I've officially been to all the CP locations around Baltimore and I think the Fed Hill facility may be the nicest. The building itself is very large with great views of the harbor with a very typical hot yoga studio and locker rooms. They have free parking in the lot around back which they share with the medical facility housed in the same building. Parking was ample in the lot during a Sunday 10am yoga sculpt class. Kat, our instructor, had amazing energy. She made the class feel like a big dance party. I felt so energized afterwards! I had a little trouble hearing her at times since she wasn't wearing a head mic and my friend, who hadn't taken a yoga sculpt class in years, said she had trouble following along as a result. Other than that, I had a blast and got in a great sweat! It seems to be a universal truth that all CP locker rooms are annoyingly small and narrow and this one isn't any different. It's nice that they have multiple showers but a little more space in the locker area would be appreciated. At every location I've tried, it's impossible not to get in anyone's way while grabbing your stuff/getting changed. I'm still a CorePower stan though and will continue to come back to try more instructors. read more

I've always been a big fan of Corepower so when I saw they had a late yoga option when I was in town, I decided to give it a shot! If it's your first time here, I would try to arrive a little earlier than usual since it took me 10 minutes to figure out where the studio was! You have to drive to the back of the building in order to park and access it. Once you arrive to the correct parking lot, you will see signs that lead you to the studio itself. The staff were super friendly and nice. They gave us a quick tour of the studio since it was our first time. The class itself was great and had alternative poses to make things easier/harder over rooms were stocked with almost everything you need to freshen up after class. read more

I've been to CorePower many times over the years and most recently came as a friend's guest. It is still one of the best Yoga studios around! Tons of class times and class types, heated options, and all the instructors are extremely talented. I love that all the instructors break down positions, offer different levels of difficulty, and offer hands on assistance (which you can deny!). This location is so convenient with the free parking lot. You can also rent mats. My gym offers yoga so I'm not likely to buy a package at this time but happy to come as a guest and for special events. For anyone looking for a great yoga studio that can be challenging and is always something different - CorePower is the way to go! read more

CorePower is a franchise so it's always the instructor that makes the classes. I love this location even though it's a drive from me and shared building with a hospital. There is ample parking. They have two studios here one for yoga and the other for sculpt classes. Studio 1 has a view of the water and the dominos sugar sign that makes it such an iconic place to practice yoga. The rooms are heated, which is the best. I will say it's not a newer studio so sometimes you see dust bunnies on the ceilings when you're laying in savasana. With a lack of yoga studios in the area - CorePower dominates the scene with three studios in the sixth but it's always a great class! read more

I am currently out of shape, but Staci was great and persistent with helping me get into poses and gave me alternative options l. Her music selection was very soothing which I enjoyed. Everyone who works here is super friendly and patient. All the instructors really take the time to help you improve and also make you feel comfortable in your practice. Every other class I've ever taken presented the instruction as a buffet - take what you want/need, leave what you don't want. Nope, not with Angela S at CorePower Federal Hill. CorePower itself is great, but the Baltimore CPs have a lot to learn from their DC neighbors. Would absolutely avoid this location and any location that Angela S teaches at. The yoga experience was good but the customer service was bad. I was injured by something else after 2 classes in my first month. My doctor told me I could not do yoga for an undetermined time. I asked if I could just pay for the two classes and they told me that I not only had to pay for that month but another month also. I was so disappointed. Interested in trying out CorePower's signature flow my SO and I signed up for a class. We were warmly greeted and guided through the sign-in process. It only took a few minutes and is completely digital making record-keeping a cinch. Initial impressions were positive. Staff were friendly and attentive. There is a small retail section with racks of clothes, yoga gear and accessories. You can see segments of the harbor skyline and iconic Domino Sugar sign through the large windows. I went to change before class and the facilities were practically spotless. Large wooden lockers to safely stow your stuff; you can obtain a lock and key at the front desk should you forget your own. Ample room to change and a wide array of personal care products (mouthwash, lotion, Q-tips, etc) along the sink; all the amenities one would expect at a higher-end studio. The main studio is clean, quiet and dimly lit. It's the kind of space conducive to warming up, focusing on your breath and starting to integrate on your mat. Our instructor was prompt, focused and energetic. She led us through a challenging 'Baptiste Inspired' class with creative sequences and flexibility for those at a variety of levels. Whether you feel like moving into an inversion, holding an Asana or taking a resting posture it's about where you are and what your body is capable of that day. Final verdict. CorePower never disappoints! The studio was bright and cheerful with lots of natural light. Caitlin both checked me in and was my instructor for a 9:30 C2. She was friendly and welcoming. There were four of us in class, so we had plenty of space. Caitlin did a really nice job helping us get centered for class and led us through a great flow; all the time offering little verbal adjustments and pointers to help us get the most out of our movements. She was easy to follow, and kept class moving at a good pace. We had time to hold positions long enough to deepen the stretch and work on challenging ourselves with some variations. This CorePower is great, although my first time there I had a bit of trouble finding the location. Thus, I was a few minutes late and they locked the doors to enter. Otherwise, I've had a great experience. There's free parking in a lot that always has spaces. The instructors are always positive, helpful, and welcoming. Candlelit yoga is always relaxing. C2 poses a bit more of a challenge as well as yoga sculpt as it incorporates weights. read more

