Awesome new wine bar in Pagosa! They offer a really extensive selection of wines by the glass, and have some of the best white wines I have ever tried. My fiancé and I both enjoy wine and have been to many wine bars all over. This place stands out in both selection and service. If you have people in your party that prefer something other than wine they also had a good selection of Colorado beers and non alcoholic options. We both started with the ABC wine flight (I got the white, he got the red) and both really enjoyed them. We also ordered the classic board - highly recommend! The portions were generous and the selection of meats and cheeses were excellent, especially the Spanish chorizo. After we finished our flights, Bob, the resident "wine guy", chatted with us about their selection and even gave us a few samples to try before deciding which glass to order. I had previously thought I was an ABC (anything but Chardonnay) gal, but had my mind completely changed by the ZD Chardonnay. If you enjoy white wines but usually steer clear of Chardonnay give this one a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed. We also chatted with Sarah, the GM, and the owner during our time there. Both were clearly extremely passionate about creating a great local spot that added something new to the Pagosa area. Overall, the attention to detail in the selection of the wine list and items selected for their boards really makes this place stand out to me as a top tier wine bar. My fiancé even said "I just want to take a picture of the menu because I know anything on it will be good." The passion for creating a great experience also really sets this place apart from others to me. Highly recommend chatting with Bob if you are interested in wines or just want to try something new! We will definitely be back in!

Had the best evening at this quant little restaurant. Great people, great music and great food. Enjoyed both the classic charcuterie board and the caprese skewers. Had the Zinfandel flight. Great choice and the bartenders know their wines. Definitely a must go.

My Husband and I were looking for a place to relax and have a glass of wine before to go for dinner later. So we googled and trust me it was exactly what we were looking for . The place is so cozy and homey . Sarah welcomed us with open arms and a beautiful smile. She really made sure that we felt comfortable as we were in here house for a drink as she said . We had the chance to meet the owner Scott and Bob as he called himself Bob the wine guy Both were amazing. Definitely we will stop by again in the near future . But the way The wine selection and board cheese and food was great. If you are looking for a place to relax and chill out while sometimes interact with other clients that share the same feeling this is The Place

We spent such an enjoyable afternoon at cork and board today. The space is absolutely lovely and everyone we met was so very out going and friendly. I loved visiting with Sarah and hearing her story. And let me tell you about the wine and the board we had. Phenomenal. They have done an amazing job procuring just the right elements for their boards. Sarah asked me for a couple of descriptor words for the type of wine I enjoyed and brought me the perfect glass! This is a definite must do when in Pagosa Springs.

The beer work is shrinking. Some this is the result of over-saturation, and the reality that you…read morecan no longer expect local craft beer to be worth the price. Not so with Riff Raff. Every single beer on tap was quality. Even if the style wasn't your favorite, it was still quality. But for for me, I thought every beer was delicious. To tag along, the was also high quality (that goat burger was amazing). I can't finish this without giving a nod to the Service, our bartender, she was great. Finally, I loved the ambiance. It fit the entire vibe and would recommend this to anyone

Last week, my wife, two friends, and I were vacationing in Pagosa Springs for the first time. We…read moreabsolutely fell in love with the town. The scenery, the weather, and the overall atmosphere were incredible. On July 9th, we decided to have dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio. We were told the wait could be up to an hour, so we told the hostess we'd gladly take the first available table. We ordered drinks at the outdoor bar while we waited, and I want to specifically recognize the bartender, who provided outstanding customer service and made us feel welcome. Ironically, we were called much sooner than expected, but that's when our experience took a disappointing turn. When we returned to the hostess stand, we politely asked if we could be seated outside since the weather was beautiful and the live band was fantastic. I'm not sure what about that request upset the hostess, but her attitude changed immediately. Without saying a word, she turned around and walked away. She never told us to follow her or asked us to wait. We were left standing there wondering what we were supposed to do. A few moments later, we walked outside and saw her throwing menus onto a table. She never acknowledged us or indicated that it was our table. We assumed it was and sat down, but the entire interaction was uncomfortable and unnecessarily rude. My friend even went over to the hostess to apologize in case we had somehow offended her, making it clear that upsetting her was never our intention. She never acknowledged the apology, nor did she apologize for the way she had treated us. We decided to continue with our meal, and before bringing up the issue, I wanted to make sure our food had arrived so it wouldn't affect our server or the kitchen. Afterward, I asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, that conversation was just as disappointing. Rather than apologizing for the hostess's behavior, he immediately defended it by saying she was only 16 years old and that it's difficult to find good help. While I understand that young employees are still learning, age is not an excuse for treating customers disrespectfully. More importantly, leadership should model accountability. A simple, sincere apology would have gone a long way. Instead, the manager became defensive. Later, he returned and told me he had comped 50% of my meal which, ironically, was just a kid's grilled cheese and fries. The discount completely missed the point. I wasn't looking for free food, nor did I ask for a discount. I would have gladly paid the full bill. What I wanted was accountability, professionalism, and the basic courtesy of acknowledging that our experience was handled poorly. Everyone has bad days. I truly believe that. But customer service isn't measured when everything goes right; it's measured by how problems are handled when something goes wrong. In this case, both the hostess and the manager failed. It's unfortunate because the location is beautiful, the food was good, and the bartender was excellent. Those positives were completely overshadowed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. We absolutely plan to return to Pagosa Springs because it's a wonderful place. However, we will not be returning to Riff Raff on the Rio, nor could I recommend it based on our experience. I genuinely hope the restaurant takes customer service more seriously in the future, because a beautiful location alone cannot overcome poor hospitality. Please do better, Riff Raff.

We started with the salads, which were phenomenal- absolutely huge portions and incredibly fresh. The pizza itself was spectacular. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy, the service was impressively quick and attentive, and the environment was great to hang out in. Our server was great in taking our orders and checking on us, but to get the check on the other hand, that took a while. Onto the food. Our order got mixed up a bit. We got one pizza placed in front of us that wasn't ours, the other that got dropped off someone at my table didn't notice and started eating it. Then our original order was brought. Long story short we had a bunch of left overs. I personally got a calzone that was amazing and the size portion was huge. This is a pet friendly location so they have outdoor seating and sliding garage doors that can be closed. Overall it was a great feel to it. And we would def come back for more.
