This church is unlike any other church I have ever attended. This isn't one of those kind of churches that make you feel like an awkward outsider, like you could never measure up to the perfection. The pastor Scott Pugh and his wife Vanessa are so nice and down to earth that you can feel comfortable being EXACTLY who you are , especially if you feel far from God I would recommend this church 100% it's nothing fancy, no glitz and glamor and fake perfection. I felt God was telling me to just attend. I'm glad that I visited because the sermon message today really was something I needed to hear. The Pastor was in the last day of a series titled "The Strategy of Satan" (read Ephesians 6:10-18). He preached about how in this life, we are engaged in an invisible war. When trials and temptations come your way, be ready to put on the whole armour of God (metaphorically speaking) and fight the devil. The pastor gave real life examples as he preached so the whole message was easy to understand. As the pastor preached, there were notes to follow along on a bulletin. I liked that inside the bulletin, there was a memory verse and next steps on how to get involved with the church. I enjoyed the praise and worship time, prayer, and the little meet and greet session. Everyone I encountered was very friendly snd welcoming. I especially love that the church is diverse - filled with different races with men, women, and children. As a first time visitor, I received a gift bag and coupon for a drink from the cafe. There are signs everywhere making it easy to navigate the building for new visitors. If you have a baby in tow, the nursery is behind the seating area to the left of the pulpit/stage. It's soundproof but provides full visibility and sound of the service to those sitting inside. A family member used the nursery and said it was very comfortable too. I'm looking forward to visiting Crossroads to fellowship again!
