This shop is ADORABLE. My sister and I decided to make a pit stop to a few shops before leaving Asheville this past weekend, and I am SO glad we unexpectedly wandered in here. The girl working was so friendly, and EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS CUTE. Everything seemed so well curated. I personally was flocking to all of the jewelry; most (or all?) of it is either locally made or comes from fair trade organizations. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, you name it! There were some body products (like a dreamy cream I put on my hands), handbags, other accessories, and more. I ended up buying a unique necklace, but I seriously wanted one of everything in the store! If I lived in Asheville, this would be my go-to spot when I wanted to treat myself or give a gift along these lines. I was visiting Asheville on vacation in November when I came upon this delightful store. I found so many treasures. It was a chilly weekend so I ended up buying a couple of sweaters and some new jewelry to wear out that night. The owner was so friendly and told me about the artists of the jewelry. I left there saying, "what a great store!" So I get home and it's time to think about Christmas gifts. What to get, where to buy? I run to my bedroom and grab the box the jewelry came in! Embellish! Yes, I didn't even know they were on line. I ended up buying quite a few pieces from them. They arrived so fast and were packaged so nicely. Adorable place! Definitely a bit on the higher end (price wise), but great quality and totally worth it. I think the prices are actually very reasonable for what you're getting. The have gorgeous jewelry and beautiful bags/scarves. Perfect place to get a nice, simple, stylish amazing gift or treat. This is my go to place for classy and gorgeous accessories. On another note- the more I talk to the owner/workers, the more I love this place. They are absolutely darling and so fun to chat with. They care and listen and are wonderful people. Stumbled in here while visiting Asheville for a weekend because it was colder than we expected and needed some warm accessories. Turns out the store was amazing! Super cute scarves, hats, jewelry, purses, etc. and it was all fairly affordable, especially for a little boutique. There was lots of locally made, natural stuff. The owner told us she had moved from Chicago so some of the stuff was imported from there, but all of the stuff is small business owned. Barb is the owner and was so helpful and friendly! I come to Asheville a few times a year and have my favorite shopping stops. This was a new find for me as they just opened in October. The space is beautiful and serene and uncluttered. I really enjoyed walking around and shopping. I have very selective tastes and don't shop just to shop. I found so many great finds in this shop. They have handbags, wallets, scarves, hats, and beautiful jewelry. I walked out with many unique pieces that I will love wearing knowing that others won't be wearing the same designs. Definitely eye catching designs. The owner was also very helpful, kind, and loved chatting w/ her. She was super helpful. Make the trip down to the end of the street and check out this gem. Wonderful pieces of jewelry, many that are locally made and some that your purchase benefits an organization. Wonderful variety of unique items. The proprietor is incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I collect Christmas ornaments when we travel. I hadn't found one and was going to purchase a beautifully engraved Asheville key ring to substitute. When I shared my story she went into her store room and found me an ornament; done by the same local artist who does the key rings. It's difficult to find customer service like that. Not necessarily in Asheville, but in most of retail. Barb is inviting, but not overbearing; a difficult balance sometimes. I went back the next day for a pair of earrings I couldn't stop thinking about and there's this purse.... I may go back again if I can't stop thinking of that too. read more

I am a very selective shopper, and I am usually in and out of a store in a few minutes, but when I wandered into Embellish, I was amazed by the number of items that appealed to me. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. I ended up buying a beautiful bag and two pieces of jewelry, and I could have easily bought more. The owner clearly puts a lot of thought into what she chooses to sell. I feel lucky that I found this appealing little shop. I will definitely return any time I am in Asheville. read more
