The billing department believes my wife has a prostate gland. They keep getting the charges wrong even after 4 months of calls. After multiple calls, they have not reversed the charges so we filed a fraudulent claim with Medicare. Customer service is the worst. As my wife was trying to explain the charge to Pam, she decided to put my wife on hold (for the second time) in mid sentence. Would have given 0 stars but there was no option for it. read more

My appointment was cancelled in January. I was told not once, but twice, not to call back because they would be rescheduling it and calling me. Almost into March, still no call. I called again today and I was told the next available appointment was late July. What a joke this place is. So disorganized, high turnover, lots of errors in care. I was treated by Dr. Stephen McGovern, an orthopedic surgeon at Core Physicians, Exeter, NH,for a meniscus tear. I would give him more than five stars if I were evaluating him on quality training, technique, surgical outcome and chairside manner. He explains things well, takes the time to clarify, an listens carefully. I couldn't be happier. On the other hand, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, the business end of this practice needs a lot of improvement. Almost every step of the way there was an issue mainly involving their lack of communication between staff. One person didn't know what the next was doing and had differing opinions on what order to schedule procedures resulting in scheduling and re-scheduling appointments. At one point I felt I was treated very rudely by a young woman in the central scheduling office which is inexcusable and certainly off-putting. read more

Core Physicians has left me with some of the worst experiences dealing with medical appointments. I give them 2 stars because I have a specialty DR in the practice who is great but every other staff member I deal with leading up to that appointment makes me want to leave the practice every-time. I have literally been hung up on by the office staff while trying to ask a question. So many hoops to jump through and many unfriendly, irritated people along the way. I no longer use Core/Exeter Hospital for any of my primary care or emergency needs. I'm looking forward to finding a specialist outside of Core so I never have to deal with them again. read more

my husband went to Michael Guidi, DO at Core Physicians in Hampton. He tried on three different occasions to try to be ok with his patient/doctor manner but he has already booked with another medical practice. This guy had my usually calm husband so upset!!!! So awful, I won't even go into the details because they're of course, personal but I would tell EVERYONE I know to stay away!!!!!! He was abrupt, insulting and didn't listen to him at all. As many previous have stated, it is a mill. I had a good, independent primary care Dr (Anthony Zwaan) who just could no longer deal with the big insurance machine that caters to these mills. So after 5 years I went back to Core and immediately was reminded why I left. I had to go in for some kind of new patient meet n greet lasting 10 minutes, prescriptions refilled, was told to come back in 3 weeks for "physical", got a lab slip and had labs taken. Got bill and my portion through Anthem (another medical mill participant) was $148. Came back 3 weeks later for identical 10 minutes gab which I guess was the physical, and was told to schedule a year out and have a nice day. I should have just canceled second visit, a complete waste. My portion $39 which I thought should be 100% covered. Both trips were 10 minutes with no contact. I guess it's just another reason it's a good to be getting old. read more

This is the absolute worst medical provider I have ever encountered in 71 years. Calling them with an urgent medical problem causes you to be placed on hold forever. They are apparently more interested in making money than in hiring enough staff to give even remotely competent service. The doctors may be excellent but I wouldn't know because it is almost impossible to reach anyone to talk to. In the unlikely event that someone actually answers the phone an appointment may be scheduled at some point within the next year or so, and, oh by the way, they may cancel it without notice and reschedule it a few months later. totally unacceptable corporate medicine at its absolute worst. read more

Core has gone way downhill since we started with them 7 years ago. I' ve been in pain with my shoulder for almost two months now. Been waiting for an MRI for 3 weeks now. I've had to do the leg work myself and check with my insurance company for the approval, found out a week ago it was denied due to not enough information from Core!!! The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!!! I contacted Core and all they do is put you off and do not follow up! Search is on for a new primary!!! Being a senior citizen and on supplemental Medicare is difficult. Not all practices take my insurance!! I would not recommend Core to my worst enemy!!! read more

I've attempted to make apps 2x for my 2 yr old who has severe reoccurring ear issues. 1x they made me go to the er. The second time they just told me they won't see him bc they think he has covid. He has no sickness but reoccurring blood that leaks from his ear. He is 2 with bloody ears and they won't see him!!!! read more

Totally incompetent. Can manage a simple referral or prescription. You can call and your message won't be relayed. Be prepared to call repeatedly if you want something done. read more

They are woefully understaffed. Good luck getting a phone call returned. They are spotty about phoning prescriptions in. Appointments take forever to book. Staff makes excuses for each other even when it is blatantly obvious they dropped the ball. Everyone makes mistakes from time--just admit it and try to better next time. Called the office because I was in considerable pain for the past seven days all I got was a call from a nurse asking my symptoms and telling me I couldn't get an appointment because the doctor was booked out for the next two months. Then hours later at the end of the day telling me the doctor just said take some over-the-counter medication's and then she signed off by saying "good luck". What I needed wasn't luck, it was actual healthcare. I don't know why this office calls itself a healthcare office because that isn't what they provide. I will be finding a new practitioner now. I have to add mine to the chorus of voices saying "worst provider ever." We all know medical care is driven by profits in this country, but Core Physicians can barely be bothered to pretend they actually care about patients. I had a first appointment at the Exeter branch with a physiatrist (pain management) to address two major problems: 1) upper back pain radiating into my arms and hands which was waking me up multiple times a night and 2) lower back pain which was causing my legs to feel trembly and like I might fall. When I was called back to the exam room, the nurse taking my intake asked if I had brought my back xrays from a year ago (from another provider). I explained that I had been unable to find them, but that my doctor's office faxed the report to them. Also, the x-rays had been normal at the time. She replied "Well, we may have to reschedule your appointment then." Just what you want to hear when you've been waiting, desperate for help, and when you've dragged yourself in, exhausted and in-pain. It felt punitive, since the report was at the front desk and the x-ray was normal anyway. I said as much to her. Then when she saw that I had put "x's" on the diagram showing that I had pain in my upper and lower back, she told me I could only talk to the doctor about ONE of them, because he didn't have time to talk about both! I protested and said that made no sense, and she argued back that there wasn't enough time and that I could make ANOTHER appointment to discuss the other part of my back. At that point I was so disgusted, I knew I was not going to get the care I needed at this place, so I said forget it, and left. I was extremely upset, causing dizzy spells on my way out, I had to sit and collect myself when all I wanted was to get out of there. A kind administrative person came and sat with me and offered to get the patient advocate, but advocates are just there to keep them from being sued, not to really help patients. I had to sit in my car, crying for a while before I could drive home. I will NEVER go to another Core provider if I can help it. read more

