So we came in with a group of 8 and some very busy kids who just finished up a two day drive from Texas. Our waitress was extremely kind and always willing to get whatever we needed as we visited and enjoyed our food. Everything we ordered was delicious. The appetizers , loaded fries and fried green tomatoes, were excellent. EXCELLENT the chicken bruschetta, ribeye, chicken fettuccini, hamburgers--all were delicious! Nothing was a disappointment. I also enjoyed the blueberry mule and ginger beer. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because several of their items were not available to order because they ran out and that disappointed our guests from out of town-they are on a strict diet and wanted salmon . (I also would suggest they have a kids menu available since the portions are so large...even though I understand that isn't the clientele they're trying to appeal to.) The Lobster and Crab mac and cheese was phenomenal as well as the bread pudding!!!!! This place was incredible! We were a party of 12 here for a graduation lunch, and every single plate was eaten to completion. Every one of us had amazing things to say about this place. The owner was nothing but joyful and welcoming as was the staff. All of the entrees were spectacular and well seasoned. The deserts were perfectly delicious, ALL of them! Today I visited The Cork and Cleaver on Zelda Rd. For brunch. The service was average, nevertheless, I paid for my service and left.  Shortly, the waitress followed me to my car and said some disrespectful remarks. I felt in danger. I went back in the establishment to discuss her harassment to management. The manager on duty did nothing but insinuate I was at fault because I chose not to tip. In fact, the waitress chose to defend herself in the moment. I have never in my life experience such a traumatic moment with ignorance and lack of business ethical and moral standards. All I wanted was an apology for her unprofessional and unsafe behavior. read more

I keep going back for the happy hour. Half price appetizers are a crazy win!!! I love the old bay fries. I'm from the north coast and think they do a great job. The shrimp and grits seem a little over priced but the flavor is worth the splurge. The tap selection changes so much that you have to visit regularly if you want to do flights of some amazing varieties. I hope if they ever remodel they consider adding a fire place. The $32 wagyu sirloin literally was the toughness that I expect from walmart and lower quality establishments. I only give 1 star because the chicken on my sandwich was good. Service was terrible!!!! He definitely doesn't understand when you ask for salt or ranch, you want it now, or when your glasses are empty, they need to be refilled. We had to send our loaded fries back due to nasty cheese sauce that wasn't specified on menu. When we asked them to remake the fries, we were told "thats the way they're supposed to be". I had a chicken sandwich that come with lettuce. When it came out with one little piece of lettuce, I asked for more lettuce. They literally gave me one more little piece of lettuce. The waitor and cooks were talking about us where we could hear which is very rude. Stay clear of this place. read more

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience as we celebrated my husband's graduation. Getting reservations for a party of 14 on a Friday at 5 pm was easy and pleasant. They opened the doors for us and seated us promptly, even patiently bearing with the latecomers because of inclement weather. I asked if we could put up a balloon banner on the wall and they were so accommodating to lend us tape to put it on there. As far as the food, everything we ordered was promptly served and tasted great. Everyone had a great meal and we're very pleased with what they ordered. When they got an order wrong they quickly corrected it. The spinach crab artichoke dip was delicious, as was the loaded potato fries and main course. They had a good variety on their menu and had half priced appetizers til 6. I would return if we lived there and I recommend it to anyone for most any occasion, it's casual but had character. read more

Found this place on yelp heading back from Pensacola. Overall we liked it and the concept. I feel like adding a few small details could greatly improve the experience. My Bloody Mary was average but only 5.00. I had to ask for olives, we all know garnishing is 99% of the Bloody Mary. I had the hash and loved it! I did ask for hot sauce and all they had was Tabasco which isn't my favorite. Potatoes were a little cold/room temperature but that may have been intentional? Husband had the feta spinach and shrimp omelet. He really liked it but the shrimp may have tasted a little off. Overall we liked it and would come back. Horrible experience. Sat at the bar & ordered food to eat in. Ordered 5 drinks between 3 of us. 45 mins later, the food is a no show. After about 30 mins of waiting, we joked with the bar tender about the wait. He joked back but did not check on the food. Come to find out, it was prepared to go & had been sitting for a long time. They said they were going to remake it. Angrily, we canceled the order & paid for the drinks & left. I asked what was the remedy for this & all they offered was a discount on the COLD FOOD or for us to WAIT AGAIN for the remake. We turned both down but I let them know that they would be getting support from me again & the manager said "sorry about that." I don't think she was sorry, as it's not her business & she's only an employee. Mind you, I've come to this place many times & this occasion I brought a new customer. Welp. The food here is hit or miss. When it's good, it's seriously amazing. But every now and then, it won't be what the menu says, it'll be salty enough to be inedible (even for a salt lover). My biggest complaint is service though. There are a couple of employees who are wonderful, and are quick to greet you, even when they're too busy to immediately get to you. I've worked in the service industry for years--as long as you acknowledge my existence, I'll wait pretty long, and pretty happily. Some struggle with that acknowledgement here. Generally though, when they have time to get to you, they're lovely. I want to support this business. I love a locally-owned gastropub, but I'm hesitant to recommend it when you never know what you're going to get. read more

We drove from Nashville,TN to spend Juneteenth in Montgomery, AL. We were tired and wanted just to grab something to eat and go to our hotel. Well, well... we ended up at C&C. We ordered the Mac n' cheese, Shrimp Tacos, Fried Green Tomatoes. Woooow! We were super happy. The food was absolutely delicious. Don't remember last time l licked my fingers or a plate! First time ordering placed order on line through grub hub..drove all the way from Birmingham .. did a timed order and got there a little early food was waiting and cold ..I should have checked my order because it was also missing items. Got home called the restaurant and had the hardest time communicating with Chris, explained what happened quite a few times. We gave this restaurant a try for the first time last night. It seemed that the restaurant and staff were very overwhelmed with the restaurants clientele. The staff was extremely nice and apologetic for our long wait and our slow service of food. That within itself meant a lot. However, the food felt rushed and put together. We had the tomato stack with the crawfish which was pretty good but it was way to much remoulade sauce for such a small dish. The old bay fries were very good. I had the ahi tuna nachos which had a wonderful flavor if only I had more tuna instead of bits and pieces. My spouses hamburger according to him was just mediocre. Poorest Service in the area. Made a reservation for 12 people at 6:00pm. Our party arrived on time we ordered and waited 2 hours hours for food. Drinks were slow. Waitress did not even come to the table to check on us while we waited. When asked about the delay we were told by both the waitress and the manager that the delay was because they only had 3 people in the kitchen and that's just the way it is. When we finally got our food it was cold and a majority of our party already left because they were hungry and needed to go elsewhere. Manager never checked on us or gave an apology or anything. I got a table at 1232 and ordered drinks and appetizer. So far so good. When she arrived it was 1234. We ordered drinks and the waitress walked away. I called her back for our order, confused how she didn't ask about taking them. Orders were taken and we waited. And waited. And waited. After 45 minutes of waiting (she had to be back at 1330) I asked about our food. The waitress said they had a large party that took priority. I promptly paid for the appetizer and left. As for my experience, we called ahead and were told that we couldn't make a reservation, so the wait was long (45-60 min) for our party of 10. Absolutely amazing food and reasonably priced. I can't enough good things about the tasty dishes. My husband got the kale and avocado salad with a lemon vinaigrette and I got the wedge salad with salmon. Delicious! And the staff were very friendly! Good food but EXTREMELY LOUD! Wife and I came here to relax after work and can't hear each other at all. Description says moderately noisy which is incorrect. I have hearing aids turned all the way up with crowd noise filters and have to read her lips. People are yelling to be heard.
