I was evaluated for hearing loss at this facility on 3/5/2026 and was pleased with the thoroughness of the testing. Stephanie Griffin and Matthew Gillihan were very professional in their testing and diagnosing of my hearing impairment, along with recommendations for assistive devices. The problems began when I met with the audiologist, Chasity Walton. I tested a Bluetooth hearing aid that was a great fit for me and was quoted a price of $500 after my insurance payment of $3000. I agreed to this. Chasity confirmed this again on 3/17 via a voice message verifying my insurance covered the hearing aid and that I just had to pay the $500. I questioned exactly what the $500 was for and was informed it was for the programming of the hearing aids, the fitting of the hearing aids- (which should have been included in the purchase price anyway) and an extended warranty that I was REQUIRED to purchase. I questioned this. I also requested this in writing and was told that it should be in the contract when I pick up the hearing aides. ??? On 3/18 Chasity calls me back and tells me she checked with the billing dept and "oh by the way we need an additional $1400 from you", that the hearing aids were actually that much higher in price. I declined to purchase and said I no longer trust this practice because of the wildly inaccurate and fluctuating pricing. I got my test results and will be getting my hearing aids for much cheaper elsewhere. I also reached out to the billing dept and they denied ever telling Chasity that I needed to provide $1400 more. Requested a call back from the office manager-no response. Billing also told me the actual price of the hearing aids in the worksheet was $2000 plus an additional $1500. For what? For those of you that don't want to read the entirety of my review, I will summarize my experince: Dr. McClelland was able do for me what 8+ specialists were unable to do over the course of 13 years. Dr. McClelland changed my life for the better. My results were not only beneficial, they exceeded my expectations. In the past, I was an MMA athlete. Through many years of training I acquired scar tissue in my nose as a result of breaks & impacts. 13 years ago I decided to consult with a Dr who could potentially fix the issue so I could breath and perform better. The Dr decided it was best to have Bilateral Turbinate reduction. The Dr. used an older, less popular technique, and it resulted in several problems. long story short -- the surgery had made my problem much worse. I ended up with more scar tissue, in addition to that, I had a new problem, my turbinates were swollen constantly as a result of the surgery. This made it difficult to breath during workouts, I had to wear a nose strip to bed every night if I wanted a decent night's sleep (Which I did for 13 years), and I would often wake up in the morning feeling dehydrated. Over the course of 13 years I visited several Drs. Most of the time I was told "there is nothing wrong", which there clearly was, or "you need to see a plastic surgeon for reconstruction", but I did not want a nose job, or "Wear a nose strip or an insert", but I did not want to have to do that for the rest of my life! 13 years was enough. Fast forward to Dr. McClelland -- I am going to make this quick, because frankly, the whole experince WAS quick. The staff was friendly, Dr. McClelland listened to my story and my concerns and answered every question I had. He recommended a CAT scan to see what was going on, which no other Dr did over the course of 13 years. He discovered that my turbinates were oversized. He scheduled a corrective surgery a couple weeks later. I showed up to his office for a 1 hr outpatient procedure, and my life was changed for the better. Now here I am after 13 years of dealing with this issue, being told nothing could be done or nothing was wrong, after a couple office visits over the course of a few weeks, and a 1 hr procedure -- Dr. McClelland has changed my life for the better. I wish I would have found him sooner. P.S. - I haven't had to wear a nose strip since the procedure and my cardio & endurance during my workouts has tripled! I got the in office Balloon Sinuplasty Sinus surgery. The experience was good. I didn't use to get dreams. Now I get dreams. I would recommend the in office procedure. The X-rays machines are highly advanced and does not feel anything with few minutes which requires to sit on a chair. After the x-rays, in few weeks surgery is scheduled. Surgery went smoothly. I didn't even know when I went to sleep with anesthesia and got back up. The follow up treatments were also good. It uses technical equipments far advanced with no pain. I would recommend patients to clear the nasal passage by using an ear bud as one would be comfortable with little pain before surgery and the sensitivity goes away. It didn't feel like a surgery, more of like sleep and wake up. This will assist with sleep as it opens up the sinuses. Nasal prays and medication and rinses are also helpful. Dr. Mcclelland did a typanoplasty on my son after his ear tube hole didn't close. He is a masterful surgeon. My son's hearing is now perfect after the surgery (it was diminished before the surgery), and his ear drum looks completely normal. We are so thankful to him and his team. read more

