I've been a patient for three years now and I've only had good experiences. Sherice at the front desk is always helpful with reminding me of appointments and answering my insurance/billing questions. Vanessa is a good hygienist. She and the other hygienists have convinced me to start flossing for the first time in my life. Their office is convenient to my office in Kendall Square and with an early morning or lunch time appointment, I don't miss any work. They have been ready for me on-time for each of my visits. Dr. Kosmidis has filled two of my cavities and installed one crown. (I think it's called a crown... maybe a "cap"... whatever) Each procedure as well as all my cleanings have gone well. I'm not sure what else to review about the dentist. Oh, he has a cool CAD/CAM mill that he used to fabricate my cap (crown?). As an engineer I enjoyed watching the machine create my new tooth part from a white block of ceramic.

My dental technician (Laura) was wonderful and answered all my questions in detail, even going through my X-rays to show me what she found. Dr. Fang was also very clear, thorough, and got through my exam in no time. There was no funny business trying to sell me a procedure that I don't need. Dr. Fang walked me through her findings, explaining why I need certain procedures and what my options were. I would rate 6/5 if I could!

At 70 years old I began going to FANIKOS, she examined my teeth, took a mouth of X-rays even cleaned teeth and did 6 filling at one appointment. After a visit last year she said I needed to see another dentist ( specialist) to deal with under crown cavities, I signed a release to send them my X-rays and booked my next cleaning at her, FANIKOS office. 6 months go by I get reminders about my upcoming cleaning and then was told I had been released from FANIKOS to the specialist...yup thrown out of a dentist practice because she did not want to deal with any of my dental work. Never have i had a doctor refuse to see me....I would think doctors are obligated by oath never to refuse anybody, Well at 73 years old I was thrown out because she did not want to deal with my mouth anymore. She suggests a specialist you better see him/her because once you sign the release form to send them X-rays, you will be out on the street like me. GOOIOOOOD NEWS. I am in Florida. I went to another dentist in FLL. THE DENTIST saw me and I explained what front teeth I needed repair. She did not hesitate treating me like an old patient. Repaired 3 and I'm going back for more repairs.....and a cleaning, this is how a dentist, a doctor or any professional should be. To bad I had to go 1500 miles to find A DENTIST WITH A HEART.......and my front teeth are looking amazing. Once back in Massachusetts I will be going back to my old dentist I had for many many many years...he will always take me back. But this past weekend, they went from great to amazing! The night before a huge event, a veneer I had for 20 years suddenly came off. I called the emergency line. Even though it was only cosmetic, Dr. Salib called me right back and told me to come it. It was nighttime! She spent her night fixing my tooth, and I was able to have a beatiful smile for the photos the next day.

He assessed that he couldn't do the root canal bc the crack in my tooth was too deep, so they got me an appt immediately with an oral surgeon. All through the process they were always putting my needs first. My experience overall with Excel (who I've been seeing since 2012) has been similar -- they genuinely care and they never try to sell you on procedures you don't really need like some other dentists I've been to, and don't try to run up the bill with unnecessary procedures. Also the receptionist is amazing -- she was the one who got things moved around so I could be seen quickly, and she even called after the tooth extraction to see how I was doing. I highly recommend Excel Family Dental!
