Awesome new wine bar in Pagosa! They offer a really extensive selection of wines by the glass, and have some of the best white wines I have ever tried. My fiancé and I both enjoy wine and have been to many wine bars all over. This place stands out in both selection and service. If you have people in your party that prefer something other than wine they also had a good selection of Colorado beers and non alcoholic options. We both started with the ABC wine flight (I got the white, he got the red) and both really enjoyed them. We also ordered the classic board - highly recommend! The portions were generous and the selection of meats and cheeses were excellent, especially the Spanish chorizo. After we finished our flights, Bob, the resident "wine guy", chatted with us about their selection and even gave us a few samples to try before deciding which glass to order. I had previously thought I was an ABC (anything but Chardonnay) gal, but had my mind completely changed by the ZD Chardonnay. If you enjoy white wines but usually steer clear of Chardonnay give this one a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed. We also chatted with Sarah, the GM, and the owner during our time there. Both were clearly extremely passionate about creating a great local spot that added something new to the Pagosa area. Overall, the attention to detail in the selection of the wine list and items selected for their boards really makes this place stand out to me as a top tier wine bar. My fiancé even said "I just want to take a picture of the menu because I know anything on it will be good." The passion for creating a great experience also really sets this place apart from others to me. Highly recommend chatting with Bob if you are interested in wines or just want to try something new! We stopped by at cork & board right when they opened today. We had walked by and were lured in by the Frose' sign an hour before they opened and we came back. The small plates we had were awesome. It was a great experience--we had our very hot furry kids out on the patio and they were treated to huge water dishes! When we come back to Pagosa we will definitely come by again. What a great addition to Pagosa Springs! As a wine collector I was excited to see a wine bar downtown and dropped in to check it out. The wine list is well thought out and contains some interesting wines and flights. I started with the cotes du rhone at Bob's suggestion. It was a beautiful, silky wine. My second choice was a cool climate shiraz from a producer I had not heard of. Also a great choice. The atmosphere is casual with tables/chairs and some comfortable soft chairs for lounging. A guest musician was in the house playing soft guitar music. I did not eat anything but the lunch menu looks good and several people were enjoying charcuterie that evening. I spent some time speaking with Bob about this wine choices and sources (he has 30 years in the wine industry). Both proprietors (Scott and Jennifer) came over to check on me and make sure I was happy. I very much enjoyed speaking with them and learning about how this concept came to be. My Husband and I were looking for a place to relax and have a glass of wine before to go for dinner later. So we googled and trust me it was exactly what we were looking for . The place is so cozy and homey . Sarah welcomed us with open arms and a beautiful smile. She really made sure that we felt comfortable as we were in here house for a drink as she said . Quite an addition to Pagosa Springs. Large selection of wines by the glass. 3 and 6 ounce pours and bottles. Flights of three wines are a bargain. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Learned so much. Very High quality ingredients on the charcuterie boards, well thought out offerings. Even a butter board. Remodeled house on Main Street, patio as well. Seating for all size of group.