I called a made an appointment, but when I arrived, the appointment was not in the system, but all my information was in there. I also learned my address wasn't entered into the system correctly. I visited this practice twice in hopes of getting some answers for chronic sinus issues. From the first minute of meeting Dr. McClelland, he came across as an arrogant, overconfident person that spoke down to me and was quite degrading, instead of speaking to me as a patient seeking answers to years of issues. As soon as I left this office from my first visit, I called my partner to tell him how it went and my first sentence was, "this guy is extremely 'cocky' and not very nice". Being in a pretty desperate situation of really wanting answers, I let this awful attitude slide and decided to come back for the CT and follow-up visit. I prepared for this visit by making two-1 hour round trip visits to my previous ENT to get a CD of my previous CT scans. Never once did my previous ENT office ask me to pay for this CD of my scans that I, and my insurance, had previously paid for. More on this later... When I arrived here for my follow-up appointment, I had the CT scan completed, gave the office staff my CD I had of my previous scans, and waited for my follow-up with Dr. McClelland. Again, when he arrived in the room, he had the same arrogance as my first visit. I continued with the visit, saddened to think that I might have to let this guy operate on me as it might be my only way to relief, and again, hear him recommend surgery as he had previously mentioned during my first visit. I tell him I will need a bit to think about everything he has said, and the visit ends and I leave the office. As I get to the edge of the parking lot, I had forgotten that I should have gotten a copy of the CT that was performed that day, so I turn around and go back to request that. Upon requesting this from the lady at the front desk, she goes back to speak with the office manager and informs me that it will be $15 to get a copy of the CD. Being completely shocked that they would charge for this CD, I ask the front desk lady to speak with the office manager to ask why they would charge for this. By the way, it should be known that this office received $404 from my insurance for the first visit that lasted 30 minutes or less. And as of right now, I can only assume that they will receive another $400 for my follow-up visit and whatever fee they get for the CT. So, why would I ever be charged $15 for a CD that someone can get 50 of on Amazon for less than $11? I expressed my frustration to this office manager, who stood at the front desk the entire time to speak with me, never asking me to step to the back to speak with her, who offered to ask Dr. McClelland if he would waive this fee. So, she goes to ask and then Dr. McClelland comes to the desk to ask if there is an issue. I explain the same thing to him that I'm shocked he is "penny-pinching" for $15 for me to get a CD of my scan that my insurance will be paying for. He seems to be a bit embarrassed by this conversation, so he asks me to come to the back so other patients do not hear. I go to the back, and we start talking and he is even more arrogant than before, and I can only assume that is because I was actually standing up in my own defense against this insane charge that he wanted me to pay. He says that I should not be speaking about this in the waiting room, and I tell him his office manager decided to have that conversation at the front desk and if she didn't like that, then she should have asked me to the back just like he did. He continuously talks over me, never actually listens to any of the issues, and the conversation does not go well. I finally say that I'm good to leave and he agrees that is good, and his office manager gives me the CD (at no charge) and I walk out. I am SO happy I came to my right mind, and this argument occurred, because there is NO way that anyone should trust this man with this sort of mental state of narcissism to put them to sleep. Just read the other reviews of similar instances of this occurring and you will see this seems to happen a good bit at this practice. read more

Quick Visit, Great Doctor. Today I went to Cornerstone Ear Nose and Throat. I saw Dr. Gillespie, he was very knowledgeable and managed not to hurt me at all. I had the worst ear ache and it got to the point that I just couldn't deal with it. They saw me two weeks early, diagnosed my issue, I got my prescription and will be back in two weeks for a follow up. My appointment was at 8:30 and I was done at 9:30. I am beyond livid! A year n half ago I went to see this office due to a bad ear infection, while in agonizing pain, they suggest to send off culture test to find out about ear pain, well as I said bad pain, push me to sign a document agreeing to this diagnostic test which they know if "out of network" Micro GenDX for an ear ache? I've been battling with Micro GenDX ever since I got the $500 bill, my insurance company shows they never processed a claim and now it's been too long to do so. So even though I had insurance, it won't get paid through them due to "timely" file! Now I have to pay the bill, I wonder what kick backs this Dr. office gets to send out of network lab work for an ear ache. Which by the way, they took too long to get to bottom or it, I had to have 3 office visits to get it resolved and better. I will not ever go back there and would not recommend to anyone who is in pain. read more

