But the result was much more, the variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, (some bearing berries for birds) is the envy of the entire neighborhood. The plants have matured into a planned "painting" of contrasting foliage. My experience is that money spent outside of the house goes further than remodel money spent inside...maybe it is the "alive" thing that plants have. We had several zoom calls discussing the plan and making minor revisions to ensure it met our needs. Her design is spot on for our space. Lupe and his two assistants did an unbelievable job in getting this job done quickly, perfectly, and for far less than anyone else had estimated. You can see how this relationship broke down, and why anyone would refuse to recommend them after this experience: I engaged Hedlund Irrigation & Landscaping Inc in October 2020, on the suggestion of a tree doctor, to plant a series of Arborvitae on the border of my property, as well as irrigating it. We initially tried to schedule it that fall, but things were pushed back (understandable). At the last moment, with the unseasonably warm December, it was suggested we plant the trees then -- but on the advice of my tree doctor, I requested to push to early spring. Everyone agreed. At this point the relationship was great. Spring passed. I was attending a family emergency when I was told they were going to plant in June. The hottest part of the year. This was the worst possible time to plant. 3 of 6 trees died. I wrote several times to see if we could rectify this problem and have been stonewalled since. It is now late September. They got their money and ran. This is not a reliable company. Avoid.

In any case, ~20 years ago my son and I terraced the slope & garden on the East side of my house and installed timber retaining walls. Despite the fact that I used treated lumber the once pristine barriers had begun to deteriorate. I also had started but never finished several other projects. The patio and backyard were getting shabby and overgrown. It was time for a change. Anyone who may have read some of my previous reviews knows about my somewhat recent physical challenges. I'm not exactly a Spring chicken either. A professional job was in order. In addition to choosing Inspired I selected bluestone rock to replace the rotting timbers. The resulting walls and edging look great and the old beams were hauled away. Finished work included river rock and mulch. Gustavo partners with his father and brother to schlep, prepare, install and clean up. Gus was personable and I found him easy to work with. Everything was completed on time and according to neighbors looks: "amazing." Bluestone is not inexpensive. At first I was hesitant to spend so much, especially since I had done much work myself. But I think that in the long run the landscaping/hardscaping will more than pay for itself in providing years of entertaining and peaceful contemplation. Not to mention that it will likely raise the value of my home. If I have any major landscaping additions, I won't hesitate to contact Gus and his crew. Together they are effective, efficient, courteous and meticulous.

He said "you are the first on our list next spring" spring comes around and he continues to push us back further and further. May 1st then end of may then end of June. I get an email at the start of June saying maybe Fall of 2021!!!! That is over a year and a half Gus! I understand being busy but this was just disrespectful to my time. Overall, completely unreliable and unresponsive.

He charges a fair price... I called 10 places and he was on the lower end. Great personality, and I am in love with the 1969 truck he owns... So this company is TERRIBLE and I've never hired them. I just get the misfortune of 10+ calls every…read moreweek from them and I've never used them and I'm on the do not call list and I googled weed man spam calls and WOW tons of people reporting the same thing. Not sure what their deal is but they are illegally ignoring the do not call list (which technically you could sue them for) and they call non stop and I have no interest in every hiring them and going by all the recent 1-2 star reviews seems like the few people that do hire them are disapointed. So guess that's why they need to constantly call to try and get new customers since the people that hire them hate them so much. My suggestion is AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. Hire weed man at your own risk!
