Even the most basic obstacles are at least a story off the ground so know that going in. My 8-year-old thought it was such fun but I must say some of the balance obstacles w no edge got me spooked. Had a lot of fun with my group of teenagers and my 70 year old parents in August 2022. The parents didn't last the entire time, but were able to grab some great photos after they wore out. The park is nice and clean. They serve beer and soda. There is about a half hour of orientation before climbing. My 5 year old girl was able to complete level 1. Level 2-5 get more challenging. Bring a water bottle to refill. For spectators there is corn hole and ping pong. 2 swings for very small children. Plenty of shade and viewing angles. Being suntan lotion and your ID. You can only bring sunglasses on the course. Ever I thing else must be left in your car if you are climbing. They will store your keys. Very nice cluster and great staff. read more

This place deserves every one of its (5) stars. It was an incredible experience. We drove by it and called in advance of our visit and they were full of useful information to help us gauge the experience for our group. Age range 5 to 45. We made a reservation for (12) people. I recommend a reservation. You drive up and it just looks amazing. Such a great looking course. Upon arrival the waiver process was simple and well thought out. The staff had so much great information to again help us decide if we wanted to complete just the lower level, or pay more for higher levels. We started on the lower as the upgrade is so easy should you decide midway through. The super professional staff geared up the kids and then walked the adults through their own process into harness, helmets and gloves. All clean and well organized upon arrival. We went to ground school before we were invited to hit up The Tower. Ground school took us through the rules. So clearly outlined again for all ages. Then we were off. I'll admit, my partner in crime was a nervous 5 year old. Only one person is allowed on an obstacle at a time so when she went first, there was no turning back. I'll also admit that I couldn't coach her through and she was halfway out. Not ideal as a mom. I had no worries though. One of the guides named Hope stepped right in and asked my daughter if she needed help and my daughter said yes and Hope skillfully and quickly went out to meet her and help her through the first obstacle. It would not be an over statement to say that after that my daughter (5 years old) was able to conquer the entire lower level on her own. Zip lining and climbing and laughing and having the best time. My son and I upgraded and progressed to level two and three. Definitely progressively more challenging but the staff was there in sight at all times to offer support and guidance and potentially a rescue if needed. They were kind and caring and so great. It's not cheap but we had an incredible 2 hours of climbing. Great bonding for our 12 person group and such confidence building for all of us. Would go again in a heartbeat! read more

Ample shade for viewing and other things to do for non-climbers like corn hole, ping pong, swings, beer stand, etc. Two hours of climbing is definitely sufficient--my kids were quite tired when done. The only negative, and this is mentioned on their website, is that the lowest level, which you are restricted too with the lower price, is very basic and most fitting for young children, probably 6 and under. Anyone older than that will quickly grow tired of those obstacles and want to upgrade to the higher plan and access the entire course. Have to say that this was the highlight of our beach trip. We started with a group of 14 spending two hours climbing through the super climbing/zip lining structure. Staff was always available to get you in and out of the various courses. And don't worry about getting stuck. You can hold onto your harness and "zip" through obstacles that are beyond your physical activity level. For those not climbing, there were plenty of shaded areas, a playground, etc. where non-participants could comfortably spectate. Afterwards, you're going to be hot and sweaty (go early in the day). What's waiting for you? Cool, scented towels to clean up! And for those over 21, head to the front snack bar for a cold beer (or ice cream if that's more your style). After we finished climbing and cooling down, we meandered over to the axe throwing station where we spent an hour rotating our group through the four lanes. Our guide gave us a quick intro on throwing and then we all started throwing the various axes until we found the one that suited us best. I could not rave about this place enough! Highly recommend that you break up your week at the beach with this outing! read more

We had an awesome time at CAP!! Not only was the course fun and challenging, but everyone on the staff was super friendly which made it an amazing experience all around. We had a group with 2 adults, one 10 year old and 2 6 year olds and everyone had a great time. The course has many levels of difficulty so there is something for everyone. Luckily for us we went on an overcast day so it wasn't too hot. I would definitely recommend going early or late in the day when it's hot. Either way, there's a snack bar with cold draft beer, root beer floats and ice cream to help keep you cool after you climb. read more

