When I told her that she was hurting me, instead of adjusting or showing concern, she became defensive and asked if I wanted her to stop cleaning my teeth altogether. That was never the issue -- I simply wanted her to be more gentle and considerate. I've always been someone who enjoys going to the dentist and taking care of my teeth, so this experience was honestly upsetting. Ashley made me feel uncomfortable for the remainder of the appointment, and the overall atmosphere felt rushed and dismissive. She didn't even offer a fluoride treatment at the end, which is normally part of my visits. I would never want someone else to go through the discomfort and attitude I experienced during this appointment. This visit gave me a new understanding of why some people dread going to the dentist.