I broke my foot, could not get through the switchboard morass. When I finally did they cancelled my appointment. The text said they would call. They didn't. I called. I could only get voice mail. This outfit has been going down hill for 25 years. It is a complete disaster now that provides no healthcare. read more

I have been to this hospital a few times for seizures and there staff could be better. On two separate occasions I was taken there by ambulance twice in one day because they released me while I was not ok to leave. One occasion they released me at midnight during the winter confused, no jacket or shoes...my family found me wandering the parking lot. I wear a medical bracelet that says not to take me to exerted hospital. read more

Recently moved in the area and attempted to establish care as a new patient. They had me come in, fill out paperwork, and they told me they would call me in about 3 weeks to set up a new patient appointment. Not once did they mention that my chosen PCP was booked out until November, nor did they offer me any other options. 2 months later I finally called to see what was going on, and they told me that my "doctor" was booked out until late fall and that there was nothing they could do. I wasted 2 months waiting for these people, they didn't even bother to give me a courtesy call to inform me of my new patient status. I would not recommend this place to anybody, it is actually shameful that that's how a healthcare establishment treats prospective patients. read more

Experiencing abdominal pain. Called my PCP at Core. Got in to see a Nurse Practitioner same day. Nurse was extremely hesitant to send me for an ultrasound. I practically had too demand it. I go to Exeter hospital for the ultrasound. The radiologist there was great. I was 2 hours early for my appointment but she took me right in for it. Next morning I'm still in pain and my Core PCP's office calls me and leaves a voicemail that says "everything was clear and negative in my ultrasound". "Call us back if your still having a problem". I call them back and inform them that the radiologist indicated that I have a hernia in need of surgical repair. The typewritten report from radiology clearly stated that. In fact that's ALL it said, in 2-3 brief sentences. This hernia could twist and strangulate cutting off blood flow to my intestines resulting in death if or when it ruptures. She said "I just glanced over your report and I guess I didn't see that". LITERALLY ALL IT READS IS THAT I HAVE A HERNIA AND IT'S METRIC MEASUREMENTS." My surgery to implant a mesh patch is scheduled a week from today at a hospital not associated with Core. THIS LEVEL OF INCOMPETENCE IS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION. Then, someone else from the same office calls l E.R. because that would be faster for me and she's sure that THE E.R. COULD PATCH ME UP???? This is not a bandaid! We're talking about a surgically implanted mesh patch that gets placed inside me, between my colon and my stomach wall lining. E.R.'s don't perform surgeries, O.R.'s perform surgeries. read more

This practice is horrible. My experience with office staff, schedulers, referrals has been unconscionable. Drs Podrasky (cardiac) and Peck (ENT) are excellent practitioners, however the individuals working with the public and on the paperwork and insurance side, consistently lost documents and forgot to send orders for diagnostic testing 3 times, with follow up calls resulting in my insurance providers intervening and the staff fabricated 6 different 'stories'. If you need critical medical interventions, you may die before you get it because of the incompetence of the staff. They are also disrespectful and rude, not a great quality when dealing with individuals with health issues. It's unfortunate that the MDs are affiliated with this practice as I will have to transfer my care to other practices based solely on the miserable staff they have on hand who are considered 'customer service' They do not deserve any stars. read more

I, along with other members of my family, have had horrible experiences at this office. The level of unprofessionalism is unspeakable. For one thing, it is impossible to get an appointment. I have turned to Urgent Care/Convenient MD numerous times because this office cannot see me for things that a Primary Care office should be able to. I recently called to try and get a prescription filled for something that was somewhat an emergency, they told me they would see if they could fill it without seeing me, and then never called me back. About two years ago, my younger brother had a series of consistent, severe sore throats, when all along he had tonsillitis. Over the course of half a year, my brother visited Core Physicians off and on for months and was misdiagnosed. After receiving little to no care after many months, my mom called and complained and was told by the Nurse Practitioner, Shelly, to "relax" and that he only had a "sore throat." After taking him elsewhere (Urgent Care), my brother was diagnosed with tonsillitis and had to get his tonsils removed immediately. On the topic of misdiagnosis, I, myself, was misdiagnosed after getting several allergy blood tests done. Instead of sending me my results, Core Physicians called me over the phone, and left me a message with my results, which were read incorrectly. They told me I had a "gluten intolerance" when in actuality I had Celiac Disease. I had to request for the physical results to be sent to me, which were 6 pages of information. Do not waste your time here as they do not care about the well-being of there patients, or anyone for that matter. I could go on and continue the list the horrible work they do here at Core Physicians, but I think you get the picture. My family and I are currently in the process of finding another office. read more