I had tonsillitis. Was given the wrong prescription through a different doctor, and was getting worst. I called Cornerstone on a Friday morning, as a new patient and explained to them my situation. I was having issues getting into other ENT offices. They got me in within two hours. As a patient, the experience was great. I was offered a cloth mask upon entering, and a small bottle of hand sanitizer to keep. Dr. Brink was great. He explained to me why the previous doctor's prescription was not working. Explained the steps of having my tonsils removed, but wasn't pushing me to a surgery. Prescribed the correct medication, and I was feeling some relief within a few hours of getting my prescriptions after suffering for almost five days. I would definitely recommend Cornerstone ENT. If I could give shady place a negative number I would. I went to get a CT scan of my ears on March 28th 2022. I was told I am responsible to pay $403.17 before my visit. I told them my insurance company told me not to pay anything. They need to process the claim, then bill you. The receptionist, who argues... "this is the way we do it." They never called my insurance for a pre authorization code which they are under contract to do so. So I was over charged $266 and change. She gives me all this crap about it being the insurances fault... no apology... nothing! Just everyone's fault but their own. I would have a lot more respect for someone who owns their mistakes, than argues and passes the blame. When I called to speak to billing, this is what I hear when the person on the other line answers, " Renee." I said, "hello?" She says, "yes" I'm sorry did interrupt you at your fing job!?!?!? I arrived at 2:00 P.M. for a 2:30 app't and spent the next one and a half hours filling in information on 2 tablets even though I have been there before and given information, The room was packed with people waiting. I was told there were only 2 doctors. Why did they schedule so many? Finally, I was called in AFTER 3:30. The nurse then took more information for the next half hour! Finally the doctor came in. i was there for allergy shots which after 15 minutes he just gave me prescriptions. Never mentioned me taking allergy shots. Food was not my allergy. After 20 minutes he left. The nurse went out to get a "sticky note". i waited another 15 minutes. she was on a computer in the hall. Finally i walked out of there at 4:30P.M. I WON'T BE BACK!! Met Dr. McClelland during both the appointments. During my visits i found Dr. McClelland as being not good listener and lacks empathy towards patients. Dr. McClelland did a magnificent job fixing a perforated septum (a hole in my septum) which other doctors had dismissed. Thye provided great follow-up and care. I literally had decades of nose problems which cause bleeding and irritation. He took his time with me and listened. I would give him an A+. I am a first time and last time visitor to this practice. I went to the Monroe office for a hearing test on January 4, 2021 to see if I needed hearing aids. The audiologist was the best I ever had! That was $58. At the front desk, I had to pay an additional $185 since it was the first of the year and my BCBS deductible had to be met. Now I get a bill for anouther $320! Beware! Go there for a simple hearing test that cost $58 and walk out paying $505 for it! read more

I had a 2pm scheduled appointment today to have allergy testing done with Dr. Gillespie. At 2:20, I was finally brought back to the exam room and asked a series of questions by the assistant/nurse, who was very sweet. She told me she would inform the doctor I was ready and he'd be in shortly. At 2:30, I popped my head out of the room to ask her how much longer she anticipated the doctor would be, as I had to be somewhere by 3:30 and had already waited 30 minutes past my appointment. She told me he was in with a patient and that he had ANOTHER patient after that one to see before he'd be able to see me. This meant I'd be waiting at least 45 minutes to an hour to be seen. I had no choice but to leave and cancel my appointment because there wouldn't be enough time at that point. I live 45 minutes away and drove an hour and a half for nothing. Initial visit was ok, then we priced out hearing aids which were $6,500. Was told lowest price in town insurance would pay $2,500. Shopped around went to COSTCO free hearing test much more in depth that Cornerstone. Oh and guess what exact same hearing aids were $2,600 with my deductible of $2,500 cost me $100 instead of $3,900 dollars Cornerstone almost had me pay. And now a month later another bill for a 5 minute cosultation which I didn't know cost additional they just bill your insurance. So moral of the story go to COSTCO same hearing aids almost $4,000 cheaper, free hearing test no deductible, better warranty 3 years at no extra cost. read more

A botched dental procedure by a local weekend dentist severed an artery in my face creating a bloody hematoma. It later got infected so the whole side of my head was swollen like a balloon and in great pain. I was given 3 different antiobiotics and was on oxycodone which could not even stop the pain. I consider myself very fortunate that Dr. Daron Smith at Cornerstone Ear, Nose, and Throat was willing to work me in the day I called there. He correctly diagnosed the problem, then opened the inside of my cheek with a scalpel to drain the infected blood right at the clinic. This had been the most painful affliction I'd ever experienced. I'd already gone to 3 other doctors, including an endodontist and an oral surgeon. It was Dr. Smith who took action and relieved me of the horrendous pain in one visit. I highly recommend him and Cornerstone for their very professional methods and for relieving me of this terrible condition. My face is almost completely healed one week later. read more
