If you don't fill like the street food is your thing most of the restaurants on Park ave have outside seating too. I like to go every year for a nice walk and to check out the local artists all in one area.

Meanwhile, it turns the neighborhood into a zoo with lots of parties with beer pong on lawns and no parking anywhere. I'm told this is a big event, but I wasn't all that impressed with it. Seemed like any street fair anywhere, and nothing special, unfortunately.

I think most people go for the food and watch the dancing for a bit. The church itself is incredible to see, I was amazed at the stained glass windows, and how beautiful it is inside, definitely worth a walk through if you get the chance. The Gyro's I brought home were delicious! I know it's billed as a festival, but I only spent about a 1/2 hour there, If you like Greek food, I recommend, or do take out like me.

Plenty of rides and games available. Local businesses had information booths you could visit and connect with. We also enjoyed the 4H area where all of the animals were on display. The day we came judging had been completed and we were able to see the prize winners. The food vendor selection was your typical fair findings. We enjoyed the birdland popcorn chicken bucket. Huge portion for $10 dollars. We mainly visited for a special fair tasting event: tastes of Wayne county which cost an additional $15 to enjoy. You receive a tasting cup and you could visit as many vendor tables as you like within the closed off area. We ended up purchasing some delicious locally grown popcorn and you could see many attendees leaving with vendor goods.

Parking was not an issue, as there are multiple garages in the area within 5 minute walking distance to the event spaces. Enjoyed seeing packed streets with people enjoying the festivities. Lots of security throughout the event and even had my bag checked as we moved from area to area.

This annual event always brings together the Rochester community. I attended for years and years,…read morealways in awe of the variety of fine arts and crafts, before I realized this is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for the MAG. Knowing my entrance fee helps sustain such a treasure in Rochester motivates me to attend, even on the rainiest of days! This year's event was packed despite the cool damp weather. Artists and buyers filled the grounds, there were food and beverage trucks, Brown Hound had sweets and coffee, several area non-profits had tables set up (good on you MAG for supporting other non profits by offering free table space!!) and the MAG's own Creative Studio was set up outside with demos and opportunities to try your hand at a craft. Parking can be tricky (the MAG's own lots are used by vendors) but there are paid lots and street parking all around; there are entrances into the festival at the corners of University Ave and Goodman Street, and University Ave and Prince Street. The MAG volunteers are efficient and even a long wait line moves fast, especially for MAG members or those who bought tickets in advance inline (highly recommended). I have been a fan of this event for 2 decades and there is always something new and exciting - definitely recommended!!

This arts festival is completely overwhelming in that there's twenty of each thing you could possibly want! Every local artist participates in this fest, and you can find really whatever style you're looking for in whatever medium you're looking for. My purchase this year was an ornament for the Christmas tree, and I saw some other beautiful eye catching works that reminded me of the extreme artistic talent we have in this city. The footprint of the fest stretches really far, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to attend for 2+ hours or more if you're trying to do it all. Food options are all trucks or the brown hound cafe. I enjoyed a delicious blueberry ale from Rohrbach as we walked, and enjoyed the beautiful weather and views. If you've never been to Clothesline, you are missing out!

I think that had a huge impact on the attendance. We did find a parking spot close to the festival but other people had to park way down the road past the bridge to park. The other thing that we noticed was that in the years past they offered little cups of free sauerkraut and we noticed that there weren't any signs stating you could even buy sauerkraut except for one place did did have it but it was hot and my fiance doesn't like hot sauerkraut she likes cold sauerkraut but they didn't have any of that. Also they had in the past cabbage bowling which was kind of fun especially for the kids I didn't see that either. We did spend a lot of money on the quarter game.. to help support the festival. We did purchase a couple of fried doughs also. Then we drove down the road to shortsville and ate at Warfield's and had a fantastic dinner. :-) because unfortunately Phelps hotel is closed..

I love Wickham farms!…read more I've been going here for 4 years and I feel like every year it gets busier (so that does definitely have a downside as the farm and parking lot get full), and they add more cute little things around the farm as well as more events. You're not allowed to bring any food or drinks in, but they now have enough food options that I think most could find something that works for them. The hot foods like burgers are pretty basic and remind me of school lunches, so they're a bit overpriced for what they are. The apple cider shakeups are the best though, and they also have great apple cider donuts and slushy. Highly recommend. Tickets are pretty expensive. If you're an adult without kids, it might be worth it to buy the full ticket pass (for apple picking and the fun farm area) once if you want to check it out, but in general I recommend buying the apple picking ticket only. You get to pick a bag of apples, take some cute pics in some of the areas set up for that purpose, and check out the pumpkins and the store, where you can buy the apple shakeup and donut. In the summer they also have flower picking events and the sunflower spectacular tickets which have also been a great time!

However, I bit the bullet and found the value($23.95 for barnyard tickets and $28.95 including apple picking) to be worthwhile as well as the selection of activities for all ages to be enjoyable. To every member of the staff that we approached, they were all very kind and informative. We got to enjoy the apple cider donuts, apple cider, pumpkin smash, and the ride to the apple orchards. We were surprised to see an event where they drop a large pumpkin high above ground, but it was very cool to watch (and wondered if this was because this was their last weekend of opening!)

I have seen advertisements for this…read moreevent in the past and always thought it looked interesting, so I was really excited to check it out this year. I didn't realize that Maker Faires are a worldwide event. The Rochester Faire featured a ton of local businesses, interest groups, colleges, and more. The Riverside Convention Center was the perfect place, as you could walk through the various rooms and hallways to take in all of the booths without it being too crowded. I mean, it was definitely full of people, but the large space made it more manageable to move around. There was food for sale and many of the vendors were also selling some of their works. I had a great time taking everything in! There were so many different creative things to see, from a puppeteer to robotics groups. My favorite was Save Zigby, which was an escape game created by a 4th grader. It was neat to see so many kids running around and engaging in STEM activities. This was a really fun event and great for families and solo visitors like me. I will definitely return next year!

It was our first time here and there was LOTS to see and do for all ages. Two floors of different stations displaying electronics, robotics, inventions, and all creative and techy things. There were defined areas on the map provided to us that were for kids. Our 3 y/o was glued to the main entrance area at the hands-on tables. We stayed longer than anticipated because there were so many things to check out and thankful of the food trucks parked outside the convention center for a quick lunch. Later on we found a small food area in the back of the first floor, but didn't know until we made our way back there. I suggest leaving the big stroller at home and using a carrier for little ones. Try to get there early for this family friendly event so your kids get a chance at the hands-on stations. I anticipate this event will only get bigger each year!
