This place came up and I was able to get her in quickly. As someone who has worked in the dental field and was an office manager I understand insurance, and they kept trying to give me the runaround when they realized I was willing to pay out of pocket for some of the care. These people are money hungry and not patient first. They didn't want to put my mothers extractions through her insurance despite it having 100% coverage and did not want to have her partial covered by it as well. Instead they told me to pay out of pocket for the extractions and that they can run the insurance for a temporary partial and then I'd have to pay out of pocket for the permanent one. I had to stop them before starting treatment as I was looking over the paperwork and it was so sad to see that during a time of a dental crisis they were seeing money signs and not compassionate about patient care. I was luckily able to find another dental office down the street (JNL family) who was able to do all the services at no additional cost outside for a temporary solution to cover the gap where my mother had missing teeth while we waited for her permanent partial. Even then when I was willing to pay for a better partial they advised me to an alternative solution that was cheaper and more practical for the situation making me realize the clear difference between HONEST patient care and greed.

I went in for the first time on Monday, as I moved from CT and needed to find a new dentist. Dr. Tutin had such good reviews I figured I would give them a shot. I am really picky about my teeth and I am SO glad I decided to come here! I was warmly greeted by both the receptionist and the office manager when I walked in at 9am. They are both very sweet ladies. I sat down for less than 10 seconds before I was brought to the room with Emily, who was another very sweet woman. (I have never NOT had to wait at a doctor's office- so this was already a good sign for me.) She cleaned my teeth the best out of anyone who has in the past. How do I know this? My teeth were still sore 36 hours later. It wasn't a bad sore- it was one of those good sores when you know they really did a good job! Now here's where the fun comes in.. after Emily was finished, she brought in Dr. Tutin, who was extremely nice and seemed genuinely interested when asking me questions about my life as well as my past dental history (obviously). He also noticed on my chart that in a couple days I would be celebrating my birthday... and not only did I get a sweet new toothbrush.. but Dr. Tutin gave me another gift for my birthday- tickets to my favorite sports team and favorite place on this planet. WOW! He is honestly my favorite man! I have recommended his office to everyone I have come in contact with the past 2 days and I am recommending him to you! If you're looking for a new dentist in the Framingham area- this guy is your guy!!! Their office is right off of the pike and very easy to find and they are very kind, approachable, and will work hard. They also stressed to me that they will never do something that my insurance doesn't cover without running it by me first.. even if it was $0.55.. they still won't do anything without telling me. At one appointment he told me he was okay with it as long as I didn't hold him responsible for some catastrophic dental issue that might arise from my lack of X-rays, but the following appointment 6 months later, he became very aggressive and told me I could not come back unless I agreed to his X-ray requirements. So obviously I did not return. And the fact that at first he was okay with very limited X-rays and then the next appointment he wasn't and was much more aggressive... tells me it was more about the money and not really that something could go horribly and inexplicably wrong without X-rays. I always found him a bit aggressive... maybe short-man complex... but, in fairness, he was a good dentist otherwise. Good luck.

I was told she had cancelled my appointment because I supposedly didn't 'CONFIRM my appointment'. WHAT? Evidently I was supposed to be home to answer (I have a landline) her phone call, but I wasn't there for a while, thus the appointment was cancelled. How rude and stupid is that! Then she said she could fit me in the next day. Ahhhh, no freaken way. I told her I would find a better place and walked out. Ten minutes later I made an appointment at another office nearby. When I told them about Alpha Dental they just shook their heads and said they would never treat their patients like that.

Afterwards I was hurried out the door ... After cancelling my next visit (who would go back given what happened) now there is a nonsensical no-show fee attached to my account along with other extra charges. Upon questioning them, I was met with a confrontational attitude, unwillingness to remedy the situation, and threatened with more charges from times I had previously re-scheduled other appointments.

A Treasure in the Suburbs…read more I believe that we should take advantage of the rich resources where we live - and because Boston is known for its fine culture, outstanding universities, state of the art medical facilities and innovative dental procedures, I have always opted for doctors and dentists (and shopping excursions!) in the city. That changed when a Boston dentist referred me to Dr. Mario Gatti. I learned the hard way that a general dentist is not the one to go for a crown or implants because it is not something he does all day and does not have the extra training needed to become Board Certified. I was also told that Dr. Gatti specialized in implants as well so I decided to give it a shot. I called Dr. Gatti, at his office in Natick, Chang Dental Group and scheduled an appointment. From the moment I met Dr. Gatti, he made me feel extremely comfortable as he patiently listened to my complex dental history. He thoroughly discussed the various options he felt were appropriate and after much time and consideration, he suggested that I should go home and think about the options he had presented to me and he would put together a treatment plan that he felt would best meet my needs. He allowed me to take a deep breath and never put any pressure on me to make a decision. He also gave me his cell phone number and told me to get in touch with him at any time if I had additional questions or concerns as there was much information to digest. This in and of itself spoke volumes about his integrity and concern. I had brought my daughter with me as a second set of ears and he welcomed her questions and concerns. His professional demeanor was quite impressive as were the credentials on his wall. Board Certified Prosthodontist, Oral Surgeon, and Implant Specialist all wrapped up in one, plus the convenience of being in the suburbs and not having to drive back and forth to Boston gave me a lot to think about. We scheduled another appointment and I did take him up on his offer to address any concerns before that appointment. I can tell you that Dr. Gatti has a brilliant mind, hands of gold and a compassionate heart. His gentle technique and expertise in prosthodontics, surgical procedures and implants are second to none! His assistant, Pam, is an added bonus! I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Gatti and am so thrilled that I found him!

He and his entire staff are among the friendliest and most professional people I have ever gone to for medical/dental care. I have had everything from cleanings to fillings to crowns done by Dr. Norfolk and have never had a complaint. He is a perfectionist and that is evident in every piece of work he completes. Prices are a bit higher than I have seen advertised by some of the dental "groups" out there but that can be expected from a private practice and the level of care here is most definitely worth it. Dental care is expensive in general so I feel I might as well get the best. Even when I was without dental insurance several years ago, and had to pay out of pocket, I kept him as my dentist; he's THAT good. P.S. - On a side note, his office is absolutely gorgeous inside!!

Maria, the hygienist and Dr Spada made sure that I knew all the steps ahead of time, so there were no surprises. The whitening went well, but was a little bit more painful than I expected.
