I can go to the gym 2-3 times a week, but I have trouble sticking to the same regimen simply because: I get bored and I don't see results. What I find most exciting about ILoveKickboxing, is that every class is different, but delivers the same amazing results because it's always a full body workout (working muscles I didn't even know I had)! I've been an athlete my entire life and this is hands down the hardest yet most rewarding workout EVERY TIME!! I really enjoy that modifications can be made to personalize the workout to expedite achieving individual goals (i.e. you can add/subtract/ change certain circuits to accommodate the body part you want to work on). ILKB has a wonderful family dynamic which is demonstrated by the instructors, who care about each individual member. They all know your name and when you begin, they ask what goals you'd like to achieve. I also appreciate the accountability - if you ask them to hold you responsible to attend a certain class or on certain days of the week, they will text/email you to remind and motivate you! And if you miss a few days or weeks, they will check on you. I also enjoy the Facebook group as it creates a sense of friendship and community, but also is a place to showcase results, tips, and pictures taken during classes on "Flex Fridays" or "Thigh Thursdays" etc. There are also different contests hosted each month to keep everyone motivated. I did not intend to lose weight when I started ILKB, I just wanted to stick to a routine, strengthen my muscles, and gain confidence in myself (especially in regard to self-defense). Since I began 3 months ago, I have lost 10 pounds, toned every muscle in my body, and gained a new-found self-confidence I have never experienced before. I've noticed my endurance, energy, strength and appetite have all increased in positive ways. I am way more conscious about what I put into my body now I know how hard it is to burn it off! And I only go 2-3 times a week, imagine what going 3+ times a week can do for you! I highly recommend joining ILKB as you truly do join a family, not just a gym. ANDREA is the owner at ILKB Gonzales. She is very passionate about helping others make lifestyle changes. Andrea is always willing to motivate us to push harder. She celebrates our accomplishments and encourages further growth. AUDREY is perky, funny and engaging. She somehow manages to smile and flash those dimples while loudly reminding us that "it burns because it's working". Classes at ILKB Gonzales are exciting anytime Audrey is involved. GENA is absolutely hilarious. Her random dance moves are always entertaining during class sessions at ILKB Gonzales. Gena is extremely energetic and her smiles are truly contagious. I think her second calling should be "Princess Flight Attendant Extraordinaire"; because she knows how to work the room with a headset. JA'MEA is very enthusiastic about kickboxing. LAURIE always strives for perfection and she is determined to teach us how to be our best. She uses expressions like "smash the bug" to help me remember proper form. Laurie's style of instruction is intense and effective. Her commitment towards helping others shines thru in all that she does at ILKB Gonzales. MEGAN is surely the "Queen of Burpees". She is 100% dedicated to helping others reach their goals. Megan is very approachable, patient and shows compassion for all skill levels. She is always willing to listen and offer useful advice. Got in on the special opening deal and was contacted to schedule my first class. The owners and instructors were very welcoming and friendly. I was guided through a small tour of what we would be doing in class and what they were about. Then class started and it was so much fun! Did a bit of cardio to warm up then began some kickboxing techniques. I've done kickboxing classes at other gyms before, but I love this so much more better!!! I got free PINK gloves and got to punch and kick an actual punching bag rather than just the air. The instructors were very helpful in teaching each of us how to properly punch and kick to avoid injuries. They were very motivating and great! I'm glad I signed up! I was looking for a workout my husband and I could do together and this is definitely it! From the moment we walked through the doors, you could tell the instructors genuinely care and are supportive. The instructors make it a point to know who every person in class is. If they haven't seen you in a while, they will check on you. It's nice to be held accountable! They have a HIIT warmup which is challenging yet beneficial and then we get some bag work after stretching and finish with partner workouts. The instructors help teach you technique and areas to work on! It's very high energy with upbeat music and even better instructors! My friend ranted and raved about this workout she was doing and invited me. I was a bit reluctant; she saw results, still I was skeptical. Guess what? I got tired of the same old and decided I wanted something different. I knew I needed to start an exercise plan but I also knew I needed something to keep me motivated. I decided to give kickboxing a try. I'm hooked! I am having too much fun to think of it as just exercise. Don't get me wrong, the workout is tough and I am sweaty and tired by the end of the class, but I feel great both physically and mentally. I love kickboxing is awesome. The staff is so friendly and motivates you to do your best. The staff takes the time and welcome you to the class. Everyone is just so welcoming there. They show you step by step how to do it and demonstrates and actually wokout with you. I am so excited to go because every class is different than the one before. You work at your own pace and do what you can. I love this place and everything about it. Everyone is there for a common goal... To help YOU feel better about YOU. There are people there all ages, sizes, shapes, health conditions and your workout is modified just for you. I started ILKB during the COVID pandemic and I'll admit I was a little nervous but the team has been great. They have some great procedures in place to help maintain social distancing and cleanliness. It is always clean when you go in and they make sure we disinfect our bags. The team is soo encouraging and they are very lenient with what you can do. I never feel like I am being pushed beyond my limit. They teach an awesome class every time and it is never repetitive. I am always eager to come back and I can't wait to see my results. This is WAAAY better than going to the gym and trying to figure out a routine on your own. read more

I started at I Love Kick Boxing in Gonzales in early May at the suggestion of a friend. I had never done kick boxing in my life. From day 1 the teachers were welcoming and friendly, and didn't make me feel out of place. Ive been going there now for about 5 weeks, between 3-5 times a week and i absolutely love it. Its a great atmosphere with great people who are passionate about being in shape and having a great time with friends. I got more than I bargained for, because every class is different. The instructors are very helpful and even though I'm a beginner they made me feel welcomed.
