She sent me a fabric shaver which was nice. Well here we are a year and many shaves later and it continues to pill. it looks pretty terrible, like an old worn out couch - much worse than the (ripped) twenty year old couch we were replacing. I'm embarrassed to have friends over. when I do, we have to spend 30 minutes shaving the couch first, which is ridiculous. I hate to throw good money after bad but I suppose I will - we're planning to have the cushions recovered. It's not ideal since obviously they can't match the rest of the couch and that's not really the look I'm going for. But it's better than tossing it and starting over. I reached out to Four Corners recently to politely recommend they not sell this fabric (I feel bad for anyone else who might select it) and got no reply. So, I guess thats the kind of establishment this is. Disappointing - I prefer to shop independent but in this case it sure wasn't a good choice.

But, it was packed with unique, locally made art goods (95% Asheville artists, 5% Tennessee/Kentucky they say) that were awesome AND affordable. Pottery, wood carvings, textiles, Christmas ornaments, cookware, glass art, paintings, and more. I liked most everything I saw, and again, it was artistry that wouldn't break your bank. The customer service was so friendly, and the nice lady working really wanted to connect with us, and also tell more about the artists who made some of the different art. Informative, funny, kind - she was great. I would recommend this to EVERY Asheville tourist looking for something unique to take home, rather than junky trinkets made in China that you can find in every American gift shop.

The girl working was so friendly, and EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS CUTE. Everything seemed so well curated. I personally was flocking to all of the jewelry; most (or all?) of it is either locally made or comes from fair trade organizations. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, you name it! There were some body products (like a dreamy cream I put on my hands), handbags, other accessories, and more. I ended up buying a unique necklace, but I seriously wanted one of everything in the store!
