Clearly, they have great popcorn. the petite princess amber is probably not something you've experienced before: small, the hulls almost entirely disintegrate on the pop, and it actually tastes like something! My wife order popcorn for her father's birthday. Crown not only delivered it to the wrong address (her billing address, not her father's address (2200 miles apart)) , when we contacted them they said they would check into an contact us back. 2 days later, and several voice mails later, they still have not made contact with me. My first two orders in 2012 went well, but my order from October 1st of 2013 still has not come (It's November 19th). I have emailed and called. Will continue to do so... I have ordered from Crown Jewel a number of times. Their popcorn products are awesome, they taste like corn and are wonderful in their various sizes and mouth feels. If only the management of the company's order system was as good as the popcorn. I've ordered around the holidays a number of times. Typically I make sure that I order many weeks in advance because I've discovered that Crown Jewel is really bad around the holidays about getting orders through their system to the customer. Multiple times I've pinged them when my order did not arrive on schedule and they just fixed it. That is until this last Christmas. I ordered the package that had each of their different popcorns. It was about 2 weeks before Christmas. The order never arrived. I contacted them for a status update in February hoping they would do what they've done in the past -- just shipping the order with no comment. This time that did not happen. I've contacted them and they have not responded and I still have no popcorn. My wife was extremely disappointed on Christmas eve when she got an IOU instead of popcorn. We typically make the popcorn and have a bowl before we go to bed after opening our presents on Christmas eve -- and sleep in on Christmas day. I'm extremely disappointed in Crown Jewel Popcorn and their ability to execute to the contract that they specify to deliver popcorn with 8 days. Hopefully someone at Crown Jewel Popcorn will see this and take seriously that I believe in contract law and will take appropriate measures if they do not respond in a timely fashion. 1/29/15 Interesting, I wrote this review back in 2012 and I think company may have filtered it so I'm updating so it gets posted again. Do not order from this company! Although the popcorn is really good their customer service is terrible and they frequently send incomplete orders or make promises to send it and you have to keep calling and no one calls you back (and yes they also gave me the same line that they would throw in extra product and they didn't). Go read the BBB report on-line about this company, they have an 'F' rating for this very reason. I filed a complaint against them after 2 experiences of incomplete orders. Although they refunded my money, finally, it took contacting BBB 3 times to finally get them to respond. I will never order from this company again. They never called or included an apology for their terrible customer service. read more

Do not buy from them. Customer service is horrible. Will not tell you the truth when you call. They gave vouchers to a TV show to give to the audience. Then they would not honor many of the certificates. Those that they did honor, took months to get delivered. Their excuse: They are a small business. Look at their BBB rating: A solid F. So, if loooove popcorn like my family does, you cannot find better tasting popcorn than this place sells. We've tried all kinds of gourmet popcorns and these guys have the best (especially the baby yellow topaz). Unfortunately, actually getting your order isn't such a pleasant experience. My last order was placed on (11/25/11). I didn't receive it until today (1/18/12) nearly 2 months later! This despite repeated follow ups with them (2 emails and 3 calls), during which they constantly promised that it would "ship by tomorrow at the latest. We're so sorry for the delay, we'll throw in some extra popcorn for you." ... and I received the order today... without any extra popcorn :( I'd give them 1 star but the popcorn is too yummy. read more

I've been buying popcorn from them for years and they have a great variety of delicious popcorn. I always enjoy the different flavors and make sure to keep my cupboard stocked. I began a search for a new hulless popping corn supplier after my previous supplier's customer service went down the tubes (and they had only one variety of hulless). I also have tried other hulless brands and they just weren't good popping corn. After a search, I came across Crown Jewel Gourmet, and their multiple varieties of hulless was impressive. I was nervous because of some past reviews. I noticed these reviews were old, so I called and spoke with one of the owners, Wendy. Not only was she was courteous and professional, she took the time to help me filter thru which variety would be the best for me based upon my questions and desires. Thus, I decided to try them and placed an order with her. I spoke to her on a Wednesday, my order shipped the following day, and it was delivered on Saturday. They will respond and give you an invoice # Transaction ID #, take your money out of your account, yet you have no idea in where your order is or when you may get it if you get your order. attempting to contact them via e-mail or phone is a waist of time, they do not respond to any messages they receive from customers, unless it is to take your order and money. I have been buying from Crown Jewel popcorn for the last 3 years and have never had an issue! My first order was a mixup, but they told me to keep the popcorn and pay it forward, so I shared with my friends! They then sent me my original order. Every time I order, my popcorn arrives within 4-5 days and so was surprised to hear the negative comments. Very fast response times to my first emails (I asked details for international shipments). Then I tried to place my order and responsiveness degraded dramatically. After several times asking about my order status (by web form as well as by email) I received a PayPal-request for the order which I paid. Then, one day after, I got the info that they miscalculated shipping fees - no info if my order was shipped. I immediately offered to pay the difference - no response since then. Horrible customer service. I made one purchase with them and it will also be the last. If you need popcorn items, I would shop somewhere else. They don't respond to emails or messages left on their answering machine. There are no policies posted on their website. They charged my CC within 2 days, but took nearly two weeks to ship it. When I finally reached someone on the phone and told then when I needed it as it was for my nephews Xmas which was being celebrated earlier than the 25th, they told me it was already shipped and I would have it in 2 days. She lied and hadn't shipped it yet. They didn't ship it until another 2 days later. This constant delay caused it to be delivered on a Saturday, which meant I wouldn't get it until Monday; after my Xmas with my family. I was fortunately able to workout with the post office to hold the package for me. Will never do business with this company again! read more
