Arboga is a family owned business, with a great staff! & they're so professional with reviews to back them, a great website with clear photos and they ALWAYS answer their phone and respond via email promptly. The three things that really give us reassurance: - Yard time! Our pups love being outside and playing, especially in the water, and Arboga is great with their playtime rotation schedule to ensure all of dogs get the play they need without throwing them all together in one space. Our dogs are friendly, but we prefer them not being with other dogs during boarding. - Medications. We have one pup on a seizure medication and Arboga is always thorough with the info you provide to them and we know he gets his pills. - Open Door policy. When I first booked with them I was skeptical because this was totally new for me. The gal on the phone was so patient in answering my questions and encouraged me to pop on in anytime to tour. I did just that to get a better idea of what to expect, and they were so eager to greet when I did! They gave me a tour and didn't hesitate to show me everything! I've heard horror stories of pet boarding so I was so relieved that their property is well groomed, the kennels are big and clean and they were so confident in their services that they WANTED me to see it all for myself. Pricing: They're website transparently lists their pricing, fees and vaccine requirements. It's competitive! :) After your first stay, they have a file for your pups making future bookings and vaccine tracking a breeze! Tip: Make your pup comfortable! I felt a little invasive and "extra" when I packed so much for my dogs, from toys, bedding, pre-portioned food, busy bones, etc., but it's all to make your dogs' stay more enjoyable. You know your pup best, and Arboga truly wants your pup to love it, so bring what you need & what dog may want! Skylar was carefully placed with other dogs that were her size and age. When we picked up Skylar she was happy and appeared clean. A couple days later, I took her to a vet appointment, and she was very social with other dogs. This was not like her at all! Camp Lisa actually helped my dog become socialized. I will be bringing her back to Camp Lisa! I have recommended this place to friends. I feel lucky that this place is in our community. After texting Nola my dog's information, she slotted us for a 15 minute evaluation. It's $40 cash for her to train Maple on how to herd goats and also get some energy out of her. The whole location was very dog friendly with obstacle courses and even a manmade pond for dogs to cool off in. Nola recommended us to have Maple soak in the pool before her herding evaluation and it was a great idea because she pretty much dried off during half of the evaluation. Maple was a bit nervous, so she used her barking to herd the dogs initially. After a couple minutes, she used her movements to herd the goats and even chased one goat that left the pack. We were a little embarrassed with how much Maple barked in the beginning but she almost got it at the end! Nola is super patient, corrected Maple, and encouraging! Highly recommend reaching out to Nola to see if this is a good fit for your dog. We really enjoyed it!

We went for a Sunday when you bring your dog to "check on their herding instincts." It was great! Approximately 20 minutes our dog got to run around and herd the goats with instructions from the trainer. She had a little flag that she held which let our dog know if he was doing something incorrectly. The property itself is very nice, we got to walk around for a while after the herding experience. You can run your dog on the property afterward. She has goats, sheep and pigs! The property also has a water feature for dogs who want to do "dock diving." We drove 2 hours to get to this place, and def willing to do it again and suggesting other people with herding breeds take their dogs here!
