The weather did not cooperate. It was hot, but this Arts Festival is impressive. It covers 5 city blocks with many vendors selling their craft pieces, paintings, scented candles, copper garden ornaments, wooden hand-carved household items, and many more. There are food trucks with a wide variety of choices. It is the largest Art Festival I have visited. Quite impressive. I hope the vendors did well in their sales. read more

Very fun festival in a beautiful neighborhood. My first time visiting was cut short due to the rain. When we arrived volunteers were passing out maps and available for questions. We were able to get in just in time to stop at a few vendors and purchase some hand made goods. The food truck area was set up with plenty of options and seating areas. Inflatable courses and bounce houses were also set up for the kids. We tried the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck which had a very long line. We used the mobile app to save time. Expensive but consistent with what I've paid for lobster rolls at a dine in restaurant. The roll was delicious and well worth the cost. read more

This art festival is huge! 5 city blocks with vendors selling paintings, all kind of candles, wooden and copper ornaments and so much more. Around the circle, sort of in the middle of the festival was a variety of food trucks and food vendors with live music in the gazebo. read more

I'm glad I finally got to come back for a proper visit it's been about ten years since I was last here. Rochester is known for its festivals, mostly because the weather is only nice for a few months out of the year, so we take full advantage of it. Seriously This area is historic and full of beautiful old homes. The art is pretty good and there's something for everyone. You'll also find live music, food trucks, and more. Parking is either on the street or in nearby lots where you can pay. Definitely worth checking out! The festival usually happens the weekend after the Fourth of July. read more

Corn Hill is my favorite summer festival in ROC! It is incredibly well organized and features a wide mix of artists from all across the country, with a major focus on local artisans. If you're looking for any Rochester gear/decor - this is the festival to attend. Beyond just the art, there's a ton of food options, a beer and wine tent, vendors for everything form spice mixes to wine slushies, AND the neighborhood volunteers are all over the place to point you in the right direction. I love the Corn Hill neighborhood and every time I attend this fest, I get sad that I don't do more exploring on the west side of the river. This year, the festival also featured a fairy house tour - which is awesome for both kids and parents alike. Art ranges from the highest end all the way down to $5 prints, so there is really something for everyone and a lot of ways to provide support to artists. I can't recommend this fest enough. If you only make it out to one festival each season, this would be my pick. read more

This festival is a gem, always occurring the weekend that follows the 4th of July. Parking is always tight, but we bit the bullet, and paid the $5 to park near the U of R trails in a church lot. Approaching the festival is the main park circle, where they featured wine tastings, and live music. The ESL Banking tent was providing free face painting for kids in the center as well. On the left hand side, they began to have some food vendors, that branched all the way down to an open area with many more food choices, a large tent for seating, and activities for children (bounce houses, ropes courses, etc). If you went right, that is where the many streets filled with vendors began. Crafts, artisans, homemade organic bath products, leather works, garden tools, plants, clothing, spices, and much more. If you aren't into buying kitsch-y festival things, at least go for some inspiration, delicious food, and a little entertaining exercise. One of the features of this year's festival that was unique and enjoyable were the fairy house display. Many entrants participated in a competition, and you were able to vote for your favorite. Hopefully this inspires families to go to Tinker Nature Park, to see the houses in our own local woods. I appreciate that this festival has all of the food, fun, and art while it isn't a drunk fest like Park Ave. Don't get me wrong, Park Ave is a Rochester staple for festival season, but this one is more family/elderly friendly. read more

This has to be one of the best festivals in Rochester! I go every year and am never disappointed. Went yesterday, great arts and crafts, antique car show, easy listening band playing, and the food choices are incredible. Plus it's free, lots of neat houses to see, and if you like to people watch, this is a lot of fun as you get every type of person from all walks of life in Rochester at this festival. Definitely recommend if you're from Rochester or visiting as it's a great way to spend a couple hours. read more

There are few things I love in this world more than the Corn Hill Arts Festival. It's a charming, adorable little neighborhood in a historic section of Rochester and one weekend a year, the streets are shut down and filled to the brim with food and all manner of arts vendors. I love this event so much my husband and I seriously flew three thousand miles to see it this year. The stages scattered throughout the fest feature some of Roch's favorite local bands, and you can find a ton of local deliciousness from Zweigle's hots and Abbott's custard to your standard "Fair Fare" (deep-fried candy bar, anyone?). Always so sad to see the weekend end, can't wait for another year of arts and entertainment! read more

