Really cool wine shop with really cool wine. Service is amazing and they know their wines so we got good recommendations. Mainly natural and organic wines and plenty of outdoor seating. They even have food trucks outside as well and fun events throughout the week. I went when there was a jazz trio band performing. Definitely a chill spot to relax and share a bottle of wine.

This place has such a chill vibe! It's perfect for a date, hanging with friends, or showing visitors. The backyard has hanging lights which create a very chill ambiance at night. There are a variety of sitting spaces as well, depending on your group size which is convenient. On top of that, they have a solid selection of wine overall. The highlight though is definitely the employees. There were three people working that night and they were all helpful and ridiculously kind. Thanks for making my experience awesome y'all! I 100% recommend this place and will be back soon!

I love this place. The folks who work here are so amazing and love helping you pick your wine. They have a really great selection and I'm sure anyone can find something they like. The location is excellent and you have a few food trailer options in the yard behind the business. They provide Ice buckets and wine glasses so you can sit the back yard here and relax and drink your wine. Sitting and enjoying a nice Sunday with a bottle of wine on their patio is a prefect experience.

Really good wine. Friendly staff. Also the pizza truck on site is great. Beware of flies buzzing around all the tables, that gets annoying.

Very Disappointing Experience…read more I was really looking forward to The Golden Girls pop-up at Wanderlust Wine Company. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I had seen from the pop-ups in other cities. The biggest disappointment was how little there actually was to the experience. The kitchen table wasn't even there. The girls famously gathered around that table eating cheesecake. There were no cheesecake props, which seemed like an obvious and essential part of The Golden Girls experience. Blanche's bedroom was completely outside in a completely different building, which made the whole setup feel disconnected. Even the wall phone, which was supposed to have the girls talking did not provide the experience I had seen from Instagram reels from other cities. Then came the cocktails. At $16 each, I expected them to at least be made correctly. My Blanche Devereaux cocktail was made with club soda instead of Sprite. Club soda tastes like Alka-Seltzer. I had to ask for a different drink. The second cocktail, The Dorothy, was made with Prosecco and unfortunately wasn't good either. Even the one lady sitting at this isolated bar with me said her drink was bad too. They double charged me. Which is another major issue. My ticket was $23.34 including taxes and fees and the complimentary drink was supposed to be included, with only a one-cent charge when I arrived. Instead, I was charged an additional $23.08, including $11.54 for the drink that was supposed to be included in the ticket price. Is there an explanation? Will this be corrected? My credit card company has already been notified. But what a hassle I have to go through. Just scan my QR code, and don't charge me .01 cent. I paid my ticket and "free" drink. Also as a solo guest, I was also extremely uncomfortable with where I was seated. I was placed away from everyone else at a very narrow bar along the wall, completely isolated from the rest of the group. Honestly, it felt like being sent to the kids' table at Thanksgiving--off in another room away from the adults. It was humiliating and made an already disappointing experience even worse. The entire experience amounted to roughly 15 minutes of taking a few pictures, drinking a poorly made cocktail, and leaving. For what I paid and what was advertised, I expected something much more immersive and fun. I couldn't wait to leave. Thank God I didn't pay for parking. I'm extremely disappointed. I went in excited to celebrate one of my favorite shows and left feeling like I had wasted my time and money. Based on this experience, I would not return to Wanderlust Wine Company.

I'm a hard-core red drinker and BOXT has sold me on A WHITE! Today it was hand-delivered to my home. I received a text the day before with a very specific time (12:43) when my wine would be delivered, +/- 30 minutes.  Crazy! Not 12:45; not 12:40. The driver texted me he was on his way and then I was sent a tracking link. They have deliveries down tight. The delivery driver was friendly and told me about my wine when he handed it over. When I mentioned I can't recall which red I like, he tried to help me figure it out. Talk about service! Also, when asked, told me he really loved his job. I have no doubt! I am sold on this fabulous, Austin-based, woman-owned business.  Please support BOXT!

All the wines are made from 100% Texas grown grapes by a Texas native, Randy Hester (from Houston maybe?), who started as an intern at Cakebread Cellars in Napa. You can order by the glass or opt for a tasting. They do a great job catering to your palette and will customize the tasting most of the time. If you're driving to Fredericksburg or Georgetown for your wine membership pick ups, I highly recommend going in for a tasting here. I'd be surprised if you didn't decide to switch. They also have great member events pretty regularly. The atmosphere inside is very relaxed. It's like a little cool oasis (especially during the summer). Really, besides the wine, which speaks for itself, the staff make this place. They're knowledgeable and they all are pretty passionate about the wine. Parking is easy most days and the Yard offers some options for food that you can have brought in to you (or you can grab and bring in) or order a cheese board with your wine. Overall, 10/10 would recommend!

This place is owned by a husband and wife team, they do some demos on Thursdays, offer a rewards program and they have a great selection. They also have three locations, the largest being on N. Pleasant Valley Rd. I thought I would add some additional specifics and photos that add to the insight of this place. This place is in an old cinderblock building that is accessible from just one side of Airport Boulevard. From the outside, it looks like an old decaying convenience store complete with burglar bars and an ice machine outside. There's less than 10 spots to park at in their potholed small lot. Once inside, it's a whole new world. There are things here that you don't normally find anywhere else and they're not shy about spending big money on their inventory in the way of upscale wines and liquors. They make great use of the 1200 ft.² interior through great merchandising and selection. It's small, but it's packed to the ceiling with a very diverse offering. The wine selection is smaller than the liquor selection, but you will find wines from Serbia, Austria and Europe. They have Japanese whiskeys, soju, Dom Perignon, single malts, mixers and a handful of sherrys and ports. There's also a display case filled with bar instruments and accessories. Behind the checkout, you'll see one of the best selection of bitters that you'll ever see and they do offer single shot bottles. They have a good selection of cold wine, some seltzers, and even a decent yet small selection of local craft beer. Prices here are just slightly above the big box retailers, but they are not overpriced and everything is priced on top of the bottle. I did purchase two bottles of European wine and a bottle of Aperol. Unfortunately, when I opened one of the wines it was undergoing a secondary fermentation and some of the vintages weren't exactly current, so in future I'll stick with their liquor offerings. The photos and videos should be enough to get you through the door.
