Chase was dying from cancer and needed a special touch of love and care that boarding couldn't offer. I asked my vet at Jolly Pond for suggestions, and she highly recommended Susan and her staff. After meeting Susan and seeing her interact with my sweet boy, I knew I could leave confident that Chase was in the best possible care. That was only confirmed upon my return. If that wasn't enough, Susan made it a point to call me after Chase passed away to offer the most sincere condolences and sympathies. The staff at Bubble Buddies don't just run the routine of pet care, they really care about the pet and family too. They always go above and beyond. Now, two years later, I am happy to say I still use Bubble Buddies to help care for my 16mo. old Boxer mix, Harley Quinn. Anytime my work schedule or traffic has cause me to run late getting home to her, or I needed to leave town for work or family reasons, Susan has always taken my call and come to our rescue to ensure Harley was well tended to until I could get home. I really don't know what I would do without Bubble Buddies!!!

Told another vet would able to briefly see me. I was worried about two lesions on his leg especially because he had had resection of mast cell tumor..rapidly growing cander. She said lesions too small for needle aspirate. They could not do full exam b/o his resistance. Told to return in two wks after ATB cream to lesions. I was charged for full exam. I returned in 2 weeks and had sedated him per their instructions. He had developed an additional diverse masses. They told me the vet couldn't talk with me that day (too busy) and that new lesions had not been evaluated. Also exam of mouth and orthopedics (he has crushed rt front elbow and partial CCL tear on rear) were not completed. Told I needed to wait on standard blood work which does not have cancer markers or anything to do with mouth or joints. Long story but apparently they have become too busy to do paid for exams or talk with owners.

I stopped in primarily to view the cat room. I had heard about this store from the Virginia Cat…read moreFestival last fall, and was curious to check them out while in the area. Before entering the cat area, a friendly worker had us sign electronic waivers. There were plenty of places to sit and toys to play with the cats from Heritage. I will say it wasn't my favorite cat room, however, as it didn't feel ventilated at all and it smelled strongly. I think perhaps if they add some air flow or clean the litter boxes more often that could help. The cats themselves were cute and I was very tempted to adopt Loodles, specifically! Precious girl. Once I was finished in the cat area, I stepped back into the shop and browsed. I saw a cute treat dispenser, so I purchased that along with a catit fountain. I haven't tried the fountain yet, but I did notice that it was $8 cheaper than I paid at other retailers, so that was pretty disappointing. I'm just chalking it up to supporting a small business. Hopefully the cats like it, as they ignored the last fountain I purchased! My orange does love the treat dispenser and has largely figured it out, so that's been a success. They also had some cute toys, and I bought a little birthday cake toy that I gave to one of my cats on his birthday about a week back. He's still playing with it, so that's a good sign! Overall, I think this is a great space that could be excellent with a few tweaks. I appreciate what they do to help pets.

Be wary of one lady in there too that they hired, idk what her name is but she certainly has a discriminatory view on properly bred dogs which irritated me, basically blaming proper breeders for the issues in shelters instead of backyard breeders and ignoring the fact that pitbulls cause over 60% of fatalities every single year calling "German shepherds more dangerous than pitbulls" just because of the bite psi.. they are third on the listen karen, get it right, if ur gonna argue about something like that and be in the shelter business maybe you should properly research facts like that instead of spreading misinformation through your "agree to disagree" idiocy. It's sucks cuz I like this place to peak in like twice a year and see if they have anything new and cool for my dog to try out but instead I'm met with pitbull apologists not once but twice now. Owner needs to do a better job in who they hire. Will be buying stuff when possible online and through other small businesses now instead of this place.