I was really excited about a CorePower Yoga coming to Baltimore, since I have heard so many positive things about it from a friend who is a big yogi and also instructor. My first class and experience was great. It was intimate and a kick ass class that gave me an amazing workout and I left feeling great like yoga always makes me feel. However, my second experience was completely awful. I trekked through terrible weather and unreliable public transit to make it to my 12:00 class. Of course the delays of public transit got me to the door at 12:01 instead of 11:45 as originally planned. At 12:01, the studio door was locked. No one at the front desk. I called the studio number (by the way, all calls go to their Denver call center, even though it has a local number listed, which I HATE--obviously the local studio knows and understands much better the goings on of the studio); they said that it is their policy for safety reasons to lock doors at start of class since not many are around the front area during class; at certain times of the day, there is only one person in the studio who is front desk and instructor, and class MUST be started exactly on time. I totally understand and agree that safety should be a top priority, but I raised the point that I have been a member of at least 2-3 other yoga studios (usually small and local), and there is always a front desk greeter there to let you in at least 5-10 min into class. This is a HUGE nationwide studio that charges A LOT of money for classes and membership, and you're telling me you can't get enough staff to have at least one person in the front at all times? I have never been to a studio right at the start of a class time and been denied access. I told the rep that if this is their policy, they should inform their clients when they are signing up for the studio that this is a policy of the studio and you could get locked out for showing up on time and definitely put it on the website. She seemed very unconcerned with my frustration and even said, "Well what am I supposed to do about it?" To which I responded to let someone know my feedback (although I'm not sure how helpful this is). She latently apologized and said, "I guess with our studio, if you're on time you are late, and if you are 5 min early, you are on time." *insert eye roll* Needless to say, I am glad that I was on the two week free trial. The two week free trial is also something you have to keep your eyes on your credit card for, by the way. When I signed up, I was told I wouldn't be charged until after my two weeks was up, however, from the moment I went to my first class, they tried charging my card 3-4 times; luckily the lady who input my card in did something wrong because it wouldn't go through. The customer care rep emailed me about it, I told her about my bad experience and desire to cancel; she responded promptly, apologized, and put in two free classes on my membership in hopes to change my mind, which I appreciate but doubt I'll use. read more

The instructors seem pretty cool and rather knowledgeable. I tried to attend class at the studio after partaking in 2 free classes at my apartment. Today I have attempted to attend at the studio twice. Both times I arrived 5 minutes early, first for a class at 0600 and the last time for a class at 1630...25 minutes ago. Both times the doors were locked, nobody answered when I knocked, and nobody picked up the phone. You can imagine how frustrated I was to have wasted my time. Despite the desire to utilize this studio I will be taking my business elsewhere due to the amount of time I have wasted trying to figure out the secret knock to get into class. Y'all get two stars because the instructors I met were pretty cool. read more

I LOVE this studio. The instructors are all so friendly and put in a really nice effort to learn your name and remember you - which is great. Also, the classes really kick your butt. I am really serious. Sore for days if you don't go regularly. ( That being said, they have great into classes if you're new to yoga (C1), so don't be discouraged if you don't have much experience. ) The sculpt classes are awesome - great combo of weight lifting and yoga, so you keep moving to music while toning up. This is perfect for someone like me who just doesn't like going to the gym to just pick things up and put them down, but who understands that weight lifting and muscle training is good for your bones, and longevity, and overall health, and yada yada. Andrew and Taylor are my favorite teachers for their energy and challenging, yet manageable classes, but really ALL of them are fantastic and you will NOT be disappointed. The C2 classes are the perfect balance of trying cool new moves, but still working on the basics. The classes really reflect the name of the studio (corepower), as they focus much more on strength, movement, and intention than on stretching and slow modifications. Also, all of the teachers give great modifications so you can go at any level and tailor the class to yourself. This place is not cheap, but it's so worth it. I am a student, and I budget my entire life, but I make this work because it's enjoyable, keeps me in shape, and really gives a balanced and full-body workout. Plus, the company is great if you need to freeze your account (like I did for the past several weeks when I was out of town) so you can save that money when you can't go. Would highly recommend - if you're on the fence, stop by for a free 1st week (new members), meet the staff, and get hooked. read more

I have been having a litany of injuries from a lot of sports that i play, a by product of age possibly or whatever aligning problems i may have. Enter yoga, i have contemplated this for a couple of months, never done yoga, at the same time it wont hurt right. Anyhow, i knew about core power because i see it all the time on my way to spin, there was a yelp event there (didnt go), and they had a 7 day free trial. I took up the offer, and stepped in for a teacher in training. Probably the most relaxed exercise i have had in a while, i am so sold even after 1 class. Yeah, i didnt know a lot of the postures etc, but the instructors and people were so kind and gentle. I intend to go there quite a bit, because as i said it cant hurt, and i think my body will benefit tremendously from this. read more

