Such a great little shop! I first tried Cornivore popcorn when I was visiting a family member at Lovelace Women's Hospital where small containers are sold in the cafeteria. The Sharp Cheddar popcorn is exactly what I've been searching for. It's not a hint of cheddar; it's exactly as described with being sharp, strong, and flavorful. I went to their shop and purchased two bags of the Sharp Cheddar, a bag of Caramel Cheddar for the hubby, and a small container of Cookies & Cream. I'm usually not a fan of sweet popcorn, but the Cookies & Cream one won me over! The shop associate was very friendly. He explained their process of cooking in house, that many of their popcorns are vegan and gluten free, and the history of the business. He has been working for the store, which he described as a mom-and-pop, for four years, which is a good sign. They also offer samples of any popcorn you'd like to try before buying a large bag. Without that, I wouldn't have gotten the Cookies & Cream. For my first purchase they gave me a tote bag, and when I bring it in next time I get a small percentage off my next purchase. I saw a FB post that they had a new flavor Cherry Kettle & I'm all about anything cherry. We have been buying their popcorn for a long time now, however this last time we were at the SW Coffee & Chocolate fest. I asked if they had the Cherry flavor. The gentelman I spoke to mentioned he did on the truck, he said give him a moment & he'd run out and get it. Even during the busy time of selling he took time out to go get the flavor I wanted. When I ask pertinent questions after her telling me she's "going to look into it", i ask, "like are you sending something eles?" She states, "Going to look into it, and get back to you". What will the turn around time be? She states, "Going to look into it". I ask to speak to the owner. "I am the owner". "I thought you stated youre the mother of owner"? Well, congrats because I will NEVER USE YOUR COMPANY AGAIN. IM LOOKING FOR A REFUND. OWNERS MOM SHOULD NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. When your website states you'll do everything to make it a great experience, don't let your mother answer the phone, because she FAILED... de-escalation must be an art form. The only one I've tried so far is the New Mexico Sunset, which mixes both red and green chile popcorn. The more you eat the hotter it becomes. Their popcorn isn't buried in artificial flavoring, which makes it more pure. Anytime I pick up popcorn from the grocery store, just because it's easier, I always think, "Shoulda ordered from Cornivore, fool." Which leads to the customer experience. Being cooped up, due to the pandemic, it's a simple process ordering from these folks online. They'll even deliver if you live in the metro area. They are super nice people who will bend over backwards to accommodate their customers. A few months ago I placed an order that was screwed up, and they went above and beyond to make it right, even though it was totally MY fault. Today I placed an order later in the afternoon, figuring I'd get it tomorrow. No. I got a text this evening, telling me my order was on its way. This is a little gem that I only discovered because of yelp. If you like popcorn, even a little, you have to try this place. They have a great assortment of flavor options so whether you prefer savory or sweet, there is something for everyone. I've had a few different ones now and my two favorite are the red chile cheddar ( I forget the fun name they have for it) and the churro. I am usually not a fan of cheese popcorn as it usually taste really artificial but not theirs! The churro one caught me by surprise as I just asked for a quick sample on my way out last time I was there. I popped a piece in my mouth as I was leaving and it was so good I turned around in the door way and bought a bag after I just had bought something else haha. It is not overly sweet and perfectly cinnamon-y. I will say the green and red chile flavors do have some actual spice to them which I personally love but may be a bit much for some people. I went in just before the holidays and they had a great variety of little party/gift sets. They will give you a sample for anything and the staff was super nice. They has will give you a yellow reusable bag with purchases of a certain size and if you bring it back in the future you get a discount!