This has got to be the most fun I have had in a long time!! I most definitely got over most of my fears doing this activity. I have a slight fear of heights, but by the time I got to the second obstacle on the first level, height was no longer an issue. My main concern was navigating the course without falling! Yes you are wearing a harness and cord, but who wants to fall? Especially with a few dozen spectators.. One of the obstacles on the second level almost broke me (with the colored plastic vertical pipes). I actually did fall back on that one, but was close enough to the platform to break my fall. After that, my stomach was not the same! By the time I completed level 2, I was running low on energy, it's so intense! I didn't do anything on level 3, but I did end the time slot with one of the courses on level 4, the one by the selfie area and it was so fun! I bailed halfway through that last one and ziplined back to the tower. But I wanted to zipline anyway, so it was all good. All in all, this adventure park really challenged me and made me get out of my comfort zone. I was so proud of myself and my hubby for doing this.. it was a great workout too. 5 stars all the way! Staff was very friendly and helpful and the course was crazy fun for our kids. You can sign up for the lower level and then upgrade if you want. The lower course was a cake walk for our 8 year old twins and my 8 year old niece and the second and third levels were more challenging. My 5 year old nephew broke into tears on the first level but there were other kids his age doing it. Check out the height requirements on line before you go. We noticed that they rent closed toe shoes if you aren't prepared. Many adults were also participating (some with kids because their children were short and some in groups of adults). I recommend an early time slot because it was pretty hot. The ice cold spa towels are a welcome ending. Our only regret is that we didn't discover early in the week because you can do a week pass for $100 which would have been a very fun hour or two for a few days. The bookings give you two hours on the course which is more than enough time. My kids said it was their favorite activity and it blew my mind how fearless they were. I particularly recommend for 8 years old and up but if my kids were younger and wanted to try, I would let them. The whole experience felt very safe. read more

My husband and 5 year old did this for 2 hrs and LOVED it! The staff was super nice. I was a little disappointed they didn't have anything for your children to do. I was hoping they had a little playground or something for those families who have kids under 4 but some kids older then 4. Luckily I planned ahead and brought toys for him and a book for me. I can't wait til he is 4 and we can all do it. Looked like a lot of fun and hard work too. Highly recommend for those with children who are adventurist and high energy because they will need it. Just back from a family vacation to the OBX and had a great time. we happened to drive by the Corolla Adventure Park and it looked like a blast. That night we researched and found it just opened and of course had to book reservations for the next day. We were not disappointed! Had a GREAT time! The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in the door, getting us paid and checked-in; through the on ground training and instruction then up to the tower. We felt safe even at the highest levels and when we fell off, the harness made us feel completely safe and secure. As you can imagine, the lower levels are easier and get progressively harder the higher you go up the tower. We had a blast seeing who could go around the circuit the fastest or without falling. The guides on the tower were attentive, helpful and encouraging. We were exhausted at the end and sore the next day but we all keep talking about how much fun we had. We would certainly do it again! We came in October which was a great idea for us. We had the entire place to ourselves. We didn't feel rushed and the 2 guides we had were amazing. I don't remember their names but it's the 2 guys with long blonde hair that could be mistaken for twins (they were roommates in college). The check-in process was super simple and we completed the forms beforehand which was easy. The guys were encouraging, engaging, patient, funny, and had great taste in music. The obstacles were challenging but fun. It was a bit of a dreary day but that didn't stop the fun. I highly recommend this place. I'm not sure how crazy it is during peak season but slightly off-season is perfect! Oh and they have the best shirts. I wish I could have bought 1 of each of them. read more

We were in town for a weeks vacation and a wedding that didn't happen due to hurricane Matthew. With the waves and rip currents making swimming impossible, we made the drive from southern shores to Corolla to check out the adventure park. First impression getting out of the truck is wow and it doesn't look too big. Well, the place is a ton bigger than it looks and a lot more challenging than it looks. It's a little expensive but well worth the price. We had five people in our group go in ages ranging from my three year old son (who is the youngest daredevil they have ever had) up to my wife (who had to chase our three year old through the first level of the park.) needless to say, everyone had fun and went to bed early that night. We would definitely make this trip again. read more

This was our first trip with 6 and 13 year old kids to a zip lining park. The concept of an obstacle course with zip lining was a wonderful experience for the kids. They thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours well spent on the course.