I had never been to the Corn Hill Festival and my boyfriend was raving about it. I loved it! There are sooo many people selling their personally made products. I love that kind of shopping because you know it was hand-made and special. We purchased a few things and everyone was so friendly. It was a great mix of personally made items and typical festival vendors. Loved the food trucks there as well. We grabbed lunch from a few trucks. The kids even had their own area to play and pet animals. There were only camels from what we could see but that makes sense because it was close to 90 degrees. The different live music was pretty fun to listen to. We saw at least three stages. I saw that Yelp was a sponser but never saw them there this year! read more

I go to this festival every year. My daughter lives there and we have a big party. A little hot but a breeze kept it comfortable. Seems like there are many more artists this year and the prices are not crazy expensive. I didn't eat at the food area but there was a lot to choose from. Great music everywhere. Super cute art fest in a cute neighborhood! Better than any art fest we have in Buffalo. Relatively standard fare art work, but a few more unique vendors. I like how things were spaced out too. Not too crowded, at least not perceived that way. I also LOVED that there were several areas with live music and shaded seating. So much appreciated since it was sunny and near 90 on the Saturday that we went. I probably would come back every year, but I would definitely scope it out every few! I used Breanna's tip to park at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and for $5, I don't think we could have been closer! It was perfect. read more

The festival was awesome and the buses were a wonderful asset to the festival to get you to and from your vehicle. The biggest problem that we had and we had the same thing last year when we went, is the fact that my girlfriend is a vegan and there was really nothing for her to eat except it Tom Wahls had a bean burger and that was it. I heard on the radio one time that there was someone that was running a food truck that was vegan and it was supposed to be amazing and I was very surprised that she wasn't there with it at this festival. Not every one in the world is a carnivore like myself of course. But I think the world is changing and people are looking for a healthy alternative and it's just surprising for such an artsy festival for them not to have vegan food for vegans and vegetarians. I have tasted a lot of vegan food and I got to say you will be very surprised and shocked at some of it and if you want to try something really delicious go to the Owl house and have their dessert cake it will blow your mind. read more

This is one of my favorite festivals during festival season in Rochester. I can see where people are coming from when they say "it's not an arts festival" or it's overpriced, etc. Yes, it is more arts and crafts. Yes, some of the items do seem a little pricey. I think that's what it's about. Art is art is art. Everyone has a different perception of art. Corn Hill Arts Festival gives new and seasoned artists a place to showcase their work. Their work is priced on what they feel their value is. As a mom, I like this festival over others like Park Ave. Park Ave has more of a party feel and doesn't seem as family friendly. Corn Hill has local artists, local bands, local food, activities for the kids. It's a great way to spend a Saturday even if you don't buy anything. read more

We parked at a garage near the shuttle stops which came often. The driver we had was very nice. There were large folding signs at intersections with maps of the festival which were a huge help. There was a really nice selection of vendors this year. The food was also well spread out while having a main food area as well. You could get lemonade between vendors and food tents here and there. By the main food area there were also food trucks and covered seating. It wasn't over crowded and the music venues were well spread out so there wasn't clashing sounds. I thought that there were good amounts of seating available for a festival. The only thing I felt that could have been better was the amount of garbage cans. You really had to search for one and that was annoying. But other than that overall I had a really great time. read more

I was disappointed with this festival. When the name says Arts festival I do expect good art. There were few good artists but most of it was crafts. Nothing wrong with that but then call it arts and crafts festival. Most of the stalls were okay, nothing mindblowing. read more

I have been gone from Rochester for 15 years and this event was one that I had missed. Sadly the festival has lost some of it's appeal. It seems smaller with less quality vendors then it used to have. I highly recommend that they shape things up if they want to keep the number of attendees up. read more

It was a great festival this year, almost 400 vendors, food, music, al run by volunteers ! Can't wait for next year, loved seeing the beautiful chalk art- sea turtle made, and Karl typing stories on the typewriter , interactive fun! The fairy house exhibit was fun too! This was a festival that my parents as I would frequent when I was a child. Since then I have moved away, and periodically come back to visit for the festival. The festival has improved a great deal and features some really great artists. It's different from Park Ave in a sense, that it really focuses more on art rather than just partying it up and being drunk. Rochester always has the best festivals and this one in particular features some great craftsmen, food and local bands. read more
