children everywhere. I understand kids like bowling. Everyone likes bowling. But there is no reason that someone should have to deal with kids running and screaming through the venue. Oh, and not to mention, there were also kids running in front of people who were actively bowling. You know with 15lb balls flying out in front of them. That's just dangerous. Maybe this was just a bad night with people who don't know how to control their kids in public, but sadly this was just enough to convince me to never come here ever again. read more

It started off with the old guy with glasses getting an attitude because we ask for a pair of shoes for my friend as she was paying and he told us naw she gone wait until i get her money. I attended this place with some friends on a deal from Groupon for 3 games for 4 people, shoes, pizza, and a pitcher of soda. While the night started it nice and the pizza and soda were quite good, eventually we ran into some problems. A group of "aggressive" bowlers started bowling in the lanes next to us and started to affect our scoring. When we brought the issue up with the front desk, all they did was reset our scores. We never even got to finish our 3rd game when the alley timed us out. I will not recommend this alley or give it my business again anytime soon. read more

Went last night with my wife and some of our friends. We went expecting to do some cosmic bowling and have a few drinks. When we walked in the first thing I noticed was kids, LOTS OF THEM. Running around all over the place. This is a family oriented bowling alley and it shows. I just couldnt get over the kids. They even had a bunch of game machines like you would see at a chucky cheese or something. I instantly changed my mind.n If your wanting to go out with friends and have a cool night bowling and maybe have a few drinks think again. They do serve drinks but I dont see how anyone could enjoy them in this atmosphere. Too many kids for my liking. For my money I rather go to Billy Hardwicks All Star Lanes. We had a large group come in around 4pm on a Saturday, and it wasn't too packed to accommodate us. We were hoping they would have some specials going on, but they didn't. I could not find an email for the general manager but wanted to pass along some info/complaint. I went bowling Wed 1/11/17 and the girl working the register and lanes was very rude/unprofessional. I have been several times and each time it is the same girl that is very disrespectful. I do not know her name but she had glasses/black hair and was the only younger woman working this night. This is not the first time that she has offended me or someone near me in line. Every time I walk up to the register I have to say "Excuse me" even if nobody is in line because she will not look at me, and then when I do ask her anything get treated like I am inconveniencing her. I know that this is a great center run by wonderful people so I just wanted to make sure you all are aware of this going on. Also, last night I was not the only person whom she was rude to.. it seemed like every person in line was treated like second class citizens by this girl so I can not imagine being the only person to ever complain about this. I know you want employees who want to be there and she clearly hated the bowling center/job. Having said all that- I want to take the time to make sure I let everyone know that there was one employee who is the only reason that I will ever come back. I did not get his name but he was wearing a Kentucky hat/blue shirt and had a ponytail. This guy made sure everyone at the center was enjoying their night. I saw this guy do almost everything you can think of for the entire hour and a half I was there. He took care of every issue we had. I have never seen an employee with that much passion and joy in his job at any bowling center I have been to. He is the type of employee that you all should be hiring and be proud to employ. I just hope the 1 bad egg does not cause many others like myself to leave with a bad impression and possibly never come back. He helped move us when our lane kept breaking down.