I go to the Sculpt classes 4-5x a week. I got the student deal which is totally worth it, especially if you go frequently! I've been coming here for a few months now. I used to go to the Core Power Yoga in Minneapolis Minnesota before I moved here, and this one is just as awesome. The teachers are all so friendly and very welcoming. They make sure to know participants by name. I haven't gone to any of the non-Sculpt classes, so I can't comment on those, but the Sculpt class is such a killer work out. They are taught by different instructors every night of the week, but overall the classes, difficulty, routines etc are all consistently excellent. I usually go to Ciara/Alexa/Jenna/Elyza's classes and they are all amazing. The music is pretty decent, although I love when they mix it up and play a diverse genre set of songs. One of the instructors dedicated her playlist to the "Olympics" and it was very international, so it was fun to see them change it up. I am so excited they are opening a new studio in Brewers Hill/Canton - now I don't have to drive across the city in the middle of traffic to make it to class (even though the 30 minutes drive was still worth it)! The studio manager Ciara is opening that studio and will be the manager there- I am pumped she will still be teaching some of my classes because she was great! read more

I'm so glad there is a CorePower Yoga in Baltimore! Two years ago, when I used to live near DC, I went to the Bethesda studio all the time for almost a year before I moved here. I really like the consistency in the quality of the studios and the challenge level in the classes. Also, the parking situation is so wonderful at this studio!! Free parking lot- I have never had issues finding a space. (Bethesda CorePower clients know the struggle with finding spaces in that small garage). Also, the entrance/parking lot to CorePower is on the side of the building opposite to Key Hwy. I am a huge fan of the Yoga Sculpt and C2 classes. Yoga Sculpt is one my absolute favorite challenging workout. You'd be surprised how heavy a 5 lb weight can feel. The room is hot and slightly humid. It's not everyone's thing. There's also no shame in stepping out of the room for a few seconds to cool yourself down. The sequence does an excellent job warming up your body and stretching/cooling your body down. There's about 5 minutes of straight cardio in the middle of class. You're going to do a lot of push ups, and if you keep going to this class, you will be a push up master! After I do this class about 4-5 times a week for a whole month, I always seen significant difference in how toned my arms are, and my boyfriend gets jealous of them. The teachers play great playlists that keep the class fun and motivating. The music is a big reason why I love working out at CorePower! My favorite sculpt teachers are Taylor, Andrew, and Cara! The locker room and showers are kept very clean. I love being able to shower there and get ready for my day in the morning. Also, an earlier review griped about them locking the doors right when a class starts. Yeah, they do that most of the time, and it's a bummer. I know from past experiences at the Bethesda studio, if I call them ten minutes before a class knowing I'll be late, they would keep the door unlocked. Otherwise, just show up on time or take another class that day. They offer so many classes at different times. If you are at all interested in checking it out, do the free trial and try out as many classes as you can! read more

I can't believe I rushed out of work so I could get to Petvalu to volunteer early, rode the circulator, then walked 10 blocks for that. I even had responded yes on this event page. The instructors at the Federal Hill location have all been so fun and encouraging. The sculpt class has been life changing and just what I needed to add into my weekly routine. Definitely glad that corepower is here in Baltimore! It's a much needed studio, especially with the other corepowers in the DC area. I went to the glow flow sculpt class on New Years Eve, which happened to also be their opening day. Very nice studio! It has all the amenities and interior decoration that you would expect of all the corepower yogas. So lockers (bring your own lock), some toiletries, showers (bring your own towels), etc. There is free parking, which is a definite plus, given how saturated the area can be at times. There are two studios as well, so once everything is fully up and running, I'm sure there will be lots of class options. One thing I noticed and really liked was that there were a few teachers attending this class from the DC area corepower studios and I really like the unity and camaraderie displayed. It's nice that they showed up to support this new studio, especially since their drive was likely at least 45 min to get to Baltimore. They also had champagne and strawberries after class as a celebration for opening day. My only complaint is that the instructor didn't have proper form when demonstrating some of the exercises. However, she was obviously very excited and enthusiastic about teaching the first day that I think she just got wrapped up in the excitement. I think they are offering a reduced fee for the next week or so for black tag membership as a "founding member" and I would totally sign up here if I weren't already a member and local. Overall, I'm very impressed and pleased with this studio and can't wait to see it grow! read more

Been going for about a month now. Really friendly staff and cute yoga attire. You get your first week for free and can buy classes instead of membership. I am doing an intense training program through them. They also have free classes by the ppl trying to be certified. I give it 4/5 because yoga memberships in general are an insane price. Either way- they have an awesome hot yoga class that's a good flow and only hour long. Their basic c1 class isnt hot but it's a lot of stabilized exercises that def give you a good work out.
