I am writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend who could not stop raving about this place. My boyfriend suffers from an auto-immune disease which puts a lot of stress/exhaustion on his body. On top of that, he has a labor demanding job which adds on top of that body tension. He recently pulled his back from moving things around the house and was in intense back pain for a few days. I called around to some chiropractic places but Cornerstone is the only place that contacted me back and fairly quickly! I spoke with Dr. Shep to set up an appointment and he was able to get him in the next day! He was extremely helpful and kind when setting up the appointment and answered all the questions I had. After the appointment, he had come home and said he's never felt better. In the past he's seen multiple chiropractors but he's never had the experience like he did at Cornerstone after seeing Dr. Andrea. Not only did she address his pulled back but helped him get a plan to address all the other aches he had that catered his auto-immune disease. When your doctor actually cares about your needs and create a plan to fit your problem areas instead of something generic, it shows this place really cares about their patients. As a long time athlete I know how important Chiropractic care is. I also know how critical it is to TRUST your Doctor. The minute I walked into the office Dr (Shep) Phillips was personable, knowledgeable and worked to understand what my issues were. He set up a plan to take care of the current back issue, and set follow-up appts before I left the office. I appreciate how thorough he was, and TOTALLY pain free. I have been here thrice -- it has been a mixed blessing both times. Bad because of what triggered me going here...good, no GREAT because Cornerstone has been here for me and very close by. I will make this proclamation wide and far now: Dr Shep's street name is *really* Dr. Feelgood. Oh yes! Make no mistake about it... Both times I have been here due to pain that made me -- yelp (chuckle) -- because of a pinched nerve in between my hip and spine. I am not absolutely positive how both incidents occurred, but I have a strong suspicion. I forget what the scientific name of it is, but Dr. Shep knows it. Dr Shep Phillips and his lovely fiancee, Andrea, are 2 of the Doctors of Chiropractic that operate here, and thank the powers that be, for those of us within 15 mins, that he is here. Tucked away in a quiet little medical office park area between Louisville and Superior, relief for what ails you is affordably priced here, and treatment is provided with compassion *and* a REAL desire to help people. *Yes*, for REALS. I'm super serial. (south park reference...) I was accepted the first time on a Saturday morning -- a Saturday, when 4 out of 5 chiropractic offices are closed anyways. Do they require an appointment? Well, I would suggest *making* one -- but if you can't for whatever reason *or* you get their answering service and don't feel like leaving them a message because they are with a client -- come on down. I had to fill out preliminary paperwork of course and even flying through it, it takes 15 mins or so. Dr Phillips took me in back and asked me an *extensive* list of questions, both health-history related as well as what was ailing me then. He then worked his magic -- and let me tell ya brothers and sisters, that's powerful voodoo he works. I've never heard a hip *snap* like that before...but a day later 1st time, all was gone and better. It took longer this last visit to ebb away, but I think I messed it up worse, possibly -- so that was to be expected. And he didn't just work my back and hip, oh no. My neck got the royal treatment I crave, too. *Mmmmm*. I don't know what's so addictive about feeling a stiff neck pop and crack, but...it's like a triple sundae with no calories. Just the best. I then received the added luxury this time (because my back was very tense) of being hooked up to (probably) a e-Stim (electric motor stimulation) unit -- it's like a TENS unit, but not the same thing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_muscle_stimulation if you're interested) and a heating pad for about 15 minutes. Either one by itself is great; both of them together are like peanut butter and jelly, football and beer, winning Powerball ticket and gaining superpowers... well, you get the idea. It's incredibly soothing and Dr Shep (or Andrea) will check to see how much current you desire as a pulse. It's as much a physical therapy area as it is chiropractic. BUT they also have acupuncture here. And nutritive products. And massage. And they push s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g exercises. It's really more of a *wellness complex* than it is solely chiropractic. If you live in Boulder, NW Denver, or any place within a 20 mile radius of Broomfield/Superior/Louisville, I *highly* recommend these wonderful people. Why? Because they actually *CARE* about your well-being -- and it shows, whether it's your 1st visit or your 10th. (I'll go out on a limb and say that, since I'm only coming up on my 4th visit this week). Did I also mention that if you have tight hamstrings that Dr. Shep will gladly stretch you out? Possibly a *faint* streak of sadism there }=), because it's *not* fun in the slightest. *BUT*...it will get you loosened up. Also, the 1st Thursday of every month, they have special pricing for treatments done that day at Cornerstone. Call to find out the pricing... I can't recall it offhand but it's quite the deal for anyone who might be financially-challenged. Here's to feeling better!! read more

I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to share my great experience at Cornerstone Chiropractic and Acupuncture. First off, the staff is very welcoming and professional. When I see Shep he talks me through the adjustment process and makes me feel comfortable during my session. Secondly, the adjustments have really helped my back. I had a bad sciatica problem, to the point where I could hardly walk, and now the pain is gone. Lastly, if there is a conflict of scheduling, if Shep isn't available to see me, Andrea is able to and she is just as friendly and helpful in the adjustment room as Shep. They are very knowledgable and take pride in their place of business. I would recommend them for sure read more

I've been going to Cornerstone Chiro for over 2 years now. A friend who was a regular recommended me and I am so thankful they did! In my neighborhood, which is really nice...LOVE the staff and the office, great atmosphere, have even taken advantage of their acupuncture services. They are also very accommodating when you need to change an appt and there have been several occasions when they still fit me in and I was late for my appt. So, I do my best to give ample notice if I need to change my appt or am running late, but highly recommend trying this place out. They have helped me with my neck and tension headache issues as well as when I have had minor sprains. They also take most insurance as far as I know and offer and 1st Thurs of the month special which is really nice! 2 thumbs up! read more

Went in for my first adjustment today, and I am impressed already! Dr. Andrea Gallagher spent more than 1 hour with me just going over my history, past treatment, and a detailed exam before we start treatment. I really feel like I'm in good hands with this doctor, and with this practice overall. The adjustment was gentle, including a bit of massage technique, and strong enough to get the work done. I look forward to future regular appointments with this practice where everyone is on a first name basis, and sincerely friendly. read more

I have used the services of Shep, one of the chiropractors, and Al, the masseuse. I have nothing but excellent things to say about both. I went to Shep because I had some lower back pain. He diagnosed me, helped me stretch and gave me exercises I could do on my own to help. I am proud to say that I'm now free of back pain and feeling great! I went to Al on the off chance he could help with a chronic pain issue. I have this weird pain under my ribs. Before Al, I went to my family doctor, a GI specialist, a physical therapist, an acupuncturist and a pain specialist. Al is the only one who was able to mitigate the pain without resorting to opium-based pain killers. I will warn the casual massage client that Al is no ordinary massage therapist. He's not a hot 20-something who will rub your back. He addresses the root of your pain and cures the problem. That process can be painful. But, if you're facing chronic pain issues, Al might be what you need. Al may not be an MD, but in my eyes he's a doctor. read more

I have always had a slight constant bothersome pain in my lower back. I've been to many chiropractors over the years and they all helped but it was only temporary. But after visiting Dr. Phillips over the last 6 months the pain is gone. And has been feeling great. Thank you so much cornerstone chiropractic staff. Shep and Andrea are great people and great chiropractors. My boyfriend and I met Shep and Andrea while living in Louisville and they introduced us to chiropractic care and have helped us both out over the years - my back and neck pain from dancing and my boyfriend's sports related injuries. It is easy to call up and get an appointment, they will always try to make time available for you. They are very knowledgeable and have inspired my boyfriend to also become a chiropractor (he is in currently in school here in nor cal). I would recommend their services to anyone! read more
