When Doctor Jackson was at Cornelia Dental, I would highly rate the practice. However, with Dr. Darren Owen, I would recommend staying away. He contradicts himself from one visit to the next. When you have a serious medical condition, and try to explain the precautions for procedures, he huffs, "It doesn't matter." He didn't even try to help with the reason for my visit on this particular day. All he wanted to discuss was an upcoming procedure, which is not happening with him. He said one thing the first visit and a totally different thing this time. He's all over the place. I will find a kind and competent dentist that listens to medical concerns. And by the way, I have friends and family who have left the practice since Dr Owen took over, because of some of the same things I am sharing now. However, his assistant was a helpful and polite young man. I am blessed to be surrounded by kind, competent and compassionate medical professionals. Unfortunately, Dr (??) I wanted to schedule an appointment with Dr Jackson or Dr Kang since they were recommended to me. Both of them are still showing on their website. When I contacted the office they let me know that Dr Owens is the only dentist that is still there (guess all the other dentists that used to work there left) and they would be happy to schedule an appointment for me but then they would have to refer me out anyway because Dr Owens can't do the same dental procedures that Dr Jackson and Dr Kang did when they were there. Why would they leave doctors on their website that aren't working there anymore? If they can't even keep their website updated, can I trust them with my dental care? I had heard great things about this office but since Dr Jackson retired and sold his business things have changed a lot and not for the better. read more

Would not recommend. I went in for a severe toothache. I was taking an antibiotic but it was not clearing up the abscess. They would not give me a different one or anything to manage the pain. All the dentist seemed to be concerned about was my insurance and wanting to pull the tooth. I feel like I was ripped off of $121 for the visit because I still have no relief. read more

Not only did I call last minute to schedule an appointment, but I was also late. They worked me in and made things possible. The staff were extremely polite and personable. The paper work was extremely easy and the office is very professional. The pricing is probably the best you can find in NEGA and you can't complain when there is free wifi and comfortable furniture in the waiting room. Definitely deserving of 5 . read more

I developed a painful gum/tooth area and needed something done! I called late afternoon and got an appointment first thing the next morning - which I thought was GREAT! The office staff was friendly, accommodating and they checked with my new dental insurance. Colby took me to a room and went ahead and got x-rays which I appreciated to keep the process moving along. Dr. Kang introduced himself and agreed with "my diagnosis" - extraction required. The financial adviser came and reviewed what my insurance would pay and what I was responsible for and answered any questions. Dr. Kang anesthetized the area extremely well so I felt no pain but only the tooth area was numb - not half my face! That impressed me the most. I highly recommend this office! read more

I had a great experience during my first visit! The office staff were amazing! Not only was everyone that I interacted with, during my visit, great, but the staff also introduced me to the hygienist I will see at my next appointment! Had a GREAT experience two weeks ago at Cornelia Dental. Courtney did a great job explaining to me all that she was going to do that day, and after taking x-rays explaining what other work I needed done. She also went and found out the cost of all my work and gave me a price. In addition, she was great with my cleaning. Today I had work done with Beth and Dr. Jackson which was also done in a professional and timely manner.
