My daughter was completely cooperative with the tools, flossing, etc. she just didn't like the taste of the toothpaste. Dr. Diab put my 3-yr-old in a headlock and did the entire procedure in about 30 seconds. She was done before I could even scream stop. It was heart wrenching for myself and my daughter. She has had nightmares ever since (2 years later). Every time we drive up to an office building, she asks if we're going to see that mean dentist lady. She also told me that my 3 yr old would need braces someday because her teeth were so close together. Since they, I have found out that can't be determined until adult teeth come in and it's the placement of the molars that determine need for braces. We also tried Dr. Anton, her partner, and had a similar experience. That was the final straw. We went to The Dentist at Hopkinton and had a fantastic experience. They were gentle, talked to her, took their time, answered her questions, etc. The environment was less overstimulating too with nice gentle music.

I followed each step of their process, including an initial cleaning, xrays, a fitting appt, and an additional cleanings - all separate visits they required before moving forward. On the day of that appointment, I encountered unexpected traffic and called ahead to let the office know I would be approximately 15-20 minutes late. I was told that was not a problem and was rescheduled for another time that same day. However, shortly afterward, I was informed that the practice no longer wished to have me as a patient. This was extremely surprising and disappointing. I was told I would receive a referral to another provider, but I never received any follow-up communication. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of communication after my dismissal from the practice. I had to send multiple emails requesting my dental records before receiving a response. When I finally did hear back, there was no acknowledgment of my questions, no explanation regarding my treatment status, no referral information, and no guidance on next steps. The response consisted only of a code to access my records. There was no discussion of continuity of care or any clear exit plan to help me transition to another provider. As a result, I am now forced to start the entire process over with a new provider after investing significant time and effort into meeting Elite Dental's requirements. I trusted this practice with my care and was committed to moving forward with treatment. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled felt unprofessional, lacked basic patient communication, and left me without the treatment plan I had spent months working toward.
